Transfer desk was unable to get us to Bari same day although it was only noon; rebooked for 6:55am next day... Significant financial loss to us."

Ulemper: "Business class is not as roomy as other airlines. My partner had to climb over me to reach the aisle, there is very little storage space and seat size is quite small. Choice of movies is limited."

Fordele: "There was a very long line at the check in counter on the way back. Many people were nervous about missing their flights. Apparently the counter computers were out of order and they only had 2 stations to support the passengers at a very busy time. Other than that, everything was smooth and pleasurable."

Ulemper: "I have just had the most unpleasant experience with Swiss Air and feel that anyone on FB should be very careful when dealing with this airline. I am a Gold Member of Star Alliance for more than 20 years and have flown dozens of times on Swiss and would expect courtesy and consideration in return for my loyalty to their airline. Their flight from Hong Kong to Zurich leaves at 00:15. I mistakenly booked this for Nov 9th instead of the intended late evening of the 9th which then turns out to be Nov 10th. When I discovered my error, I called Swiss at least six times to explain my error and ask if my son could stand by for the same flight on the 10th or even apply the amount to rebook the same flight the next day. ZERO flexibility or consideration. Missed flight, lose entire value. Start from scratch. Astonished that an airline that claims to be serving their customers would treat me this way. I travel through Europe at least 6-10 times a year from Asia. I will now route through Frankfurt, Munich, Paris, London, Vienna, Instanbul or even Moscow before ever going through Zurich again. I encourage anyone making travel plans to be very careful when considering flights with Swiss Airlines. Perhaps this treatment of a loyal customer explains why they went through bankruptcy already once."

Fordele: "Best food and attention that I've had on an airline in 20 years. Really. I was telling a friend today, Swiss Air started with drinks, gave us a Parisian baguette sandwich, gave us a healthy breakfast of yoghurt warm croissant butter jam orange juice, drinks again, and several passengers surrounding me got special attention, one woman with a baby, a disabled person, and a teenager that was 6'5" was relaocated by the flight attendant without him even asking to a bulkhead seat for more comfort. You don't see this kind a attention to detail on any US flights or US airlines, so I noticed it. It was as if I was traveling back in the 70's or 80's when Airlines would compete for our dollars with their service. I mentioned to my friend that if I had a choice and Swiss Air was one of the choices, I'd choose Swiss Air over any other airline."

Ulemper: "The seats were old and uncomfortable and the arm rests did not go all the way up."

Fordele: "Swiss has amazing crew. Incredibly polite and accommodating. Their food (for economy class seat) was very good to excellent. The new Boeing 777 is also a smooth plane to ride."
Ulemper: "The boarding process in Zurich was a free for all. There is not a "method" to their boarding (i.e. by row or zone) so all 300 passengers crowded around the gate. We paid $100 for exit seats but the seats were barely wide enough for me...a medium built thin male. Unfortunately this appears to be the trend. Swiss would do well to have a wide economy section."

Fordele: "Seat assignment had taken into account that we had a 45 minute window to our connecting flight. Everyone very pleasant and helpful. Fantastic help to escort us to our connecting flight so we did not miss it! Did not make us feel rushed even though time was short!"

Ulemper: "They gave me and the 2 other black people who were flying, the seats all the way in the back. I'm never telling the people at check in "just give me any seat" ever again! It was so obvious I almost complained to all the attendants! I just tried to keep my cool... HORRIBLE FIRST EXPERIENCE TO EUROPE!"

Fordele: "It's such a short flight that to me the experience is pretty insignificant. I liked that it was on time and the rest was very average for what I expected in a 45 minutes flight"

Ulemper: "There was much confusion and no one seemed to know what was going on with this flight. By the time I reached Schipol all trains and trams had stopped. I had to pay an extra 40 euro for cab home that night."

Fordele: "The crew was very professional and friendly. That is a great thing since it's a long flight. Very well prepared! Entertainment was nice lots of options there to keep you busy."
Ulemper: "I wasn't pleased with their meals so that it's important when it's a long flight, and not many choices available."

Fordele: "This was my first time flying on Swiss Air. Beautiful aircraft and a very friendly crew. Food was good and our flight was on time. Lots of options for in-flight entertainment."
Ulemper: "The boarding process was not ideal. This was our first time in the Zurich airport and we were not aware of the passport check at the gate. There were no signs and several passengers tried to board without the stamp only to be sent to the passport check line. Very frustrating. Also, there was no organization so everyone just rushed forward when boarding was called. They should consider boarding by rows to make it a more orderly process. Finally, there was no leg room at all. I realize airlines are trying to squeeze every passenger in that they can, but this was ridiculous. I'm 5'11" and my knees were pinned against the seat in front of me."

Ulemper: "The experience in the Frankfurt airport was terrible! We had arrived from Rome with an hour between landing and boarding. When we were directed to security at Gate Z, there was a huge mob of people, not really in lines. We didn’t know what we were waiting for or where to stand, but we and others around us were very worried about missing our next flight. There was no Lufthansa representative to help. Finally someone directed some of us to a long roundabout back way to Gate Z security. We did get to our gate in time for boarding, only because it had been delayed. Then we sat in the plane for over half an hour. Altogether, it took off more than an hour late, so we missed our flight from Chicago to Minneapolis."

Ulemper: "Flyet var forsinket så jeg missede forbindelsen til CPH i Frankfurt. Det kan ske. Blev omboket til tidligt fly næste morgen. Sådan måtte det jo så være. Men at skulle stå i kø som business pasager i 55 min for at få hotelvoucher og nyt boardingpass var for meget. Economy havde endnu længere kø. Skikkerhedstjek næste morgen i Frankfurt tog 35 min for business og op mod 1t for economy!"

Ulemper: "Flight left late! Flight attendants not super attentive. Meals came late. Took forever to get off the plane! Plane never made it to the terminal but passengers were let off in the middle of the airport and placed on buses! No driver on a fully loaded bus for 10 min. Terrible! Didn’t make it on next"

Fordele: "The plane looked new and clean. The TVs worked well (as opposed to our first flight) and kept our family entertained. The kids meal was prepared in an appealing way for my kids (even though the kids didn't like it some of it - but they tried everything!)."

Ulemper: "Flight was very delayed in Munich due to a shortage of land and handling crew. Very disappointing. Everyone I know who takes this flight complains about the same problem. Arrived in Geneva around 21:00, 1 1/2 hours later than anticipated time of arrival."

Ulemper: "Not being able to pick seating until 23 hours before the flight. A huge plane for first and business class. Economy left with uncomfortable seats, no legroom whatsoever and I am only 5’. Food was awful. Extra long walk in Frankfurt to baggage."

Fordele: "Service was excellent. Late night flight was kept dark so we could rest - wonderful dinner menu, surprising for plane food."
Ulemper: "Flight was delayed so there was a bit of a chaos boarding but it has nothing to do with the service itself."

Ulemper: "Cancelled at last minute. Rebooking was not done correctly and I was denied boarding from Washington Dulles to Orlando. Lufthansa didn’t do something right so United said the ticket was invalid."

Ulemper: "NO legroom. Like, none. Seat in front of me hadn’t mechanicals underneath, so no footroom. Passenger put seat back, and I couldn’t use my tray table. Crew call buttons on the arm, so by merely putting your elbow down, you risked calling the crew ( I did it twice). Then my TV broke. Not a terrific experience overall"

Fordele: "Boarding was done very quickly. Unlike the norm nowadays, people weren't cramming every single inch of space in the overhead. In addition, the flight wasn't full so my travel companion got to enjoy a full row to himself while I enjoyed an empty seat next to me to stretch out. The food was very good. The staff came by quite a few times to offer orange juice or water. The entertainment syren was excellent. I watched four full movies on the trip and have in mind at least a couple more for the return leg."

Fordele: "They did get us other flights home and got us a hotel to stay in. There were meal vouchers but it was so late by the time we were rebooked we could not eat dinner and our flights left too early to be able to use them, but it was a nice effort on their part."
Ulemper: "They cancelled the flight due to mechanical issues which was understandable. The problem was the chaos at Frankfurt airport because the instructions given to us to get to the Lufthansa service desk were totally inadequate. At least we didn't have to sleep at the airport like some passengers did."

Fordele: "Comfortable seats, good variety entertainment"
Ulemper: "Every time LH lands in Bangalore, the priority bags are never given priority. Secondly, my bags were opened and items from inside the bag were taken, like pants and shoes. The luggage strap around the bag was removed and stolen."

Ulemper: "They rescheduled me for 40+ hours of flight instead of the 19 that I had paid for. Instead of flying me directly Turin to Munich, I had to go Turin to Frankfurt, 5.5 hour layover, then Frankfurt to Munich, 13.5 hour layover, then Munich to Denver. 2 of those 3 flights were an hour delayed."

Ulemper: "Pilot strike caused much distress in Frankfort. The best that could be done was a layover extended by 5 hours and a diversion to Luxembourg. The final leg of the trip was further delayed an extra hour due to mechanical difficulties in Luxembourg."

Fordele: "Nothing, this flight never happened because of the strike."
Ulemper: "Luthansa rebooked me on BA, and stripped away my Premium Upgrade seating, giving me economy, an aisle seat next to a bathing-challenged male. It was disgusting and re-injured my leg wound."

Fordele: "I would like a direct flight from Krakow to Chicago. Lufthansa is a very good airline to Poland. Would definitely fly Lufthansa again."

Fordele: "From Munich to Toronto, it was great, especially being seated where I wanted, the window. I was able to watch great movies too, and during a 9hr flight, thats really nice."
Ulemper: "The food could be better. Too salty. But it is better than nothing and it was hot! So that was good."

Fordele: "The flights itself was ok. The flight attendants caused me no problems, and the flights, when I FINALLY got on them, were smooth."
Ulemper: "everything else. The franfurt airport closure made me miss school because they did not offer extra flights to accommodate all the displaced travelers. I had to stay in the Frankfurt airport for a FULL EXTRA DAY, and every time I tried to get a new ticket, or ask anyone for help, I was given the run around. No one was helpful. I talked to about a dozen Lufthansa employees that day and only one was helpful at all. It was a hellish nightmare. Before my last flight, I was furious with how I had been treated all day and a horrible Lufthansa woman yelled at me for being upset about the situation. Then, when after much hassle I finally got to my destination, I was told my baggage was lost. That was on thursday and I still have not gotten it. i am never flying lufhansa again. This was the worst trip of my entire life."

Ulemper: "I got a wrong flight from you, different than the one initially selected, upon my payment !...with 6 hours overlay instead of 50 minutes. For that I had to pay extra $300 !"

Ulemper: "Certainly don’t expect the luxury of SE Asian or Middle Eastern airlines"

Fordele: "Crew allowed me to change seats to get two empty seats by the window that were available."

Fordele: "I do like the clean aircraft, and pretty precise service. Also it was on time , for comfort the pillow and the blanket was nice . Some airlines doesn’t give anything anymore! Which is awful."
Ulemper: "Just a small thing the lady who was serving and picking up the used cups said I have to finish the juice and after she can take it away. But I couldn’t finish because it was too sweet and I didn’t like the juice. So I had to get up and bring the cup to the back. That wasn’t nice. Also they at but flexible about giving choices. Only one kind of sandwich they had but I think there was one other kid also."

They lost 3 out of the 4 bags, but assured me all 3 were on the very next flight. The next flight came in but only 2 more had been put on that flight. Still waiting on 4th..."

Fordele: "It was better with the earache, plane felt cleaner, the crew was more friendly and attentive. Didn't feel as dark as the first flight."
Ulemper: "The Star Alliance flights aren't that cheap. Comparable price between Lufthansa, Swiss, SAS and Austrian. Lufthansa gives you food, and has friendly service. SAS gives you coffee and tea. On Austrian and Swiss I didn't get anything. For same price range and same alliance, that is a point I keep in mind. Now I mainly try to get onto Lufthansa flights (or Turkish Airlines which is my favorite). Even on Aegean, I got better food, and the magazine was better, plus there were some monitors to track the flight. Austrian feels cheaper than the others. That is the main point I didn't like."

Fordele: "The wafer bar. Pilot had a good landing in high winds and snow."
Ulemper: "Nothing to complain."

Fordele: "Good service overall, the ground crew was very helpful and friendly"

Fordele: "Boarding was great. As it was a short there was no entertainment. I would have chosen N/A bit that wasn’t an option hence the one star."
Ulemper: "I wish there was an option of a sandwich vice sweet or pretzels."

Fordele: "The attendants on Austrian air are all very nice and helpful. You can make any request of them or ask any question and they are happy to help. Great customer service. Arrived on time. Also, very good entertainment options!"
Ulemper: "The seats are very uncomfortable on Austrian air. The only way I would fly them again would be if I had extra money for the exit rows with more leg room. Food isn't great, but no airline food is really great. Boarding was significantly delayed from what it said on the boarding pass, with no updates. But we arrived on time. Getting luggage after flight at Dulles took a really long time, but I think that is more of an airport issue as getting my luggage from another Austrian airlines flight to another airport was a breeze."

Ulemper: "Flight left late. Unboarding took a long time. Didn't hold connecting flight, missed it. Now on 5 hr wait and may miss airport transit."

Ulemper: "When I try to make the change of itinerary on Austrian Airlines on the selling web page, they told me to contact the Austrian Airlines, so I did. The Austrian Airlines lady who told me that I would just lose my tickets and that I could not even pay a penalty to avoid such thing, was very VERY RUDE!! As the Austrian Airlines did not offer me an option but losing my plane ticket,"

Ulemper: "The ground crew harassed us for bringing our instruments on board. We fly with instruments for our work and this was the first time we were forced to check certain items and were detained for a period of time so that the ground crew could check with their superiors."

Fordele: "The food was excellent and the business class layout was perfect."
Ulemper: "On the arrival at Toronto, there was no one at the gate to roll out the gangway bridge. So we waited on the plane 10 minutes. We were flying on to LAX on Air Canada. It took 1 3/4 hours for our luggage to clear the US Customs pre check. Unsatisfactory."

Ulemper: "Predictably, why I was expected to meet the tight schedule between planes squeezed by the 1st flight leaving one hour later than planned, my checked-in baggage apparently wasn't. So for me 35 minutes was more than enough to go through yet another passport checkpoint, security checkpoint, run like a headless chicken then travel by bus to the plane; for AU it wasn't enough to transfer my bag to the connecting flight."

Ulemper: "Boarding on return flight was utter chaos and was not controlled properly. The crew was very pleasant and , in my opinion, could not have been any bertter."

Fordele: "friendly, helpful crew"
Ulemper: "I paid a premium to book a direct flight (ages ago) and then had to rerouted last minute (same day) with no reason given other than "it's our fault". I inquired about paying to change destination city and or seat to a premium seat (for the 9+ hour flight) when I recvd the reservations for the new flights that were made at the airport around 8am for flights that left at around noon and 3pm. I was told no better seat(s) was available. However, a half hour before the flight was boarded several announcements were made regarding all the upgrades that were available. Liars annoy me."

Fordele: "Crew and boarding were fine. But nothing to crow about. Just not stressful."
Ulemper: "That was the most uncomfortable flight I have had. It was hard fora short flight, though sitting so close to another passenger, side and front was stressful. Plus, my back was killing me by the end of the short flight- and the long flight from Europe to the US was hard. It was pretty much knocking elbows with the passenger next to me when eating. And mind you- no passenger in my row as any larger than the average person. The seat recline was fine and marginally helpful in relieving back strain- except it did put you in the lap of the passenger behind you. The passenger across the aisle from me shoved the seat in front of her and told the passenger in front of her he could NOT recline. The passenger next to her (I assume her husband) joined in with the shoving. I finally felt a need to intervene and calm them down as it began to escalate- and I did want the flight to continue. Note- while I think the passengers shoving the seat were a bit rude- the crowded nature of the seating with the recline was hard, so I understand. But the person in front had a reason (and a NEED given the discomfort) to lean his seat back. The seats were simply too uncomfortable to keep them upright. I helped them find a recline for both passengers that was reasonably okay. I also tried to get my recline somewhere between comfortable for me (impossible) and reasonable in space for the person behind me, This is an airline problem. And when people wonder about the rise in passenger rage... this cramming in is it. I had to use Austrian because of a last minute need to book a flight- given the inability to relax even a little and the residual back and leg pain ... thus my ability to immediately jump into work during a busy work and travel schedule means that I will definitely not take this airline again. If you are shorter than 5' 5 and weigh about 100 lbs- this might be okay. Otherwise, expect to be a lot of rats shoved in a cage."

Ulemper: "At 11h30 of 14/9 we (HOANG MINH CHAU and NGUYEN SI THANH) were standing at the ticket counter in Vienna and we could not check in due to no payment yet for the ticket and so the reservation has been cancelled. Due to this reason we had have to buy new tickets at the airport ticketing counter. So please sort out your problem with the airline and get back to me. From my bank the payment has been done yet to you. We had have double pay for one trip."

Ulemper: "Men hvorfor annoncerer man at flyet skal board 1 time inden det sker, så passagererne kommer til at stå i kø unødig lang tid. Flyveren var 1 time forsinket på Flightradar24 og også i virkeligheden!!! Det var ikke noget groundpersonalet ville ud med, så alle annonceringer gik efter tidsplanen - den originale med altså en times gap! SAS find jer en mere kvalificeret partner i Athen, da det er var helt hen i vejret og dårlig service."

Ulemper: "Confused information and double/extra charge for only one check-in baggage. They should make clear in the first place when booking ticket or check in online but NOT. I have to pay $83 dollars for one luggage."

They know that there is a problem with luggage transfer on connecting flight, but don't bother to do anything about it. Customer service representative is not able to provide any information, doesn't even understand English well. Nobody answers the phone... At this point, we're still waiting for our bags"

Ulemper: "We arrived late in Copenhagen and I had 20 minutes to catch my connecting flight. Even though I was checked-in for the Copenhagen to Athens flight it left without me. I was then transferred through Prague to get to Athens and again missed my connecting flight through there. Now I am stuck in Prague looking for a flight to Athens and most likely will miss my next flight from Athens to Karpathos and will again be stuck in Athens because there are no flights out to Karpathos until 19 of May, 3days from now. I was physically in the Copenhagen airport and could have made that flight, I feel that since I was already checked in they should have waited for me and allowed me to board. Now I will Be missing work!"

There was a second snack given just before landing that was basically roasted peppers on bread that was not good -- so you know, many vegetarians actually have sensitivity against peppers, so perhaps another vegetable or option would be better there. Crew was very affable and helpful."
Ulemper: "See point before re: second snack. Our flight was delayed for two hours, presumably due to snow in Oslo. The boarding area was disorganized -- something I remember from flying through Norway a few years ago as well. I also didn't quite understand why I received priority boarding, as a United gold member on my outbound fight, but not on my return. So the inconsistency was a bit confusing/frustrating. But the flight overall was smooth, and the accommodations quite good."

Fordele: "SAS is a wonderful airline. I booked round trip with them. The plane was clean and comfortable and on time. Will fly with them again."

Ulemper: "Flight delayed so that would not be able to make the SAS flight. Therefore had to switch flights to go to CHicago instead. But initial flight was booked under alaska--but boarding pass unable to be printed from any of the kiosks and we were told to talk to American. American didn't know anything about it. THen stood in Assistance line for 45 minutes to be told that we needed to talk to VIrgin American. They rebooked us on to American, which then promptly was also delayed for several hours, and we thereby missed our connection. Throughout the process there were no customer service representatives either in person or on the phone who were remotely helpful. Overall, worst travel experience of my life."

Når der sættes reservefly ind af væsentligt lavere kvalitet end den vare, som man forventet køb, så bude der være en eller anden form for kompensation. Forøvrigt glad for jeg ikke havde indløst business på denne tur da det i grunden havde været at betalte dobbelt for forventelig komfort på en moderne SAS Plus."

Ulemper: "Booked 3 flights all on Ryanair for a trip inside Portugal. The booking agent, Gotogate.com, and Ryanair left me deserted. Some error occurred and I received the same flight booking # for all 3 the flights. I discovered this when trying to retrieve my boarding pass for the second flight. Neither company fixed the problem and I could not board the flight. I ended up having to rent a car and drive to Porto (6 hours away). Neither company have anyone that can assist with these issues on the weekend. The worst experience I could have had on my birthday vacation."

Ulemper: "The seats are small and they don’t lay back even when I upgraded to priority. I had to ask for food and water and paid a lot. But mainly the flight was delayed over 2 hours before boarding and then another 45 min in the cramped plan:("

Ulemper: "Baggage policy is very unclear. Boarding procedures are slow and inefficient. Seats are uncomfortable. Air didn't function and the flight was very hot."

Ulemper: "Everything cost money. They were late both flights. The seats didn’t recline. There was no communication for the boarding. It cost $100 each way for bags. It cost $24 to print out your boarding pass if you did it at the airport. Water even cost money. No pocket on the seat backs to put stuff in. Bags took forever to get."

Ulemper: "Sat on the plane for 1:30 due to delays and missing our departure slot then to be informed that there was no water ,drinks or any food on the plane due to “supply issues”. Then the conveyor system to broke down at East Midlands and all the cases had to be moved into the collection area by had by 2 security staff All in all 3 hours later for the booked taxi and didn’t arrive home till 4am ! Never had such a bad experience with Ryanair and East Midlands airport"

At flyene er skrabet - der er intet net til opbevaring. At kabinepersonalet taler utroligt dårligt engelsk, så man ikke forstår, hvad der bliver sagt over højttaleren."

Vi sad foran og kunne ikke få varmen pga alle de folk der skulle ind, som ikke kunne gå ind bagfra - det ville sige alle skulle igennem fronten og det tog også rigtig lang tid. Ulemper: "Too pricey for hold luggage so everyone is taking hand luggage and not enough room on flight. My legs were really sore I felt uncomfortable and squeezed in."

Ulemper: "Flyet var så forsinket at vi ikke nåede flyet til Budapest, vi er derfor strandet i Berlin til næste dag, vi har ikke noget sted at sove eller være og vi måtte bruge over dobbelt så mange penge på nye flybilletter. Derudover går det ud over vores uddannelse, for det er vores studietur I har ødelagt."

Fordele: "Flight landed 15 min early which was great but that's only because a lot of people have been complaining about their delays so they had to make it up in some way. I had to pay $50 for my luggage bc Ryanair believes that when you fly you should be empty handed. Smart crew we got going..."

Ulemper: "Delay with no information.this is an airline that although cheap has no interest in customers"

Fordele: "Staff is ok"
Ulemper: "Flight delayed more than 1.5 hours. We were seated apart."

Ulemper: "It was our first trip with Ryanair and it is really low low cost, compared to Norvegian and other low cost airlines. Never again - first and last time...."

Fordele: "Grew was nice, professional"
Ulemper: "Flight was delayed. I missed my business meeting"

Fordele: "Ingenting"
Ulemper: "Fly forsinket. Boarder folk med prioritet til at stå og vente i gangen. Flyet var end ikke landet endnu da vi begyndte boarding. Efter ca25 minutter blev vi lukket ud på pladsen til flyet men blev stoppet igen og stod der i godt 20 minutter inden vi kom ombord. Sammenlagt forsinket 1 time."

Fordele: "The flight was short"
Ulemper: "They made me check my bag when other people behind me had bigger bags. They also didn't make clear lines to board the plane so people were cutting each other. The staff didn't seem to care. I was disappointed with ryan air staff and their lack of care. It seems like they wanted to get it over with as opposed to making sure they were doing their job. This isn't a bagel shop, it's an airplane. It makes me wonder how well the planes are inspected..."
