Ulemper: "The main issue was getting off the plane in Sydney - we had to wait for a bus to offload us as the plane was sitting a long distance from the terminal. The bus eventually came, offloaded half the passengers and then returned 20 minutes later to start to offload the rest. It's the longest time I've ever spend disembarking from a plane and clearing an airport - very poor whoever was responsible (I'm assuming Sydney airport was at fault)."

A 17 hour plane ride is never the best, but Singapore Air made it as pleasant as possible. Also, we booked on Kayak and was routed through a third party vendor JustFly, which I was a little worried about - but our booking went off without a hitch."

Ulemper: "they walked past me twice with introductory drinks without stopping and offering me one, I then had to ask for one.. not good. the younger staff need to develop the wonderful standard of the older staff."

Fordele: "Boarding was better handled in Singapore - but then that’s Singapore! All very smooth and French champagne served on the flight all the way home! The Kayak website is excellent and I wouldn’t hesitate to use it again - $1,000 cheaper for the flight from Moscow to Singapore than what I could get direct from Singapore Airlines! Well done Kayak!"

Ulemper: "Food was terrible , crew were rude, there were delays due to airline problems at both ends of the flight, there was a complete lack of communication about the problems and how long the delays were going to be. Handling of missed connections was abysmal... Overall extremely disappointing."

Ulemper: "Boarding at Singapore airport was shocking, as we had to wait 6 hours for our flight. Rating low to the crew mainly because of the ground staff as they were not very communicative to begin with about the explanation for our delay. Only when the passengers got a bit more vocal about wanting explanations, they started giving us a bit more information. All estimated times given for boarding the flight were incorrect by a big margin! Seemed more like they were giving shorter wait time for boarding just to please the passengers, where as they were well aware of how long the wait would be."

Ulemper: "They reschudle my flight beaucase I have anxiety. It's my birthday today. I'm suppose to be in China celebrating me and my grandma's birthday right now. Apparently anxiety is something that Singapore airline are very concerned about me, that needs a doctor note to prove that I'm okey to fly. poor coummcation skill and power play"

Ulemper: "But we were meant to fly on an A380. This was an A320. Nowhere near the same legroom. Less entertainment options. No USB charging."

Ulemper: "Aircraft was old, tired, and uncomfortable. The seat of my chair was not attached. There were huge comms boxes below every 2nd seat so zero legroom. Screens were so old they were unwatchable and tiny. Air Asia provides a superior service for a fraction of the price."

Ulemper: "The plane is a bit aged in SIA standard. No USB charging. IFE screen is not bright enough."

Fordele: "We had the BEST FEMALE flight attendants, they were soooo helpful and one of them came and wrote down my kids' names so she can call them by their names, and they got to choose the food and got theirs early so I was able to help them before mine arrived which was super thoughtful! Food option was pretty good and lots of shows and movies to choose from. Getting ice cream was such a treat for my kids!"
Ulemper: "The male flight attendants were kind of annoying, they were trying to be funny but didn't work so they just came off arrogant and annoying!"

Ulemper: "From the moment we checked in in Singapore there was no service. Having travelled first class and Economy before with Singapore I was very disappointed with Business class. My husband and daughter were in First Class. The service was below average to say the least - more training required from check in to on board - (in Sydney the staff on the ground went above and beyond) In Singapore it was very fake and contained no sincerity. The lounge itself was also ordinary compared to others, no Amenity kits or PJs in business class - even Virgin Australia has that! I was so excited to be travelling Singapore again given past experiences but now Im not sure I will want to fly them again."

Ulemper: "Leg room was bad... The foot rest attached to the seat in front of me kept lowering itself on its own."

Ulemper: "The padding in my seat seemed to be a bit thin and became progressively more uncomfortable as the flight progressed. The in-flight entertainment systems are really showing some wear & tear. The screen was blurry, the letters on the control buttons had work off and the sound quality was terrible."

Ulemper: "Onboarding was ridiculous. They merged two gates together with no instructions to the large crowd of people boarding the plane. We were scheduled to start boarding at a certain time and we didn’t actually board until 45 minutes later. When we asked the attendants when we would begin boarding and did they have any instructions they were extremely rude, laughing with one another and taking selfies. When we we asked for the third time they brushed us off with a time frame. It was extremely disappointing."

Fordele: "I appreciated the friendly and always service minded staff. The plane was clean and I enjoyed good leg room. I was happy with the menus and the film selection was entertaining and current. All over a great experience and I would not hesitate to choose Qatar again."

Ulemper: "Crew only helpful when pushed to help. My child was sick and the cabin crew tried to give me food. I said that my child had just vomited but there was no offer to help me clear it up they just continued serving food to other passengers. I had to search for someone to help me to clear up and then I felt as though I was an inconvenience. I then had to look for someone to bring food for myself and other child. My other child is 1yr and 11 months and I was told they were only allowed baby food not a child meal. Although there were a few spare seats on the plane I was squashed into a full row with a 3 yr old and one year old on my lap. I appreciate that there may not have been any bassinet seats left but would have been helpful not to be on a full row as a single adult travelling with two small children. No offers for assistance with bags."

Qatar Airway is a hyper money hungry scammer who catches customers to rip money off from and creates a super tedious and painful experience for customers to ensure their private gains!!! Qatar Airway was delayed for more than an hour at the first departing airport! NO APOLOGIES OR MUCH EXPLANATION OF ANY KIND!! This is just how mindful and courteous they are. It sets the base tone of what this airline is made of. Then at the connecting airport, they closed the gate minutes before the departing time claiming the gate closes 20 minutes before the departing time, knowing they are leaving customers behind who has checked in and just haven’t arrived at the gate yet. And I arrived the gate minutes before the departure time. They can’t wait?! If so, why is it ok for them to delay for an hour without any explanation not to mention apology? Sure there are RULES. But remember what kind of airlines will have tons of rules that will guarantee you to fail?! Almost always the most shady, scammy and money hungry airlines who use ridiculous or ad hoc made RULES to set pitfalls for customers and ensure their profit gains by doing so!! Remember those European cheap airlines?!! They have tons of rules. You are set to fail even you have a smaller bags than some passengers who passed the gate without penalty. You are just unlucky – they set eyes to catch opportunities to rip you off whenever they can and whenever they are in the mood to be able to come up with lame excuses. With normal airlines, you realize your luggage which has been slightly overweight or over sized will be able to pass through without incurring any penalties. So any saying of rules are lame excuses and are shitty airlines’ lame excuses. The thing is good airlines will delay their flight a few minutes to wait for the passenger. If this is considered too needy of a requirement, then what happens next will shock you and reaffirm you how wrongful and shady this airline is. After missing the flight despite you arrived before the departing time, you have to purchase a full price ticket in order to fly again. As I declined to fly with them again since the ticket is too pricey and repurchased a ticket with another airline, they came up with an excuse that in order to release my luggage, they have to reissue a new flight ticket: so I have to pay both a luggage release fee and a flight ticket fee!!! What a gold digger Qatar Airway is haha. Luckily as I protested, they eventually didn’t make me to pay for a new flight ticket fee except a luggage release fee (really?). The sales office quoted a price of $250 to the luggage office. Then it took me a few minutes to get to the sales office. Strange thing happened, despite I mentioned the communication they are aware of, they are trying to find some “RULES” again to validate that I have to pay for an air ticket. I emphasized that is not the case. As I get irritated, guess what they did? They managed to come up with another excuse that in or"

Healthy options on they food menu and delicious food and beverages. I am looking forward to traveling with Qatar airways again in the future."

First of all, the travelling hours are a bit shorter (compared to travelling via Singapore or Hong Kong) probably because of the geography of the cities/connections and the corresponding flight times between Athens-Doha-Sydney. The aircraft was exceptional (I believe it was Airbus A380). It was a double-deck, wide-body and four-engine jet airliner. Cabin and economy class seats were very comfortable and more spacious compared to other aircraft. There was minimal turbulence, which is partially due to the type of aircraft: at least this is my understanding. The aircraft also had wi-fi (complimentary for the first 15 min) and one was allowed to use the mobile phone during the flight (except during take off and landing times). The flight attendants were absolutely amazing. Also, the crew was very understanding and friendly with children. Food was also excellent and in good portions. Overall there was high tech aircraft, excellent service and no delays. I will choose it again in the future."
Ulemper: "On the downside, I had a problem with my entertainment device during the whole flight: there was no sound, so I was not really able to watch any movies/TV.. The flight attendants tried to sort it out, but it was not possible. They kindly brought complimentary magazines and drinks/snacks, however it would have been much preferable if I could watch a movie or if free wi-fi was offered for the whole flight, as compensation.. My understanding is that this was not an option, due to problems providing free password..."

Ulemper: "The seats don't recline very far and on the a380 the window is a very long way from the seat making it impossible to lean against. - so difficult to get a reasonable test. The food was not great. Perhaps not qatar's fault(?) but we bought duty free alcohol in Brussels and took as carry on then after a layover in Doha we were advised Australian regulations prohibited us from taking it on board for the final leg - even though it was still sealed in the duty free bag. We were forced to check it protected only by some lightweight clothing and a thin back pack we had been using as cabin luggage. Fortunately it made it undamaged - but it would be better if we had been informed of this at Brussels."

Ulemper: "There was no non vegetarian meal available."

Ulemper: "The flight was delayed by an hour which made us muss our connection transfer flight. E then were expected to fly the next day which I refused to do as I was a bridesmaid for my friend that evening so had to be there on Friday"

Ulemper: "I had three tickets (one my wifes which wasnt cancelled), wanted to utilize that since I was travelling with Toddler. The crew kept having some sit in that seat and that was a major concern for me"

Ulemper: "Food"

Fordele: "Friendly staff, new aircraft, great food"
Ulemper: "Just some help with hand luggage"

Fordele: "Seats comfortable. Entertainment was extensive. Food was good!"
Ulemper: "Landing was rough!"

Fordele: "The crew was on point and did there jobs well."
Ulemper: "The food was old fashioned and stuck in the 1960s. Having an option of Beef brisket or Salmon or two polarizing choices. I opted for the brisket and it was decent but not actually worth finishing. It was too fatty and strange tasting. Boarding in Sydney needs much improved screens and communication."

Fordele: "Crew was super nice and accommodating. Entertainment was the best selection I’ve ever seen."
Ulemper: "It was impressive. Can’t yhink of anything."

Ulemper: "Not to delay the flight for 2 hours !"

Fordele: "The service, food , amenities were all A +++"

Ulemper: "2 hour delay sitting in Bangkok airport due to sick passengers and their luggage getting off"

Fordele: "The flight certainly lived up to its reputation as being one of the nicest airlines to fly, even in being in economy. Great service, great food, great on board entertainment."
Ulemper: "There was an incident prior to take off where a passenger in first class had to be removed from the plane. Though it’s certainly not the airlines fault that there was an issue with a passenger, they should’ve been a lot more transparent and gave us a lot more information on what exactly was going on other then “we need to go back to a special area to get this passenger off.” Couple that with the security checks to “make sure there is nothing on the plane that shouldn’t be” and very little explanation of what actually occurred, it made for a very stressful flight. Not knowing if this passenger had made any kind of threat against the plane, or safety of other passengers... etc, it was very hard to feel safe for the remainder of my trip being left in the dark as the incident occurred in first class."

Fordele: "The flight was incredibly comfortable, and Emirates reputation is well warranted. Service was impeccable and food was great. Seats were great, especially in business."
Ulemper: "Overall business class was great, however I didn’t like the placement of the remote at my left shoulder. I hit rabdom buttons a few times and it changed the channels and I would have to re-search for the movie I was watching. Everything else was absolutely perfect."

Ulemper: "Boarding is chaotic. Why ask First and Business passengers to start boarding when all you are doing is getting them to leave their seats and stand up for fifteen minutes in front of the closed doors going out of the departure lounge?. This has happened three out of three flights and must be standard operating procedure."

Fordele: "Best airline so far for economy long haul flight, was emerites flight"
Ulemper: "No Arabs on board but everything in Arabic, no real issues. Would have been hard for my Thai girl to navigate on her own"

Fordele: "Decent food, real utensils, free wine, excellent entertainment system, free limited wifi. Try finding that on a budget airline"

Ulemper: "The boarding gate space was quite small and there was no separate queue for business. So you literally had to push through people who were already in the queue to board as a business class. There was no space to go around."

Ulemper: "They didn’t have enough landing cards in English, the aircraft temperature inside was too cold, the staff didn’t close the curtains to the galley area and made noise and light while everyone is trying to sleep, our baggage came out last despite having priority tags and the boarding process from the lounge in Dubai with lifts was very combersome"

Flying at night across the Tasman Sea it was as though we were stationary (apart from a little vibration as we crossed the Southern Alps). Besides, the Air Bus is so quiet (comparatively). Oh yes. One other thing: the fare."
Ulemper: "We are vegetarians (not vegan). I wasn't keen on the chicken/fish option. But I didn't complain."

Ulemper: "There wasn't anything about the flight to and from Sydney to New Zealand we didn't like."

Fordele: "I requested a blanket for my Son and was told there was none available....."
Ulemper: "On disembarking I notice a various overhead compartments with bags full of blankets. Why was a deny a simple Blanket? This is unacceptable in an airline that praises itself to be one with the best customer services.......Bad, really bad...."

Fordele: "So comfy... Great service. Wished the flight was longer b"

Fordele: "Emirates is always excellent however the crew were not very engaging"

Fordele: "La amabilidad de la tripulación, que sí el menú es completamente vegetariano. No como otras aerolíneas que te ponen manteca, leche para el café..."
Ulemper: "Todas las veces me cae muy, pero muy mal. Cuando llegó el momento del té o café, me dieron sal en vez de edulcorante. Demasiado condimento. No es comida para un vuelo, es difícil de digerir. Hasta produce síntomas de indigestión."

Ulemper: "We fid not enjoy the close proximity of several screaming children who insisted in screaming at all hoyrs, making sleep impossible. What was concerning was the reluctance of the staff to intervene. Most disappointing as we did not have any sleep at all overnight."

Fordele: "The onboard crews were excellent. The entertainment was good too. However, the HK check in counter staffs were terrible, rude, condescending, unprofessional. They left bad tastes in our mouths and ruined the whole trip experience."
Ulemper: "Cathay HK check in counter staffs need to be courteous, respectful, and professional. They need to be trained not to be rude, condescending, disrespectful, unprofessional"

Ulemper: "Same as before. Dirty and smelly. Food was ok."

Fordele: "The seats are old .. the plane is old .. the flight was delayed 2 hours, food even in first class lounge is not apetising the menu has been cut significantly.. lettuce and tomato say that they are not sourced from China .. must be from India as the quality sucks"
Ulemper: "On time is an expectation that if you travel from HK to BKK on CX that it is always delayed .. common knowledge for people in Thailand.. this is bad"

Fordele: "Really good flight, no complaints here. Friendly and efficient staff."

Ulemper: "Plan was 2 hours late departing, my daughter also took this flight 6 weeks beforehand and had similar delays."

Ulemper: "the rice with fish didn’t taste that nice and the veggy was a bit overcooked"

Fordele: "the airline provided good communication to customers regarding potential flight re-scheduling and check-in information. the service was good, with a selection of meals. the onboard flight entertainment was very easy to use and had a large range of contents to view. overall I will fly with Cathay again."

Ulemper: "I checked in online, printed the boarding passes as I know japan probably isn’t ready for phone apps for checking in. When I went to the counter, despite being the one holding all the documents (and having organized the whole travel itinerary, the staff only spoke to my husband (Whi hadn’t a clue about the journey) in Japanese. They proceeded to check us in on their computer and insisted that we use their paperwork, not mine. What a farce. What a waste of paper and my time."

Ulemper: "Not enough padding on the seats for long distance travel. Not enough leg room. Not enough baggage bin over top of your seat people from other seats put their luggage on your overhead bins."

Ulemper: "- very uncomfortable flight - seated with someone who whined and complained the whole way - could not sleep as the person behind me snored loudly the whole night - Was sitting in the isle seat and kept getting hit in the arm every time the trolley went by"

Ulemper: "We had 1.5 hour delay and when we reached Vancouver airport the car rentals were close and we have to wait 3 more hour till 5:30 Am till they open. We are not happy at all"

Fordele: "The flight attendance were polite and helpful. They are very generous in pouring the red wine for the passengers. Food/beverages are fine as compared with other cross Atlantic airlines. The captain was very pleasant during his in-flight announcements; complete and thorough. The bathrooms were quite clean."

Ulemper: "Entertainment system is a little bit outdated. Not as good as was on the other flight where you can search for movies by keyword."

Ulemper: "Entertainment touch screen did not work properly. Staff had yo reset it a few times but it still didn't recognise touch most of time which was frustrating. The screen should be chaned or repaired. It was cold on the plane Departure was delayed but we did not get explanation"

Fordele: "The food quality was great, and they had cup noodles available upon request throughout the whole flight, which was a nice touch. The staff was lovely and very helpful, there were endless entertainment options, and the seats were roomy."

Ulemper: "Seat was uncomfortable, something was dripping on me by the end of the flight, could have been condensation? The passenger behind me had his shoes off the entire flight and put his feet in the space beside me near the window. His feet smelt like vinegar and sweaty socks. The passenger beside me was overweight and he spilled into my seat partially. All of this did not make for a comfortable flight but thankfully it wasn't too long."

Fordele: "The meal options that were served on this flight were great, and the overall flight was peaceful."
Ulemper: "Flight was delayed due to weather, and this seemed to frazzle the flight crew. Pre-takeoff service of water and juice or champagne was only give to one side of the premium cabin, and when I asked if they would complete it for the other side after take-off was told no. I'm used to Cathay taking our orders and being back what we ask for for a premium experience, however on this trip they just brought everything on carts and asked people what they wanted on the spot, offering no suggestions. Overall the service on this CX 889 flight seemed to be severely underpar for what I expect from Cathay"

Fordele: "I've taken other long-haul flights where it seems the flight attendants were serving food or drinks every couple of hours, leaving little time to sleep peacefully. But the Cathay staff, I think, balanced it well. Over 15 hrs, I was only woken up 2-3x for food. Was nice to be able to sleep without being disturbed too much."
Ulemper: "Way too cramped in the economy section. I'm a small guy, but even for me it was cramped."

Fordele: "Good service. Love that you can have wine with dinner! Good size blankets provided."
Ulemper: "They called us to board early and then we stood there for about 10 minutes before they actually started letting people through the gates."

Fordele: "The service was amazing & the attendants were so attentive and accommodating."
Ulemper: "No complaints, whatsoever."

Fordele: "Same as above"

Fordele: "Nothing wrong with the flights, but big issues with Cathay Pacific coordinating connecting flights after first flight was canceled."
Ulemper: "I was waiting and standing to find out about my rebooked flight for 3 hours. The Cathay pacific employees in Manila tried their best to get everyone on the next connecting flights out, but there was no proper system. Everyone was trying to handle the cases of multiple passengers rather than delegating tasks. PLUS the new flight went through an additional stopover in Vancouver... Was not messaged about any compensation."

Fordele: "Great service."
Ulemper: "Nothing to complain about."

Fordele: "For the reasons stated above, we did not travel to Perth on Cathay Pacific. However, the Cathay Pacific staff were very helpful in organising our rescheduled flight with Air New Zealand."
