It offers so much inside that youeasily spend a weekend not leaving the hotel. There is a huge difference in the types of rooms available. the smallest rooms are really too small but are still well appointed. There was a significant amount of building work with associated noise.
Luxury environment, great music selection, very nice breakfast, great location
fantastic hotel, very helpful and friendly staff, upgraded us to a junior suite which was very spacious, would not hesitate to visit again
They gave us probably the oldest room in the house. I stayed there 2 months ago and had a totally different room... Was because of booking via booking.com or because booking late? Who knows...
Our rooms were in the new wing which is a fair walk from the lift with a number of confusing doors. Also the views from the rooms overlooking the courtyard were poor with some concrete constructions in front of the windows.
The whole experience - the attentiveness of the staff, the comfort of the room and the location of the hotel. As it was a business trip I didn't have a chance to use the spa or eat in the restaurants (as we ate out) but will definitely be back.
The rooms were incredibly spacious and the service was excellent. The beds were a bit firm, and they were the weird Euro style -- two twin beds made a king. Other than that, it was wonderful!
The service, the sun terrace, pool and gym area, the situation in Munich, the brekfast The smelling of the room
Location, efficiency, friendly staff
Location was fabulous. Hotel was clean, safe, quiet.
We liked the attention to detail and friendliness, helpfulness of the staff. Breakfast buffet was excellent.
What we liked best about the Louis was our room, which was a very affordable room, and was still spacious and comfortable and stylish and it felt like we were staying in a really cozy, upscale bedroom - it did not feel like a hotel room. Oh and the hotel smells amazingly good. The only thing I would change about the room is, we would have appreciated a tea/coffee bar to prepare our own hot drinks; this is a feature we use all the time in hotels, when available. That is the only thing I consider lacking in the room.
Decor was elegant and unusual e.g. recessed closet space. Room (courtyard-facing) was very quiet despite very central city location. Maybe it's louder in summer? There was a restaurant on the terrace directly below. Breakfast tasted absolutely terrific - ingredients all bought fresh at amazing farmer's market across the street. Staff at desk, in restaurant were friendly, cheerful and eager to help. Upon my request, they instantly replaced the "desk stool" with a chair with a back. Stylish and pleasant lobby encouraged a convivial atmosphere. Daily shoe polish service, daily newspaper were nice amenities. Wireless (included in rate) worked flawlessly. Excellent shower an Platform bed was a little bit uncomfortable.
Location, the room and staff
The hotel is beautiful. lovely attention to detail. spacious, clean design, playful and elegant. Emiko restaurant tastes were delicious. The hotel is in an excellent spot to have a romantic walk through Munich center in the evening, or enjoying the sights and sounds of the Viktualienmarkt in the morning. The room was a bit chilly.
They recognised me from previous visit and upgraded me. Gorgeous design of room and facilities. Great location.
My 16 year old daughter and I loved Hotel Blauer Bock. The beds were super comfortable, the room charming and clean, and the breakfast was superb. A perfect introduction to Europe for my daughter. Also the front desk staff were extraordinary helpful with helping us navigate the train schedules and directions.
The location was perfect - not in the center of tourists but within a couple of blocks with restaurant choice nearby. Could leave luggage at hotel until room was ready. Breakfast was excellent and convenient. The heat was an adjustment but like most places in Munich and Germany there was no air conditioning although the hotel did have fans available for the asking.
Loved the location. Easy access to the Marienplatz shopping street/Metro station.
Convenient location, comfortable, clean, excellent service, very good breakfast buffet, worth the price, able to skip lunch, more time to do other things. Did not find anything to dislike.
Location, staff, comfort
The kindness of the staff and the cleanliness of the room.
Location, breakfast staff
I like the hotel location and breakfast very much:)Cofee was very good:)The conditioning system worked good.
Room and Bathroom were new and modern (very clean) Location to the main square and attractions were unbeatable. Internet was 5euro for 15mins of use...huge ripoff.
The breakfast was excellent. Overall the hotel was very good value and an excellent location.
The Location close to shopping area
The Mercure Hotel Munchen Altstadt is ideally located for the city centre with quick and easy access to both the S-Bahn and underground rail lines. There is a direct train from the airport to Marienplatz (S1 or S8) which takes approx. 38 - 48 minutes, the hotel is then just a few minutes walk. A welcome supply of water, apple juice and coke were provided free of charge in the room. Breakfast, if not included in the room rate is expensive but there are plenty of local cafes to choose from as an alternative!
