Ulemper: "SWISS always turns on the air conditioning too high on intercontinental flights. It is HOT inside the cabins. The entertainment system is very outdated, small screen and old and used hand set. Claiming to be a premium airline is unfortunately very overstated if you are unlucky to catch the old business class planes. Only few have changed to the new versions (777s) - Make sure to catch those."

Ulemper: "Just before landing in Zurich the flight attendant started to announce the gates for flight connections. I was on tight schedule trying to make my connection to Amsterdam. He first started to give my gate number, but then said there won't be flight to Amsterdam until the next day. I was very worried. When landing it was very difficult to find anyone working for Swiss to assist me. Then someone told me that my flight would be leaving in 3 minutes. I asked to be rushed through line, but everyone said not too worry because plane would wait for me. When I arrived at gate there was no one there. Then it took quite a while to find another Swiss employee to help me. There seemed to be a lot of confusion."

The entertainment system is outdated, screen has no contrast and can only be viewed at a straight angle, which is impossible as soon as the seat is reclined."

Fordele: "The best in flight service. I've taken Swiss air multiple times from Zurich to LA and I will never take another airline. The food is great, plenty of snacks and drinks. Great entertainment and the cabin crew treats you very well."
Fordele: "The flight experience was efficient and secure; that's good. Staff generally professional."
Ulemper: "The seats were too small, and the food wasn't good enough, especially the 'salad' which consisted of some moderately old browned lettuce with no tomatoes. Happened on my flight back as well. The one time when I thought the staff faltered was when I hit the paige attendant button, and noone came for 25 mins. I ended up walking to the back of the plane and asking for water myself. I also thought some of the materials used in the plane were cheap, like the foldout tables on the back of the seat, the pillow covers, and the headphones (one of which broke midway). The headphones don't cover the noise of the jet in flight very well."
Ulemper: "The handle of the pull-stick that slides into the suitcase was broken off with the pull-stick sticking out of the TUMI suitcase. Used a pen point to release it and get it back into the suitcase. No handle so it was impossible to drag the suitcase. The ground personnel representing Swiss Air at the Boston Baggage carousel was a novice, had never filled out a baggage claim form before. Told me they would phone me. I am a bit skeptical about this claim. Not sure if it was Swiss Air of the local ground personnel who damaged the suitcase."

Ulemper: "All of the couples were not assigned seats together. I've never seen anything so stupid. So before the plane took off, about four of us ladies from all over the back of the plane stood up and each jumbled a bunch of seats like a rubix cube so the men could then get up and go sit with their wives."
Fordele: "Food was amazing tasted and seasoned well. Not bland, really good salad and chicken."
Ulemper: "Delay. (liked kayak delay updates tho!) crew not very attending and it looked like they didnt care. In order to keep folks busy because of the delay. They gave out immigration and customs papers out, but refused to give pen. I literally didn't had one and answer from the crew was like that. " Excuse me do you have a pen by any chance?" . "NO! I dont! asked them" pointing out to other crew members, -this is the best part- the female stewardess had clearly visibly a pen in her front shirt pocket! Sitting around and trying to kill time and no pen still. While busy with food and other stuff, i fell asleep. Then after a while when going to the restroom i asked the male steward if he would have a pen please, he pointed out they dont have any pens. ( please note he marked on his check board, who is getting which meal on the first class)"

We were running late and a bit confused, both of the ladies helped us with the whole process, re-assured is that all will be well. They did so with a great genuine attitude. Thank you again Jamie and Dana :)))"

Ulemper: "Seats were comfortable, but much too crowded. The seating would have been very good for children but for adults it was much too crowded. My knees were up against the seat in front and my back is sore from having to spend most of the trip twisted to try to fit into the small space. Also, my seat was is row 16 and was called a “premium” seat and I was charged an extra $24 for it. I did not find it any different than all the seats around me. What was the extra charge for?"

Ulemper: "My one complaint is the bathroom layout of the A320. Two tiny closet bathrooms in the back for all of coach and a much larger one much larger one first class (which is like 5 rows with a mesh curtain for separation). The coach bathrooms are so small a normal person can barely get in and turn around to close the door. I question whether a larger person would be able to actually use them. I also saw the flight attendant actively turn away coach passengers trying to use the first class bathroom when it was open (not standing in the aisle or anything annoying like that). That's ridiculous to have 2 tiny bathrooms for all of coach and also to make people walk all the way to the back of the plane when you are seated much closer to the first class bathroom."
Fordele: "Terrible customer service both on the phone before the flight, but Especially from the gate agent. Wow she was really horrible."
Ulemper: "The flight attendants on board were good! They helped get everything straight. Easily could have been handled by the incompetent gate agent. Wow."

Ulemper: "Every stage took way too long. An hour to check in. and an hour to pass security. And the flight was obviously late."
Fordele: "I highly appreciated the kind care of all the staff in the plane; especially the great selection of food. Thank you very much! For a plane it was really 5 * service."
Ulemper: "the correspondence between the staff. On my way to New York, I was brought to the lounge to wait until my boarding will start but nobody picked me up as promised, so I had to walk the way. I needed a wheel chair as well on my way back, extra ordered it at the check in, they said it is noted in the system. But nobody was there to pick me up. When I finally found someone, I was brought to a place, being asked to sit down and wait where I still had to pass stairs to come to the passport controll. From there noone picked me up, so I had to go my way alone with pain in my leg. I don't want to argue, I managed it even with pain but I wonder what happens with people if they cannot walk anymore at all. My advice would be that you work on to improve this service. We extra booked business class but this service was not worth being called business class."

Ulemper: "We seemed to arrive late even though the boarding started early. Last call was displayed on the monitors 40 min before the flight took off which seemed excessive to me. And in spite of this we still didn’t arrive on time."

Ulemper: "As much as I love flying Turkish Airlines, they have this problem of boarding passengers on time as they now feel like "hot cake." They need to improve in this aspect."

Fordele: "Great food and service. Turkish Airlines has always had a good reputation as we flew with them for years and that hasn't changed. My only one peeve was that I was asked by the flight to sit next to an unaccompanied minor in case of energency. Being a mother. I thought, no problem. The child then became my responsibility on a ten hour flight. Boundaries were crossed when it graduated from assistance to responsibility byt little one could do mid air."

Ulemper: "After having booked an aisle seat near many family members I was traveling with, a Turkish airlines crew member came and asked me to move seats so as to accommodate a couple that wanted to sit together. I willingly gave up my seat to allow this. The crew didn't have another seat in mind, however, and I spent several minutes simply waiting in the aisle before they shuffled me to the front of the plane and made me sit in a much worse seat--a middle seat nowhere near any of my family members, nestled next to a large man who was clearly extending well into the seat they meant for me to take. It was clearly a terrible seat and I made the following 12 hour flight in significant discomfort. I was very dissatisfied with the crew's behavior. When a passenger books a comfortable seat near my family, and willingly gives it up to accommodate other passengers, they should not be treated so poorly"

Fordele: "The entertainment and accommodations were superb. I appreciate all the things they think of to make you comfortable. The seats were a bit hard but they reclined nicely."
Ulemper: "The first delay during my trip was due to an emergency but my layover was delayed again. I'm not sure if this is an outlier event or if this is a pattern."

Ulemper: "Old plane with questionable food, only few movies. Not impressed and considering not using TA again"
Fordele: "I got a special meal -- Asian Vegetarian -- and it was delicious. I have also had the regular Vegetarian on other Turkish Air flights and they have been great too. So congratulations on good food! I just have one suggestion about the food: Just because someone is vegetarian, it doesn't mean that they don't want dessert! I notice that where others have chocolate pudding, for example, I get fruit. I like fruit... but a piece of cake or some other sweet is good too!"
Ulemper: "The pull-down food trays are often angled down so that the food slips into your lap. I often have to hold the cup or glass so it doesn't slip off."
Fordele: "They shipped my dog from Tel Aviv perfectly. No problems."

Ulemper: "Foot rest in plane from IST to ATL is restricting leg movements and hits legs when not lowered. Can get rid of foot rest. Also seat leg room and widht were noticably small compaired to flights from IAD to IST."
Ulemper: "I had to scramble to buy full fare tickets on Swiss air to get to LAX so we could make our connections. I am hoping someone will contact me as this is not acceptable"

Ulemper: "Boarding area was crowded and confusing and no toilets, without having to exit security and return. Business class was in same lane as children and strollers, which was confusing."

Ulemper: "Not being made aware that for an international flight I would be only alloted one checked bag, I Brought both of my bags as I always do when I travel. I was aware I would incur a charge, but was surprised that not only would I be redirected from the long bag drop line back to ticket sales, but that they would charge me 10 € per kilo! So my bag ended up costing me double what my ticket cost me for a 4 hour flight. Never again."

Ulemper: "I had paid for an upgrade to sit in the front of the cabin with extra legroom (row 14A). When I boarded a man sat it my seat. He had not paid for the upgrade, but the crew let him stay in my seat. I had asked him to social distance but he continued to sit right behind me bo matter which seat I moved to. He argued with the crew until they gave up and let him stay. They did not check his boarding pass or ask him to move to his assigned seat I found a different seat away from him but I don’t see the point in paying for extra legroom when the crew let’s people who haven’t paid for it sit it those seats. I felt harassed by the man and was very uncomfortable the whole flight. I am considering my next step, I think I should at least receive a refund for the upgrade I paid for."

I just filed a claim and got rude service saying I should have filed the claim at the airport baggage area but there was not anybody there to do the claim then he agent upstairs said they just spoke to them and they are there and I should have done it there. This was so rude and there is no way to get back into customs area. If we paid 200 for bags I expect them to arrive on time. I’m asking for a refund of the baggage fees."

Ulemper: "The plane was very uncomfortable. The seats were small, you felt on top of the person next to you, and there was no leg room. I am a pretty small person- I can't image how uncomfortable all of the taller passengers must have been."

Ulemper: "Poor communication between delta, KLM and Air France meant that I couldn’t check in online and get a digital boarding pass. Furthermore I couldn’t use the check-in kiosks because my name was listed as Reidmr instead of Reid, which meant that my boarding pass did not match my passport. Overall this caused unnecessary delays that were compounded by the fact that I couldn’t use my TSA precheck. My main problem on the plane was that I had to struggle to get water served to me. It’s always so dry on planes and I would have liked to be able to get more than one tiny glass of water at a time. Also, would have loved a window at my window seat. Plus no WIFI!?"

Ulemper: "Information on KLM website and flight status said 50 minutes delay and was never updated with the true status. 3 hours before we took off. KLM blamed the fog at Manchester but to be honest most other flights seemed unaffected. Put up in an IBIS hotel and fed substandard food and shitty hotel room with an Aircon unit that clunks into action every 30 seconds keeping me awake. It's external so I can't switch it off. Being given a 10 Euro voucher for food at the airport when most food and a drink will cost you 12 to 15 euros."
Ulemper: "Per usual, KLM can't seem to figure out the order of boarding the plane. Should be business - priority - everyone else. Instead they do priority first, and that's usually two-thirds of the passengers. Strange choice of in-flight movies; no accounting for taste, I guess."

Ulemper: "KLM's new configuration for this type of plane made the seats even narrower than before. While leg room was reasonable, the 3 abreast seating meant a lot of discomfort, especially in the row right in front of the restroom."

Fordele: "On time, best connection for me, earning miles on my program. I booked based on time and cost, didn't even pay attention to what airline."
Ulemper: "No food, plane felt pretty old and not so clean. Smaller seats than the other flights I had with Lufthansa. Otherwise, it was fine. I had a pretty bad earache on that particular flight, so I liked it less than I might have otherwise. Something didn't feel right, pressure wrong or something."
Ulemper: "My flight was canceled and I received no communication from Austrian Airlines. There was no staff at ticketing counter. The contact number that O’Hare had was a disconnected Verizon number, which was the same number listed on their website. I had to call the international number where I was told I was rebooked on United with 2 layovers instead of one. I also lost my business class upgrade and was told there was nothing they could do about it."
Fordele: "-maintenance had to fix an issue that the team was not transparent about for 2.5 hours. 0at least boarding happened swiftly -the male crew member was GREAT but the female crew members two of them were very short, rude, and not there to bring comfort to customers -chicken meal was tasty, but made both me and my father sick. Muffin for breakfast was mediocre as well -tv was good, but touch screen sometimes doesn't work."
Fordele: "Everything went very well! Boarding was easy, the flight was smooth with little turbulence, we arrived on time, the crew was friendly and attentive, the food was good!"
Ulemper: "Everything was very smooth, except that the seats were not very comfortable!"

Ulemper: "A319 is inherently a badly arranged seating layout. Was in Row 30, no recline, and 3 full grown men for a 3 1/2 hour flight. I wonder if squeezing in the extra 3 or 6 seats is a payout when looking at people's likelihood to fly again?"
Ulemper: "I wanted to buy an checked-in luggage, but Austrian site did not worked properly, repeatedly gave an error message. I ended up buying it at the counter desk, in the airport, at a much higher price."
Fordele: "The flight was basic service to get me from one place to another. It was completely average and not quite the Austrian service I have previously known."

Ulemper: "A poor choice of video/film/documentaries. Limited and uninteresting."
Fordele: "It's just normal seats with the middle seat blocked for Business class. It's not a true Business class seat by any definition. There is no entertainment system for this flight. I would choose to fly economy for this leg, if given the option as there is no added value to the Business class."
Ulemper: "I was at the back of the plane with the constant cold air breeze, it was impossible to avoid!. I caught heavy cold and still recovering!"
Fordele: "Despite airport issues, we took off quickly and all went well. No complaints"

Fordele: "The crew was wonderful, as is always true with both Austrian Airlines and Lufthansa."
Ulemper: "The inflight entertainment included so many mediocre films, with hardly a classic among them. I suppose those are cheaper, but I would think both Austrian and Lufthansa (they seemed to be using almost identical entertainment systems with almost identical offerings) would benefit from limiting their movie options much more towards movies with, say, above a 70% Rotten Tomatoes rating or above average box office sales. Even if they had fewer films, say 40 instead of 56, the ones they have would be more popular."
Ulemper: "Very confusing boarding procedures. In Vienna they would check you at the gate to make sure you are in but keep you standing for a long time. I am not sure what happened but food was barely edible: breakfast eggs were like rubber and Lunch was served with a tiny sandwich. For a 10 hour flight it was not even sufficient"

Fordele: "I was pleased by the comfort of the seats, the staff on board and the flight itself. The flight actually did not seem at all like 9 hours. And it arrived exactly on time."
Ulemper: "The crew at the airport before boarding was a little impolite. As people were getting ready to board and waiting in the line, they were told to go back to customer service to register passports and get new boarding passes, without prior announcement. That could have been avoided if they informed us."
Ulemper: "As I was flying from London Heathrow back to Vienna, I had a carry-on that was allowed on my flight with Austrian from Vienna to London. My carry-on weighed 8 kg, like is required by the rules. While boarding my flight, the woman at the counter told me my bag had to be checked because there were too many carry-ons on the flight. I asked her that I keep my bag because I had medication in there, and she didn't listen to me at all. She just kept repeating that i have to check my bag, and then took my bag from me and gave it to the baggage crew there. I didn't want to make a huge scene because the flight is only 2 hours and I hoped i Could deal without my medication during that time, but I found it incredibly, incredibly rude and awful to not listen to a passenger."
Fordele: "Catering and service was superb. While linen. Course by course on China, no tray service. The food was exquisite. The wine was acceptable, mid range, with very generous pours in Riedel glassware and always the offer made of would I like anything more? The seperate coffee menu has to be experienced to be believed, basically, it's an authentic Vienna see cafe experience at 30,000 ft."
Ulemper: "Entertainment selection was fiddly and the offerings meagre compared to the vast libraries found on other carriers, but it was sufficient. More a quibble than a gripe from me. The noise cancelling headsets were good quality noise cancelling, and comfortable. I can't wear some other airlines headsets at all and use my ear pods with an airline adapter jack."
Fordele: "Boarding was efficient and quick"
Ulemper: "Seats were uncomfortable."
Fordele: "The flight was quick with a light meal once we were at cruising altitude. Friendly staff."
Ulemper: "I have no negative comments about this flight. Everything went well."

Ulemper: "The wheel on my luggage was broken (it was fine the whole trip). I had to throw out my bag after I got it home"
Fordele: "Sleep at the airport with kids from 7:pm to next day 10: am and be first time and lass time"

Fordele: "The service was fine, although I suggest that Austrian Airlines will consult with someone who joj is to train the staff to be more efficient."
