As good as it can be when you pay $2,500 for a flight ticket knowing that they are not really there to offer you a service, they are there to make their own money knowing that as a traveler you really have no options other than an airplane if you want to go across the ocean."
Ulemper: "The difference here is that in a 9 hour flight you want to keep hydrated. Crew seemed lazy...they would not bring water to travelers very often...and when I called a flight attendant with the button call and politely asked if I could have some water, she seemed pretty annoyed and told me I can just stand up and go take my water in the back where they store food. NOT A GOOD SERVICE FOR $2,500!!!! It’s outrageous!! Seats become smaller and smaller...and you keep asking about my experience...$2,500 to travel seating in a miniature seat with no leg room is a bit much...and I know no flight company cares about this...we have no choice...either take that or don’t travel, right?"

Ulemper: "1. The comfort in economy class was insulting and horrible. I am 6'3", 175lbs and was trapped in one uncompromisingly uncomfortable position for 8+ hours. Torture is a word that comes to mind. If I were a smaller sized person, 5'8" or less, perhaps this may be acceptable, but for anyone over 6'. forget it. You must pay loads extra to be given a respectable seat. I am hopeful that I don't develop a blood clot from this flight. This lack of room is a seriously dangerous situation for many people on long-distance flights. 2. The seat recline feature added further insult to the mix. Once airborne, the lady in the seat in front of me sent her seat into what was left of any personal space or legroom I had. The video screen on the setback in front of me was literally 6" from my face now. Several people who were also of taller size complained, one was so adamant about retaining his space that he fought verbally with the lady in front of him, and eventually a stewardess had to be called. My wife complained on my behalf, and was able to get the lady in front of me to reposition her seat, but eventually, I noticed it somehow found its way back to recline again. I know Lufthansa is not alone with this predicament, but something HAS TO BE DONE to fix this huge problem with air travel. 3. The food on the flight to Germany was way better than the return trip. The meal consisted of mushy carrots, greasy mashed potato-like side, and a piece of OK chicken smothered in 'Murican BBQ sauce. I was insulted. Lufthansa had been better than this in the past. Oh, and the dinner roll was so dry and crumbly, it could have been weeks old. The snack before landing was called pizza, but I wouldn't call it that It was a bunch of tasteless dough, a little bit of tomato like sauce and a smattering of cheese. I wish Lufthansa would stick to what they do best; German-influenced food. Be true to who you are. Most people I know love German food, and I always have looked forward to LH food selections. Not now."

I refuse to fly El Al because they don't have video and charge ports. Now I need to avoid flying with Lufthansa."

Ulemper: "I had paid for an upgrade to sit in the front of the cabin with extra legroom (row 14A). When I boarded a man sat it my seat. He had not paid for the upgrade, but the crew let him stay in my seat. I had asked him to social distance but he continued to sit right behind me bo matter which seat I moved to. He argued with the crew until they gave up and let him stay. They did not check his boarding pass or ask him to move to his assigned seat I found a different seat away from him but I don’t see the point in paying for extra legroom when the crew let’s people who haven’t paid for it sit it those seats. I felt harassed by the man and was very uncomfortable the whole flight. I am considering my next step, I think I should at least receive a refund for the upgrade I paid for."
Ulemper: "The only complaint I had was that it was very warm on the flight (and I usually get cold on flights), and in the seats we had there weren't fans above the seats. A few rows up they had fans, so apparently you have to pay extra for air... This wouldn't be a big deal on a short domestic flight, but for an international flight it was a long time to be uncomfortable!"

I felt like I was being tortured and didn’t sleep at all and so slept when getting into Amsterdam rather than being able to explore the city. I was out $200 for the Airbnb (could’ve stayed in the airport cheaper) and $200 for a dinner cruise I slept through. NEVER AGAIN"

On my short flight from Basel to Amsterdam, a young French speaking girl was concerned about how to manage getting to her next gate. The flight attendants talked to her and arranged for someone to take her there. On my longer flight from Amsterdam to New York City, there was a customer who was in distress about missing a previous flight and not making it to her connecting flight in New York. One of the flight attendants reassured her until she stopped crying and calmed down. That same flight attendant was always so positive and cheerful in all she did. The rest of the crew was top notch. This was my best experience flying in such a long time. Well done, KLM crews of flights 1984 and 0645 on July 10!"

Ulemper: "My check in luggage was in very bad condition when I receive it. My clothes were all wet and they got bab by each other’s colour. Many clothes are not in a condition to wear now. Those were expensive and I had a big loss because of that."

Ulemper: "Again, no aisle seat for SkyTeam Gold member. Also, my baggage was lost. First bag arrived a day late, second after I had left Billund and it was six days before the bag with my clothes reached me. I was told I will have 100 euro credit for clothing, but in the winter and for 6 days, this was not even close to the amount I needed for clothing and necessities, to have my time here."
Fordele: "Excellent experience with the cabin crew."
Ulemper: "Seats on the 777 were too narrow. This 777 had a 3-4-3 seating arraignment, it would have been better with a 3-3-3, similar to a 787 configuration. With the current layout, even with an aisle seat, I was sitting in the aisle. And I am not a large person! The flight was full, so use the 787 and two daily non-stops. For a twelve hour flight, the food was only Okay, could have been better and with a better selection. Meal timing was poor."
Ulemper: "Flight way delayed 3 hours. Staff gave no information and wouldn't help rebook us onto other flights. They gave us food vouchers 2 minutes before we finally boarded, so we couldn't use them. The food on the plane had spoiled so we were all starving on the flight, and we all missed our connections. Horrible experience and wouldn't fly with KLM again."
Fordele: "Of the multiple international airlines I recently flew with, I would have to say KLM was by far the best. Relaxing atmosphere, comfortable seating, great in-flight entertainment, although I have the go-go in-flight data/entertainment plan with t-mobile (highly recommended), the flight included a decent selection of movies, television programs, etc. The food far exceeded typical "airline quality," even for an international flight - and included a fabulous little snack box with locally sourced gourmet and specialty items such as chocolate from Belgium, fine cheeses from France, and crackers from England. Drinks = gratis, and crew was exceptionally attentive and went out of their way to make flight as pleasant as possible."

Ulemper: "KLM's new configuration for this type of plane made the seats even narrower than before. While leg room was reasonable, the 3 abreast seating meant a lot of discomfort, especially in the row right in front of the restroom."
Fordele: "It was a short flight so it was O.K."
Ulemper: "Boarding was odd. Go to airport early and counters were not open, did on line check in so was able to avoid the self check in at airport. Also self check in luggage seems confusing with no ground crew to help. It didn't affect me but lots of confused passenger."

Ulemper: "No power to charge phones, laptops, etc and no WiFi available. For such a long trip (10 hours) below industry standard."

Ulemper: "I wish they had enough blankets for all passengers, especially since it gets chilly/breezy during the flight, especially overnight flights when people are sleepy. A pillow would have been very useful too, as the seats are too curved."

Ulemper: "The transfer at Moscow airport is too slow. A huge jumbo jet of over 200 passengers gets re-checked only by two teams of security check assistants. Elderly and families are eager to pass the check-point as quickly as possible. And those guys in the airport are just not seeing the problem."

Ulemper: "Unless I was doing something wrong, long-haul economy seats barely recline. Combine that with quite limited legroom, and an overnight flight can turn into a questionable experience."

Fordele: "Once we got going, the flight crew made up the time."
Ulemper: "Boarding was a mess at the gate. Elite plus status but very difficult to figure out the line situation for many. There was a flight delay and lack of communication as to the time of boarding - so people weren't just milling about, but having a problem as the GA's were trying to create the appropriate lanes for boarding. And felt like I was roasting even with a window seat!"

Ulemper: "I had problem with entertainment system because I could see any images on the screen and they couldn't fix it. For 12 hours flight it was not fun."
Ulemper: "I had a very bad experience with my trip. I was not allowed to get on the plane from miami to moscow because i did not have a russian visa, even though i had a visa for Belarus, my final destination. How would i know that the flight from russia to minsk is a domestic flight? There is no information online about needing a russian visa when being a transit passenger in Moscow. I was not offered any refund for my ticket and the cheapest option was to pay an extra 600$ and fly in 2 days to NY JFK and from there to fly to Moscow-Vilnius. My flight from Miami to JFK was very delayed with American Airlines and i missed my connection to Moscow. I had to pay another 100$ and fly the next day to Moscow. That fight was again delayed and AGAIN i missed my connection to Vilnius. I got to the gate 20min before the take off time but i was not allowed to get on the plane.I had to fly later that night. The whole trip, which was supposed to take 14 hours ended up being 4 days and almost double what I originally payed, not to mention the stress and waste of time. If i knew how the trip would pan out I would never have taken this route."
Fordele: "Great pilots. The flight is smooth which makes me feel safe (because I’m always nervous when I fly). They are also punctual. This is my third time flying with them and the attention to the passengers is getting much better. The flight attendants are nice and helpful."
Ulemper: "What I didn’t like was that they run out of breakfast omelette. The chairs in front of me got eggs and the rest of us on the back got two small plain pancakes with a super sweet can fruits which were not that good. I really was waiting for that omelette. I got so hungry and angry to smell those eggs and sausages and being punished with those ugly pancakes."

Fordele: "It was comfortable and easy. The airport is small and you have to take a bus to the airplane itself. There were virtually no hassles, and the staff was friendly."
Ulemper: "If you do not know any Russian, it will be difficult. The staff on this flight spoke very little English. Think about it, I was in Siberia. That would be like expecting the flight attendant to speak Russian in Oklahoma. Try learning Russian words for drinks and snacks, that would be a good starting point."

Ulemper: "they have just canceled my flight with out any explanation and put me in another very later. Not even a voucher for a dinner since I would stay from 17:00 till 1:40 waiting at the airport. I was very upset about that."
Ulemper: "The flight from tlv to ny (1 stop in moskow), included 3 meals. 1. Identical. 2. Frozen - non eatable. 3. all - meat. no dairy breakfast."
Ulemper: "Boarding was a disaster as my companion was selected for random search which held us up as there was no urgency to process us. Then there was no sign for where we should go since upper deck on 747 so we went in "economy" line as indicated on ticket and then was sent to correct line when we got to the front, wasting more time. The seatrs were the most uncomfortable I have ever beeon on for a long flight. I also paid extra to be in the exit row, to have people constantly congregating in front of us."
Fordele: "There is a nothing to mention that was memorable or comfortable."
Ulemper: "I asked for an upgrade as we are on our honeymoon. The ground staff only wanted to get us on the plane and not try in anyway to recognize us. Our seats were very poor quality, you should immediately replace them! I would have rather stood than sit on the flight. The in flight entertainment is so poor. Absolutely disappointing especially with the head sets not working because of poor ports of connection. The food was absolutely tragic. You should fire your catering company. I expect more from your airline and I was disappointed all the way through. I hope you can provide my wife and I better service and an upgrade when we fly back to Washington DC on Flight AF 0054 from CDG to IAD. I work in the luxury hotel sector, and even the door men and room attendants have more autonomy to wow our guests. Flying AF does not want me to spend any more money with your airline in the future."

Ulemper: "I was catching a flight in Paris to Aberdeen after arriving from Malaga. The time between flights was not enough 55 mins as the gate closed 20 mins before departure and it takes at least 15 minutes from arrival to taxi to the terminal and then get off the plane. I had to change from terminal F to E which was well sign posted but I only made it with 4 minutes to spare"

The world is at the customer's fingertips, let their first choice be Delta. When their are bad days, customers will understand"

Ulemper: "Some of the shows and movies were a bit 'trashy'. Long flight. I was in the middle seat next to an inattentive octanegarian who was nice but kept calling the flight crew to fix her mess up of the video system. No air controls on this plane - so it was overly warm. 10 hours of overly warm makes for a stinky passenger. Oof."

Ulemper: "I will not use o recommend to anyone to buy a ticket with the agency, at the airport in China we were treated like criminals because as they said we were not register in the system as passengers it was really a nightmare"
Fordele: "We flew with our special needs child without requesting any particular accommodations except for gluten free meals. The gate staff and flight crew identified him and allowed us special bordering that facilitated the process. That act of kindness is a rare experience on our part. Thank you Air France staff!"
Fordele: "Food has improved a lot on business class. Meals are more creative."
Ulemper: "Water bottles not given out unless ou ask for it. Crew needs to better trained with how to handle business class..."

Ulemper: "The flight was a chartered flight . Air France informed us that due to cabin crew shortage they couldn't operate an air france flight and hence they hired Air Belgium. Whilst the crew were nice , the actual plane was old and creaky. It wasn't up to the standards expected of Air France. They could have done better in getting a plane up to standard. A lot of the passengers were disappointed ."

Ulemper: "The airlines didn’t even notify the passengers with the connecting flight. As the arrival was little late, all the passengers have missed their connection flights in Toronto and there was no notification or communication made on the new flight. When I went to the Air France counter in the airport, the staff has gone for the day and trying to get a hold of telephone rep took 2-3 hours and I by the time I found about my new connection, I was already late. Somehow I managed to get to the Terminal 1 and when I spoke to the lady (indian) at the Check-In counter, she has refused me to Check-In because i slipped the line up. The people in the lineup didn’t have any objection and they let me go first for Check-In as I’m already late to my flight. I wante to say something to her, but I’ve controlled my frustration. Luckily the other person in the Check-In counter offered to help me Check-In. Here is my word to the Indian lady staff “F**k You B***h” - learn some people skills."

Ulemper: "The food was really poor. The chicken was as dry as it can be. The food taste was poor. I flow 3 weeks ago with KLM and the food was pretty good for flight food. In a French company I expect much more. The entertainment system on the airbus a380 was like an enchant IT system from the past. Very poor reaction time. Very messy and not people oriented at all. Especially after KLM's And Delta experience."
