Fordele: "I like that there are multiple bathrooms onboard."
Ulemper: "The rows are so narrow between seats that your roll on suitcase will not fit. You have no elbow room in your seat. People who live in England are very rude and would not let those of us seated in front of them to deplane. Too bad there isn’t someway to make people wait their turn."

Fordele: "Virgin Atlantic is the best airline I’ve ever flown on internationally. The service is wonderful, from check in to inflight service. Everything went as planned. The food and drinks on board are free and they are an abundance of snacks, much more than we dreamed. The flight attendants are excellent"

Fordele: "The business class seats are the best we’ve had. Plenty of room, nicely laid out, good organization design. The blankets were fluffy and very comfortable. Crew was super attentive and friendly. For such a long flight, it was very pleasant, will highly recommend."

Ulemper: "Poor communication about the reasons for our 4 hour delay. Also, we purchased Economy X, which should have given us priority boarding, but we were told we had to stand in the general admission queue."

Ulemper: "Nobody was sat in the overwing emergency exit row seats for the whole flight (so nobody had been briefed on how to use them) and the tray tables for these seats were down during the flight effectively blocking the emergency exit in the event of an emergency. Potentially very dangerous"

Ulemper: "- EVERY damn movie is prefaced by 4 minutes of ads. - The touchscreens (at least in economy) are slow resistive screens that are horrible for fine control gestures (like slightly changing the volume or position)"

Fordele: "Virgin Atlantic offers good service at a reasonable price to/from the US to London. Good food service and unbelieveable number of movies and entertainment to choose from."
Ulemper: "The seating and leg room in economy classic were inadequate. We felt way too confined in our seats and the leg room was a joke. I am only 6' tall and this was unacceptable. We will try to upgrade for the return trip."

Fordele: "The ground staff was on top of it and the boarding process was smooth, but the cabin crew was brilliant. I’ve never had such pleasant service on a western airline. Well done. Entertainment system is top-notch, and the food was acceptable."
Ulemper: "The booking process and paying for luggage is disappointing. Plus, I paid a $90 upgrade and just moved up two rows in the same section. Sneaky."

Fordele: "Nothing. The whole experience was horrible."
Ulemper: "I didn't make it to Siem Reap because the first leg of the trip from IAD to London was cancelled by Virgin Atlantic after it was fully boarded. The excuse was that a flight attendant had food poisoning and was unable to fly and so the entire flight was cancelled. The Virgin team seemed unconcerned and showed NO sense of urgency to try and get people rebooked. Their solution was to rebook everyone on an evening flight the next day. If a passenger was only going to London, that was probably fine. But for people with connecting flights -- or like me with multiple connecting flights -- that wasn't acceptable."

Fordele: "I felt that they were very thoughtful about the fact that it was a long flight. We got two small meals, which was perfect, and even a little gift bag with a sleep mask and toothbrush and such in it. These were just a couple of the many nice touches included in the flight."
Ulemper: "Very small quibble: the screen resolution, or maybe the contrast, of the personal video players was not so great. This was fine in most cases, but it meant I could not watch videos that had subtitles. Not a big deal but possibly worth fixing. Thanks"

Fordele: "I wish I knew the name of the crew on this flight so that credit is given where it's due. A female steward was incredibly kind to me. She allowed me space to cry in the back of the aircraft, and also gave me her personal tissues. Her care is the only reason I'd give this flight an 'okay.'"
Ulemper: "Unlike the incredibly kind woman, another woman on the crew was incredibly rude to me and to other passengers on the plane. She was very obviously annoyed with nearly everything on that flight. The restrooms were beyond disgusting. I have never flown on a flight with a restroom that awful; it smelled horrible and was filthy. It was reminiscent of a portable outhouse, no exaggeration. The pillow on my seat had makeup on it."

Ulemper: "The ticket agent was anal about 1-2 kgs for our checked luggage and even weighed our carry on luggage...which no agent had done on our entire trip from atlanta to melb. Seemed pointless and a hassle for 1-2 kgs."

Fordele: "Virgin has the nicest staff, good food, and excellent movie options. I had a great time on my flight!"

Ulemper: "Entertainment system was good, and I felt that you appeared to have more leg room in economy than other airlines."

Ulemper: "Watch out for checked baggage fees on short haul international flights. If you buy their saver fare, VA charges you $130 to check a bag at the check-in counter. Highway robbery in my opinion! Make sure you add a bag beforehand. Corporate greed at its worst."

Ulemper: "It wasn't clear that we would need to pay to check our luggage, especially since every international flight I have ever been on allows you a checked bag at no cost. When we got to the airport it cost us $130 each to check our bag which we were told it would have been around $50 if we had done it online ahead of time (if we knew). $130 per bag is excessive for checked luggage and we were extremely frustrated and disappointed. I like to fly Virgin when I can due to comfort but that experience left much to be desired."

Fordele: "Not much not to like about this experience except for cramped seating in coach."

Ulemper: "Still very cramped. Cannot lower tray if you have anything in pocket (like an iPad or magazine) Should board rear section first."

Fordele: "I loved wine and whiskey. Blanket and blindfolds, headphones helped me sleep. Care packet with toothbrush came in handy."
Ulemper: "The Sears were tight and thin. I felt pushes from behind. I could not recline the seat enough. I didn't get a window seat, which is my favorite."

Ulemper: "After checking in my wife and I were in separate seats. I was then unable to change my seat after check in. After calling the helpline I was informed that it is impossible to change the seat after checking in until I am at the airport. No other airline has such an obscure, in efficient rule. Virgin takes pride in being a step above their competition - I didn't see it. I have flown international on Delta, American Airlines, British Airlines, United, and others and any difference in the experience was negligible."

Fordele: "I've been flying with Virgin Atlantic from the states to London on multiple occasions. It's an excellent airline with respectful and attentive cabin crew, food is delicious with variety of choices, comfort is quite good, In addition, I admire the touching gesture of Virgin Atlantic with their support for children around the world. Top class!"

Ulemper: "My ticket was cancelled at the time I was standing in front of the airline counter to check my bag. I was so furious. The airline did not help me at ALL. In fact, they offer me to buy a brand new ticket at a new price!!!!!! I ended up re-bought the ticket from United airline as my husband has United card (chase) and we ended up paying over 1900 for the ticket that should have been about $911. The priceline number is not helping. I have trip insurance but no. nothing worked. I will never fly Virgin Atlantic again."

Ulemper: "45 minute delay on runway after landing was very very frustrating."

Fordele: "Great food and movie offerings. On time and courteous staff."
Ulemper: "Cramped chairs- less leg room than Delta. Also, annoying that buying through Kayak left us without a code to be able to check in online, meaning we were left to be assigned seats at the airport."

Fordele: "Extremely uncomfortable seats in the Economy section and a very confusing remote control to maneuver the entertainment screen. The crew was excellent so it's not their fault. The food was passable but those white bread rolls got to go. My luggage didn't arrive so let's hope they bring it today."

Ulemper: "Boarding was a debacle. Flight was oversold. Passenger had trouble boarding when their group was called."

Ulemper: "I had to walk from one end of Minneapolis airport to the other end all within 35 mins to catch a connecting flight, tram was not in service. Not fun!!!"

Ulemper: "Delays were unfortunate, but the gate area at LaGuardia was way too crammed, hardly any seats, and poorly organized"

Ulemper: "Did not like being bumped to a flight with a five hour layover in SLC. Travel day was already very long. We booked the flight originally based on the shorter layover of an hour and a half. Seemed very inconsiderate."

Fordele: "There were many delays and cancellations due to bad thunderstorms at LGA. Despite a few hours delayed (because the airport was closed due to the storm), the flight was still schedule to leave! I was very happy about that. They did issue waivers for those who could not make the later time. Once delta got the ok to fly.. The flight left the gate very fast and we arrived and exited the plane super fast too. The process was so efficient and quick, I did not feel the waiting period. The flight attendance were so happy and positive, they made he flight very enjoyable. Great job delta!"

Ulemper: "Seating was uncomfortable, cabin was cold and no blankets available, food was just ok, plane had lots of empty seats yet everyone was squeezed into 3 in a row making it uncomfortable, no updates from captain or crew as to where we were in the flight....."

Ulemper: "The baggage drop attendant was very unhelpful when I asked if she could help me sort out an issue (when I checked in online for the second leg of my trip, i paid for my bag then but they wanted me to pay again for my first flight) and just dismissed me and said she couldn't help, making me pay again for my bag. First time I've ever had an unpleasant experience with Delta."

Fordele: "Left on time all went well in Atlanta"
Ulemper: "Impossible to figure out what to do in Toronto at Canadian Customs. You move from secure to unsecure then back to secure. It’s a mess and nobody tells you what to do or where to go. Picture process took 4 times. Nobody tells you that you have to transfer your own bags from Delta to West Jet. I even asked in a Toronto and they said no and nobody in Atlanta told me to collect my bags. So bags never made it until the next AM. The West Jet rep was very good and located the bags and they were delivered as promised. You should provide 3 page detailed instructions on how to handle Toronto. I am a seasoned traveler by the way. I’ve never seen anything worse. I could go on and on."

Ulemper: "was a difficult transition from delta to west jet in Toronto and we almost missed the flight"

Fordele: "i liked very much the cheese and the coffee was also good."

Fordele: "Pleased we upgraded to comfort plus."
Ulemper: "It was an older 747 which didn’t have power to the Sears. The video system was also old with poor quality."

Ulemper: "Could not get the boarding pass to print at the self serve kiosk. Had to wait in line for assistance."

Fordele: "Delta and Westjet staff are of great help to me."
Ulemper: "Not applicable"

Fordele: "The staff is very friendly. Most pleasant airline I've flown with."

Fordele: "The flight attendant named Steven went so far beyond the call. He was attentive, he fixed our video system when no one else could and when he learned we were celebrating an anniversary he brought us a present. He was awesome!"

Fordele: "Refurbished plane. Lighting was good"

Fordele: "Overall the actual flight was good..landing was kind of hard but I'm alive so not stressing that"
Ulemper: "..but the multiple delays are ridiculous, I would not fly Delta if I had a feasible choice."

Fordele: "2 hour delay.. had requested when I originally booked the flight an isle seat. I did not get it. The flight was long and uncomfortable."

Fordele: "Overall, the flight was very smooth and I thought the crew did a great job."
Ulemper: "I know this is a federal regulation, but I have to mention it as it is part of the boarding process. For the life of me, I can't understand why it is necessary to go through security again after re-entering the country. Understandable that I have to go through customs, but going through security again is ridiculous."

Ulemper: "Had the seat at the very back, which made engine sounds loud for most of the trip"

Fordele: "I got a seat in the exit row with lots of leg room. The entertainment that I didn't use offered a great selection with very recent movies, etc."
Ulemper: "I didn't like that I had to take a bus to my terminal. I didn't like the fact that my gate was changed more than five times. I didn't like that my flight time was changed more than 15 times with no reason why until boarding time. I didn't like the fact that I did not get a seat assignment until boarding the plane. I didn't like the fact that they couldn't manage to scramble another plane and crew, but instead forced us to wait over four hours for one that was stuck somewhere else in the country."

Ulemper: "Vi skulle fra Aalborg til Austin TX. Først blev vores fly fra Amsterdam til Atlanta cancelled. Vi blev ombooket via Detroit. Men så var flyet til Detroit forsinket, og køen i immigration var så lang at det ikke kunne lade sig gøre at nå flyet til Austin. Nu sidder vi så og venter på det næste fly til Austin, og er meget trætte. 2 ombookninger på samme rejse - det har jeg dog alligevel aldrig oplevet før!!!"

Ulemper: "Not a fan of having "final boarding call" announced to run to the gate, only to sit on the plane at the gate for 30 min because of a scheduled delay at my destination. I know the flight wasn't very full, but that cost me an opportunity to eat dinner. I had to cancel a fast food order because I thought I'd miss my flight!"

Fordele: "We arrived in Atlanta"
Ulemper: "I think Delta must have added more rows of seats, because legroom is virtually non-existent."

Fordele: "Airtravel is not exactly something to 'LIKE' but it was good."
Ulemper: "Attendant was a bit forgetful, didn't get my or my daughters drinks straight. She took forever to take the order too and was using a phone or something to type the order in and STILL got it wrong!"

Fordele: "Flight itself was mostly fine. Adequate overhead space. Boarding process ok."
Ulemper: "Adequate legroom but seat space so tight could not even reach things dropped on the floor. Seats are HARD! Some USB sockets didn't work. Entertainment system is old and clunky, often didn't respond to touches. Crew was grudgingly OK, didn't seem to want to be there to help. Food was a disaster. Special meals were all wrong. Food brought was mostly terrible."

Fordele: "That a delta plane actually had seat back video screens- First delta flight ever that I've been on that did. But every ones screen froze up just over an hour into the flight."
Ulemper: "Even though the Atlanta to Toronto arrived 'early' I had barely 20 minutes to get to the other plane- I would not have made it with out the amazing staff of weather and the Toronto airport. I use a wheelchair and even zipping through as fast as I could I was 15 minutes late arriving at the gate. I booked this flight thinking I had at least and hour and a bit between flights. Thankfully others on my flight were also late so the Ottawa bound plane did not leave on time"

Fordele: "When you are delayed, there is not much to commend."
Ulemper: "Delayed. That pretty well says it all."

Fordele: "The crew was good and the flight was smooth."
Ulemper: "Somehow we were double booked and double billed. We got to the airport 3 hours early and checked our bags. All 3 were lost and searched. Everything was put back precariously and there was shampoo and lotion everywhere."

Fordele: "i love the view from the window seats and that I was able to relax and the snacks."

Ulemper: "check in takes 30 minutes since my visa was in old passport"

Fordele: "the crew were amazing. The food was good. 20 minutes late in a snowstorm, amazing. Seats were comfortable. I will definitely fly Lufthansa again."

Ulemper: "Lufthansa burde presse lufthavnen i Frankfurt til at ge bemanding imsilkerhedskonteollen. Kl 6.10 i morges tog det 35 min i business køen og mindst 50 mini economy køen"

Ulemper: "Flyet var forsinket så jeg missede forbindelsen til CPH i Frankfurt. Det kan ske. Blev omboket til tidligt fly næste morgen. Sådan måtte det jo så være. Men at skulle stå i kø som business pasager i 55 min for at få hotelvoucher og nyt boardingpass var for meget. Economy havde endnu længere kø. Skikkerhedstjek næste morgen i Frankfurt tog 35 min for business og op mod 1t for economy!"

Ulemper: "Agent changed our flight to Munich and sent as a email with with confirmation on July 10. involuntary. On July 20. I checked Lufthansa app and found that only flight that was shown was flight Toronto-Thunder Bay. After 3 hours of phoning I found that flight from Munich to Toronto wasn’t available for date that was given us in email. Only option was day earlier or later. Left us to take day earlier and we could not changed last flight( Toronto- Thunder Bay). We had to come on Aug 22. and stay in Toronto for 27 hours and than take a flight to Thunder Bay on Aug 23. We lost a day of our vacation, had to stay at hotel. Not good experience at all. We still don’t know whom to complain about that."

Ulemper: "reached in time for onward connection but the gate had closed 30 mins before and had to stay overnight in munich Lufthansa did poor job of communicating rebook on same day thr Delhi.By the time we got to see agent in service desk that connection thr Delhi was also not an option.veryfew counters muni"

Ulemper: "A delay due to an electrical storm prevented us from taking off for over an hour which we had to wait to end on the plane."

Fordele: "Great service."
Ulemper: "New planes have 9 sits in the rove (economy class) which affects the passengers comfort."

Fordele: "Entertainment and food were geat and a great distraction from the seating arrangement and the horrible leg area."
Ulemper: "Not having a chair leg in the middle of the leg area. being able to sit next to my partner instead of having us split up. If we bought two tickets at the same time we should have been able to sit together. Lastly the huge delay that caused us to miss are final flight."

Ulemper: "Our plane sat on turnac in Toronto waiting for a parking gate for 30minutes making us miss our connecting flight. Finally arrived but missed our train to Florence had to stay Saturday night in Rome while our villa in Lucca sat empty which was paid for"

Ulemper: "No seat assigned at check-in or even as they begin boarding. I thought I was flying Lufthansa. Air Canada gate agents were condescending. Very disappointed."

Fordele: "The plane was extra comfortable . The Lufthanza is it exceptional airline very nice people better than most American Airlines"

Ulemper: "Never made it"

Fordele: "The crew was organized and very polite. Even if it was a bit of delay the plane made it in time and luggage was readily available"
Ulemper: "One thing that everyone was complaining about was the temperature . It was very cold and nobody anted to do anything about it. Another thing that I found unwise was the entertainment. It was a large selection of movies with very explicit sexual content. I didn't travel with kids but I was thinking what I would've done if my kids were seated next to a person like I did who was watching this kind of movies.."

Fordele: "I enjoy that their planes have more space, the food is delicious, and their caring and kind attitudes all through the experience!"

Ulemper: "The entertainment center at my seat was not working properly and kept stopping and would have to be reset."

Ulemper: "One of the restrooms was out of service for most of the flight. The other ran out of toilet paper."

Fordele: "The food was great and the crew was respectful and helpful."
Ulemper: "I couldn't get my tablet to work with the headphones. In order to watch and hear anything, I had to hold my headphones with a certain pressure and frequently spin the headphones in order to hear anything."

Fordele: "I have never flown with Lufthansa, but now, I will fly with them any chance I get. The crew were amazing. Friendly and attentive. For airplane food, it was very good and tasty. Received headphones, a pillow and a blanket for the flight. Legroom was good, but probably cramped for people over 6'0" tall. 24 hour online check-in was smooth an trouble free. I like having the boarding pass on my phone. No paper to carry around."

Ulemper: "The food was barely edible. I'm glad to have brought a snack in my bag."

Fordele: "The on board crew worked hard to make up for the 2 hour delay. I was happy to be fed in the right hour flight, but the food was not very good. I did not download the app for inflight entertainment so I can't rate it."
Ulemper: "The plane departure was delayed and the passengers were left wondering about the flight. There was no announcement to explain until an hour after the departure time. All monitors showed original departure."

Fordele: "Very pleasant experience: comfortable airplane and helpful crew, timely departure/arrival, continuing support with information about baggage after arrival."

Fordele: "I flew economy. Good plane, ok food, frequent meals, good coffee, free beers and wine, best flight crew I've ever had."
Ulemper: "economy: The chairs were ok but I've had better ones."

Ulemper: "This Lufthansa flight was flown through Air Canada, so this review doesn't reflect on other hosts. However the flight was the worst service I've ever had on an airline in every category."

Ulemper: "It took too long to drop by luggage. Some of the crew wasn't friendly."

Fordele: "The crew was professional and cordial. For some reason the entire AV system needed to be rebooted which required at least 15 minutes."
Ulemper: "There was supposed to be a meal and a snack on this flight. There was a good meal but the "snack" was a pack of pretzels. I think Lufthansa's partner AC could do a little better. I think the drinks cart should precede the food cart. I did not receive my drink until 3/4 of the way through my meal."

Fordele: "Friendly crew"

Fordele: "Staff were fantastic!"
Ulemper: "No entertainment system for a 10 hour flight! Found out once we were in the boarding area via an announcement to download the Air Canada app to use their wifi entertainment. Or rent an iPad. Not cool! The elderly lady beside us didn't even own a phone. That's a long flight! And all my records indicated Lufthansa (run by AC) flight. So strange. No wonder people are not AC fans. Understandable to say the least."

Ulemper: "Not enough leg room I am 6ft 3 tall"

Ulemper: "Gate distances were too far away and passport control in Munich is not organized"

Fordele: "The price was good and connections were well-timed. Lufthansa had great food and service. A glass of pear brandy after dinner? Yes, please! I've seen a few other negative reviews for Lufthansa, but I've always had great experiences with them. The crew and food are top-notch."
Ulemper: "We had two legs on Lufthansa and the third was Air Canada. Lufthansa was great; great service, great food. But on Air Canada there was no food on a 5-hr international flight, the video screen didn't work well, and the flight attendant was having a rough day. And we took off at least 30 minutes late due to a couple of technical issues."

Fordele: "The flight attendants were very polite and helpful. The seats had those "wings" on either side of the head rest to help keep your head from bobbing back and forth. There were a few good movies to watch that were current, but a lot of old movies that we had zero interest in."
Ulemper: "The flight was considered a Lufthansa flight and had a Lufthansa flight number, but was operated by Air Canada. We could not check in online ahead of time for some reason. When we got to the airport, we tried to check in at the Lufthansa kiosk and check in line, but they told us we had to go to the Air Canada area. The ticketing/check in process was very confusing. As for the food, the chicken "wrap" was not a wrap, and was a weird Hot-Pocket type meal. After each meal, we ended up having to hold our garbage for quite some time which made manuvering in and out of seats a little tricky. I wish the seat cushion had a little more cushion since we were sitting for so long. Also at some point the overhead lights came on and stayed on, which was annoying if you were trying to nap."

Ulemper: "Nothing!"

Fordele: "That there was a flight from Toronto to Minneapolis."
Ulemper: "It was really cramped and small. The gate was far away from everything and cold."

Ulemper: "The return leg has been nothing but a disaster, in every way possible, specifically my time and financially. At no point in the booking process, when I paid over $800 for the trip, was I told that I needed a specific travel visa (Canadian ETA) to fly back into Toronto for my return flight. Subsequently when I checked in for my flight yesterday morning in Manchester, England, I did not have the required travel documents and had to be rerouted onto a flight into the U.S. at a cost to me of $350. The rerouted flight got me to Washington Dulles airport, where I then had to purchase a second flight to get me home to Cleveland, Ohio, at an additional/extra cost of $450. MY CAR IS PARKED AT TORONTO PEARSON INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT!!! I am having to now rent a car and drive there tomorrow (Friday) to collect my car, at another additional cost of $100 plus a 10-hour round trip. Due to the lack of information and communication on your companies behalf, I am down close to a $1,000 and will lose 2-days in work as of the additional days I am having to travel back to Toronto to collect my vehicle. I would appreciate contact from your organization to find the avenue I need to take for compensation of my time and finances. Regards"

Ulemper: "This airline has little respect for its customers. In the economy/coach cabin, they squeeze the seat distances to such an extent that, when the person in front of you leans their chair back, you cannot get out of your seat at an upright angle. You have to significantly bend your body. To not loose your balance, you have to grab on to the seat in front of you and that disturbs the other passenger. If they're sleeping, they can be woken up by that. Lufthansa does not care much for its passengers. Nor do many other companies, for that matter, but I think Lufthansa is taking things further than most airlines. It is a disgrace. Their brand is not what it once was."

Ulemper: "The flight was delayed for 2.5 hours, for a reason they never made clear after they let the passengers wait in line for 45 minutes to board. Once aboard, the Lufthansa planes were much much less comfortable than the Air Canada plane I took to Frankfurt. There is very little space and the seats are crammed together. The food they served was very bad, especially again in comparison with Air Canada. Once we arrived in Toronto, they made us wait nearly an hour before exiting the aircraft. It would seem that the Toronto airport would have to know we were coming and should have prepared accordingly, but apparently not. We sat, several passengers missed their connecting flights and were angry. I nearly missed my flight, having to run and race through customs (who are in no hurry)."

Ulemper: "Staff in Los Angeles, service non existent in Greece no entertainment for 11 hours no tablets available"

Ulemper: "2 1/2 hour wait while boarded then missed flights in toronto. Toronto airport a mess! Unclear directions and procedues."

Fordele: "The flight attendance were nice."
Ulemper: "One of worst EU to US flights ever. Food was Ick, entertainment?? (even if you paid for the premium the choices were bad)."

Ulemper: "My tv did not work all way from M to T,complain 3 times, was promised to reset tv. Never get it."
