When the cabin lights are ON, the crew is hustling to keep the passengers occupied and chewing. Free Beer, Wine and mixed drinks in Coach! Every Service - Snack, Drinks, Lunch, Dinner, Coffee/Tea, Second and Third rounds of drinks includes a cold towel to wipe your face and hands and most important, trash is collected promptly EVERY single time. WOW. I noticed that Flight Attendants take notes on sleeping passengers for every major meal service, and they take the time to revisit those customers when awake to check they might have wanted to be fed. I also noticed that the crew has special double sided tape to pickup crumbs and spills in the aisles so grime is not tracked into the carpet. Dont be surprized to see a flight attendant cruising the aisle after dinner with a soft cooler full of small vanilla Hagen Daz cups..."
Ulemper: "We flew from Bangkok to Washington Dulles with a connection in Tokyo. Snow in Japan caused crew shifts to max out and ultimately a dramatic change in flight departure. (Guaranteeing a missed connection) This caused multiple downstream challenges. 1. Original flight was scheduled for 00:30. (Half Past Midnight), rescheduled flight was scheduled for 12:30 (Half Past Noon) For Americans unused to a 24 hour clock, this made emails From ANA very difficult to wrap your mind around. Was it a typo? What happens when you miss your connection? (Turns out weather delays do NOT result in accommodations or meals being provided) Rescheduled flight should have been for 1231 with (AM/PM in Parentheses) 2. For passengers who spent their vacation/trip near the equator, the prospect of spending the night in snowbound Tokyo was simply not addressed in the cancellation email. The better option was to stay in your original point of origin and make the connection in one day, but email has NO telephone number for passengers to call to make these arrangements. (We ended up calling a toll California telephone number to be sure we got an English speaking agent) 3. Many SE Asian departing cities have a crazy baggage weight policy that allows for Two bags of 25 Kilos each , but if you have a single bag that weights 32 Kilos, you must pay excess baggage. Although the policy may NOT be specific to ANA, there are hundreds of folks of all nationalities repacking suitcases on the floor of the airport, to try to meet the regulations. As a traveler I understand this, but as an ANA customer it makes no sense, especially when the ticket agent cannot charge the overage to a credit card at the ticket counter. Instead sending you to a different location then waiting for you to return with a receipt. Its a huge scam and ANA can do better communicating the rules to passengers via email or their web site. Nothing starts a long trip off worse than arguments over arcane rules. 4. Changing a return flight arrangement as a result of weather happens at the last moment, but seat assignments apparently could not keep up. I would rather NOT fly than face a center seat in coach for 14 hours. I cannot explain what happened, but repeated attempts at advance check in showed NO assigned seats available, the ticket and gate agents could not improve on this, but BOTH flights ended up having empty seats and in the end we stressed for nothing. ANA must be able to do better, improving their IT systems to make advance seat assignments possible no matter how challenging the problem of "equipment" and other changes in the face of a canceled flight."

Ulemper: "First, I did an online check-in and was able to secure a seat for the first leg of the flight, but was able to get any information on my second leg. So when I arrived at the Thai Airways counter to load in my bags I asked the Thai Airways representative about the missing information. His response was that he could not get into the ANA system and that I have to go to the ANA counter to ask for that information. Given that my layover in Narita was only about 45mins landing to going to the gate, I was not comfortable with not knowing if I would be on that flight or not. The Thai Airways representation at the boarding counter did help me a bit and got in touch with a guide in Narita to help me get my luggages and get to gate properly. I wanted to note that we did not arrive in Narita on time due to the high air traffic so the plane had to circle around for 15 mins. When we finally landed I had about 15 mins to get through the custom and ran to my gate. When I received my ticket I was shocked that I got a middle seat on a 13 hours flight! If I have known this earlier I would have paid for a better seat, but since I was not able to check-in online and didn't receive any info about this flight prior to boarding I was not allowed to change on this full flight. In addition, the plane ride was awful. The food was disgusting and the seat was very uncomfortable. The seat did not even recline back! I don't expect much from a short distance flight but for a 13 hour long flight, I at least expect the seat to be slightly better than sitting on a rock against a brick wall. All in all, this was a HORRIFIC EXPERIENCE I went through. The stress and the discomfort on the plane was an experience that no one should ever feel while traveling. It was an awful nightmare on an ANA flight. I would like a refund on this flight with no exceptions. Sincerely, Jessica Saesue"

Fordele: "We were the only flight at the airport and got to walk out to the plane and board directly. Ground crew lined up and waved good-bye as we pulled out to runway. Very friendly attendants. No wait, arrived 10 minutes early."
Ulemper: "Small seats and minimal food and drink options but the flight was only 90 min so not important."
Ulemper: "i didnt like the fact that the flight was cancelled and i was not notified the staff there were no help at all , overall pathetic by then having to take a later flight i then missed my connecting flight to Melbourne which in turn caused me to delay my return by a day then causing me to miss my transport back to my home which is three hours from the airport , i was told in Jakarta that someone would meet me in Melbourne on my arrival to make arrangment for my travel home but no one was there so i had to make my own way home costing me extra money . Overall my exsperience with your airline was a disaster for a so called international airline and i would never recomend to my friends to fly with you ."
Ulemper: "Garuda played loud “music” on arrival so we couldn’t watch the entertainment system. Getting onto the flight was horrid with long long long wait on the bus to go from terminal to airplane. Food was ultra salty and dreadful."

Ulemper: "The international transfer process at Manila airport was the worst I’ve ever seen. They had about 20 people standing at a desk for about 90 minutes with no explanation as to what was going on. In that time, nobody was released to go to their gate, but they wouldn’t explain what was happening. There were about 10 airport staff standing there, mostly doing nothing. The process was inefficient, to say the least. There was no place to sit, no toilets, no order to any of it. In most international airports, after you deplane, you just walk to your next gate. There seemed to be no logical reason for that awful experience. It would have been much faster to go through customs and then go through security, walking directly to the gate."
Fordele: "The crew went above and beyond the meet my needs. I requested the Cathay draft beer Betsy which wasn't loaded, unfortunately, but the crew managed to find one in economy."
Ulemper: "It was annoying the entertainment content on the A350 and 777-300ER were slightly different. I was watching a show but could not finish it."
Ulemper: "Very small in the plane"

Ulemper: "Well at least you could at least know what happened but instead i still got message from you that my flight was still on for 1235 really are you guys that really dumb??"
Ulemper: "in-flight food and beverage choices needs lot of improvement"
Fordele: "The onboard crews were excellent. The entertainment was good too. However, the HK check in counter staffs were terrible, rude, condescending, unprofessional. They left bad tastes in our mouths and ruined the whole trip experience."
Ulemper: "Cathay HK check in counter staffs need to be courteous, respectful, and professional. They need to be trained not to be rude, condescending, disrespectful, unprofessional"
Fordele: "Crew were super nice and friendly. Great selection of movies. Seemed to more washrooms than most planes; no long lines."
Ulemper: "Interior was dated; seat didn’t recline properly. Boarding was a bit hit and miss; no zones or row priorities, just one big line. Wine with dinner wasn’t the best."

After I clear up with him, he started gossiping with his colleague as it was my fault for not comprehending his English. How did Cathay Pacific become this way?"

Fordele: "The seats are old .. the plane is old .. the flight was delayed 2 hours, food even in first class lounge is not apetising the menu has been cut significantly.. lettuce and tomato say that they are not sourced from China .. must be from India as the quality sucks"
Ulemper: "On time is an expectation that if you travel from HK to BKK on CX that it is always delayed .. common knowledge for people in Thailand.. this is bad"
Fordele: "seats that i selected was change when we enter the boarding gate without informing us"
Fordele: "Really good flight, no complaints here. Friendly and efficient staff."
Fordele: "Our flight was delayed 45 in Chicago due to ice on the wings. Then about 10 mins of holding to land. With a 90 min lay over, unboarding and reboarding was rushed......but Cathay and security did their best I feel, It was only a 90 min flight and I didn't eat or watch a movie."
Ulemper: "Again, being 6-4, I struggle with comfort and after having no time to rest while switching planes, I was exhausted when I arrived in Manila."

Ulemper: "Plan was 2 hours late departing, my daughter also took this flight 6 weeks beforehand and had similar delays."

Ulemper: "I checked in online, printed the boarding passes as I know japan probably isn’t ready for phone apps for checking in. When I went to the counter, despite being the one holding all the documents (and having organized the whole travel itinerary, the staff only spoke to my husband (Whi hadn’t a clue about the journey) in Japanese. They proceeded to check us in on their computer and insisted that we use their paperwork, not mine. What a farce. What a waste of paper and my time."

Ulemper: "The seats seemed like they had no padding and it kept stabbing me in the back. Seat belts were so thick and hard i couldn't lean in any direction to get comfortable as it would stab me. My partner and I were also seated separately. Painful flight, disappointed."
Fordele: "Cup noodles and snacks available throughout the flight."
Ulemper: "Chicken curry ran out by the time I got served. I don’t really eat beef so I chose pasta, but the pasta was not substantial because it was just pasta noodles and sauce- no veges or anything with it. So I ate some cup noodles but that’s also more carbs. So no protein was available for my diet."
Ulemper: "After my flight from Nanjing was delayed the next two flights to Sydney been overbooked and I was put on a flight to Melbourne to then go from there to Sydney. No Lounge access possible and no food vaucher offered. I had to ask to even get a small food vaucher. Bad!"
Ulemper: "Worst flight experience ever-"
Fordele: "Service and staff. Food was better than most and they weren't stingy with the wine."
Ulemper: "Plane seemed tired. The usb charger didn't work and the reading lights were impossible to use without putting glare into other passengers eyes. The seats were uncomfortable and their design made it difficult to stretch your legs out beneath the row in front. It was a 777 and I never find Boeings as comfortable as Airbus. Selection of in flight entertainment was limited and sound quality was poor."

Ulemper: "Had a missed flight due to weather delay. Made multiple calls to customer service. Multiple times the solution suggested was to go to a local Turkish Airlines office. How many companies are asking to visit a office for service in 2018? Issues were not still resolved. Aircraft seats were worn out and dirty on BOS to Ist and Ist to Miami route."
Fordele: "Modern plane with wider than normal economy seats. Wide screens with a variety of new movies. Food was good. It’s still airplane food but it’s good. Easy process after all with booking m, checking in, onboarding etc"
Fordele: "I like that the FAs gave us all the things needed for a comfortable flight...thanks."
Ulemper: "Flight from Copanhagen to Istanbul was delayed for an hour...computer malfunction was the reason. I was a little bit stressed because I had a connecting flight to Manila, was afraid i wouldn't make it. And also, no gate assignment yet for Istanbul to Manila. Since it was my first time to travel via Turkish Airline, not familiar with Istanbul airport."
Fordele: "They put me on a partner airline after causing my missed connection, so I witnessed nothing good about Turkish Airlines flight at this time."
Ulemper: "After a long saga with no help in making my connecting flight on the same Turkish Airlines, they gave me the boarding pass and told me my luggage was fine to carry on board for the partner airline they put me on. At the gate, that partner airline's reps (or Istanbul airport employees -- not sure) yelled at me that I had too much to carry on board and forced me to hastily check a bag with personal items I did not plan on checking. Needless to say, that also delayed my reaching the final destination even further because I had to wait for the luggage and it was already 1:00 in the morning in an unfamiliar and rough foreign city."
Fordele: "Lounge in istanbul is probably the best I have ever experienced worldwide"
Ulemper: "Chaotic boarding with no priority system and allow too many cabin luggage that it was difficult to put my own little computer bag. Movies selection can be improved"
Fordele: "Long time n not in time Food is not enough quality n quantity for health"
Ulemper: "Must change catering n in time , Staff working in the airport is not pro enough"
Fordele: "I've flown with Turkish airlines a few times and compared to other airlines they are amazing. Even on short distance flight (1 hour flights) the offer a sandwich and drinks. If there are delays the pilot explains what's happening instead of leaving us clueless."
Ulemper: "Lack of communication and unfriendly crew."
Fordele: "Turkish Airlines er normalt, som samlet pakke min favorit, men når indtjekning vælger at sætte 2 voksne mænd på sæder ved nødudgangen der kun er ca. 75% i størrelse af normle (små) sæder, så er 3½ time til Istanbul en lang sammenklemt oplevelse."

Ulemper: "We had to spend the night in Istanbul and get only on the next flight the following morning. TK airport (ground) staff that talked to us was antipathetic and it took ages to get any service. Looks like they didn't care we about the delay, nor they were trying to help us. Just kept saying we need to wait."

Ulemper: "All 5 baggages where delayed and delivered after 5 days. 1 of them is still lost. Turkish Airlines ATL Airport ground staff is never to reach or never answers any calls, mails or notifications."

Ulemper: "since i had a connecting flight and in changing timezones i as served breakfast in both flights in a duration of 12 hours. the food was also not according to my taste buds."
Fordele: "The food and beverage selection, as well as the service in business class was excellent. Initially I dreaded the long layover of 8 hours. But I found the Turkish Airlines Business Lounge. It was so spectacular that I didn't want to leave it. I found a small movie theatre equipped with leather oversized recliners and slept. I was told that the 2 story lounge is 6000 square meters."
Ulemper: "The business class seating is old and not as comfortable as the newer herring bone configurations. Privacy could be improved."
Fordele: "That I heard great things about Turkish Airlines"
Ulemper: "Staff at the gate and on the plane were rude. At the gate, I asked if there was an isle seat or an emergency row seat available (because I have long legs and long feet) and he said he would check and see. Well, he failed to inform me if any of the seats were available, so I sat in a window seat to Istanbul and a middle seat to Venice. I had to pay $160 for an extra bag to Venice. I asked if the airline allowed military members to check a third bag for free, I was laughed at, and told that US military members get charged more because we're not in the Turkish military. So as you can see, this trip started off horribly. My flight attendant seemed like she was having a horrible day because her attitude and customer service was bad."
Fordele: "We arrived safely and on time"
Ulemper: "The seat spacing on that flight was some of the tightest I have ever seen - worse than even most of the short-haul (Embraer) flights i have been on - barely manageable for 3.5 hours. Flight attendants were borderline rude and bossy, but they had to be, because the passengers were loud and unruly."

Fordele: "same as above, i love that i was able to check in online and choose my seat. I love the kit (toothbrush, socks) and the quality of the pouch - super love it! Pillow and blanket as well is still the same quality as before."
Fordele: "It's an international flight and they don't offer other food alternatives."
Ulemper: "Turkish airlines worth airlines ever. They change our flight from Houston to LA without giving us any choice because they are over booked with 30 passengers and on top gave us longer flight instead of sending us closer to our destination. They lost our bags and discover in LA that most of Turkish airlines passengers lost one of their bags too. we miss our flight from LA to Houston because of bad organizations and We had to sleep in LA one night so to take second day fight to Houston. So bad so frustrating never use Turkish airlines again."
