Fordele: "Everything about my flights on Virgin Atlantic was amazing. The plane was new and comfortable, the seats seemed to recline more than in other airplane I have been. The entertainment was good with a wide selection of movies and TV shows. The crew was incredibly nice and helpful and I had a really pleasant time talking with them. On the airport team side I can also say they were extremely helpful as I missed my flight and they promptly rebooked me on the next one 3h later, free of charge. I think the stress of missing a flight was completely deflected by the help of the Virgin Atlantic crew at the desk so thank you for that!"
Ulemper: "The only thing I would improve is the main dish in the meal. I loved all the small sides like the Boursin and crackers but I found the main meal a little bland l."

Upgraded seats were laughable and not worth an extra $60. Food was mediocre. Entertainment would have been good but GE touchscreens are so old, they were difficult to work."

Fordele: "The flight crew from the mel to lax route were excellent. One was especially attentive to my 2 toddlers and gave me a bit of a break, something that has NEVER happened in over 40 flights traveling with children."
Ulemper: "I think something was broken in our section (mel to lax) as it was uncomfortably hot and the flight crew tried to get it cooler but could not. I’ve never experienced a flight that was too hot, usually the opposite. It was stifling."

Ulemper: "I always think Virgin's meals are the WORST among those of all the airlines I use. PLEASE LET THE VIRGIN COMPANY KNOW THIS FACT. The touch screen of the DVD player did not work well so it was a frustrating experience."

Fordele: "Everything from boarding to disembarking went very smoothly. Flight was on time, seats were comfortable and crew was friendly and accommodating."

Ulemper: "I never understood how to connect the earphones to the screen so I couldn't ser any movie. But - I could have asked the staff of course ..."

Fordele: "We paid extra for more legroom and it was totally worth it."
Ulemper: "The regular seats were so lacking in leg room that I could not cross my legs, reach the floor to get my glasses when I dropped them, or even get my carry-on out. There is no way to get into the "brace for impact position" with arms over your head and head in your lap! This is really unsafe, not to mention really uncomfortable. The flight was long, so comfort would be nice! Our first flight was regular seats and I was pretty miserable and I am a slender woman 5'6". The extra 3" was great, and we had to pay more on the return trip. The FAA should be investigating seat size and safety on planes."

Ulemper: "My economy window seat was just too cramped for a big guy on a nine hour flight"

Fordele: "The movie selections and comfortable headsets made it possible to watch three movies uninterrupted. The food selections were well prepared. Flight attendants were helpful and efficient."
Ulemper: "Boarding is always a bit of chaos when our seats are right in the back. People further up insist on boarding early and block the aisles in the process. Multiple levels of passport control and baggage checkout are chaotic, but that's for most all flights coming into USA? VIrgin/Delta handled it well enough. By the time we got through passport control in Boston ur bags were waiting and we had no problems at all."

Fordele: "first time I flew VirginAtlantic. Heard so many good things about it. It fact even our Uber driver was praising the airline on our way to the airport. But once onboard: - poor food (I mean 'survival kit' style) - entertainment station was not working - games feel like 20 years old - design (heavy red) now looks dated and suffocating - hostesses are more focused on their hairstyle than their customers"

Ulemper: "The entre food top was torn, apparently opened before I got it, also there was no salad dressing. ATTN RICHARD BRANSON: Are you concerned for our environment? The head stewardess would not refill my sports water bottle after I asked her nicely, instead she poured water into a cup which she threw away, wasting plastic unnecessarily. I told her I did not like wasting plastic and she appeared to not enjoy what I had to say. This was the same lady who handed me my dinner. Rest of crew was great."

Had no idea this service was discontinued until way into the flight. Not sure why it was stopped. Btw I don't believe this was a Virgin Atlantic flight, I believe it was Virgin AUSTRALIA. Think you have names backwards on survey."

Fordele: "ear plugs, eye mask, pillow and blanket provided. fruit, water and juice available without asking someone for it. adequate leg room, good movie selection and 2 meals with wine provided."

Ulemper: "BYOjet cancelled my flight"

Fordele: "Superior comfort, class, and style. The crew was friendly and accommodating, the pilots kept you up to date with flight info and departure/arrival time (and kept the seat belt light off almost the entire trip), the food was delicious and offered throughout, and the entertainment was top notch. Seats were comfortable (we had bulkhead row Space+ and they were worth every cent for the international long haul from LAX-BNE and SYD-LAX) and everyone got a pillow/blanket. We got premium noise-canceling headsets, water, and a little care kit including an eye mask and earplugs and a pen to fill out your travel documents. The overhead bin space was huge and we got two free checked bags of luggage up to 50lbs each (I don't know of that's standard or not, or if it came with Space+ seats). SERIOUSLY the best airline."
Ulemper: "Absolutely nothing. For a long haul flight, Virgin Australia is TOP NOTCH!"

Fordele: "Dont whish to comment unless a human being can contact me and help me get the $200 travel voucher I was promised. It was so stressful its the least that can be done"

Ulemper: "There was no food served at all! Just a plastic water container for the entire flight. Could’ve served a snack or two like JetBlue does in USA"

Ulemper: "Crew was little bit rude. They didn’t help me to find the spot for my carry on luggage."

Ulemper: "Transferring from an international flight to a domestic flight was difficult. This flight was a joint flight between Turkish airlines and China Southern, there should have been someone from China Southern to help us transfer when we landed. I asked the crew at the plane whether someone will help us transfer and they said yes, but there was none. At the very least, how to transfer to domestic flights has to be part of the customs video. Finding where to go was difficult for someone that does not know Chinese."

Fordele: "Short, sweet, and yummy! Short trip, sweet experience with their staff and boarding process, and yummy snacks."

Fordele: "The flight attendants were friendly, attentive and efficient."
Ulemper: "Many flights were grounded for several hours because of some airline operational glitch. We were provided with no information or guidance about how to resume our travels. As we tried to sort ourselves out we were sent from lineup to lineup without much progress or friendly service."

Ulemper: "As close as an hour to takeoff, we had not received any confirmation from the gate that we would be boarding there. Upon asking the gate attendant at our supposed depature gate if if was indeed the gate depating for Kabul, she "had no idea." To begin boarding, people just randomly started lining up without any formal announcement ever occuring."

Ulemper: "My seat was broken. Entertainment system was non responsige and expressly slow. Couldn’t hear anything from the earphones."

Fordele: "Attractive business class fares. Among the best business class."
Ulemper: "Don't underestimate the additional hours. The stopover in Istanbul is definitely a negative (crowded, unpractical airport). Next time I will probably stick to European airlines, if the fare difference is reasonable."

Ulemper: "The temperature on board was extremely hot! Add this to body odor and you get a terrible flight."

Ulemper: "wasnt able to print my boarding pass while checking in online. being able to do so would have helped a lot if i didnt have to check-in at the counter as the flight was at 5am. i could have just got in and spent the night at a lounge."

Ulemper: "Flight from Copanhagen to Istanbul was delayed for an hour...computer malfunction was the reason. I was a little bit stressed because I had a connecting flight to Manila, was afraid i wouldn't make it. And also, no gate assignment yet for Istanbul to Manila. Since it was my first time to travel via Turkish Airline, not familiar with Istanbul airport."

Ulemper: "I was sitting next to toddlers, who were crying and hyper. I think they should assign special section for parents with kids under 5. Felt sick after dinner with aubergine rice and mince meat. Food was not optimum quality. Crew was good but some could smile some more! Seats were stained and old, but reasonably comfy."

Ulemper: "The flight was delayed over two hours causing great stress and worry about missing our next flight, which we did. As there were many of us on the neit flight also I wonder if any effort was made to hold that flight for us."

Fordele: "Turkish Airlines er normalt, som samlet pakke min favorit, men når indtjekning vælger at sætte 2 voksne mænd på sæder ved nødudgangen der kun er ca. 75% i størrelse af normle (små) sæder, så er 3½ time til Istanbul en lang sammenklemt oplevelse."

Ulemper: "Ground staff very unhelpful and arrogant. Wanted to upgrade to business class and the representative who served me was very rude and unhelpful. Boarding was through buses which was inefficient and messy. My trip was 11 hours of flying time. Economy seating is super tight and legroom awful. For long haul flights they must be more generous in terms of seat size and legroom."

Ulemper: "Management of time excellent. Plane went on time. Staff on checking in or in the plane were polite, pleasant, professional and available. Timing of delivery of luggage also was fast."

Ulemper: "We had to spend the night in Istanbul and get only on the next flight the following morning. TK airport (ground) staff that talked to us was antipathetic and it took ages to get any service. Looks like they didn't care we about the delay, nor they were trying to help us. Just kept saying we need to wait."

This is just to show that the marketing approach for flights decided to Africans is not a priority"

Fordele: "We arrived safely and on time"
Ulemper: "The seat spacing on that flight was some of the tightest I have ever seen - worse than even most of the short-haul (Embraer) flights i have been on - barely manageable for 3.5 hours. Flight attendants were borderline rude and bossy, but they had to be, because the passengers were loud and unruly."

Fordele: "Having every single person I spoke with pass me on to another party. Apparently customer complaints is really no one's job. They're extremely motivated to have you find someone else to correct your problem. Rest assured it is "your problem" I was told quite explicitly that my missed connection flight and lost luggage was not their problem."
Ulemper: "They lost my luggage. Couldn't even tell me when my bag was checked despite the scan tag they attached to my boarding pass when they weighed it and checked it in back in New York. They legitimately had no idea if my bag ever left the United States. It took 3 days to locate my baggage while I was trying to celebrate my anniversary with my wife in Athens. being without your luggage for half a week in a foreign country is not even remotely fun. I had to wait around missing tours and reservations trying to find our luggage most of our first 48 hours in Greece. After giving up on getting our stuff we had to waste a chunk of time shopping to replace our clothing and toiletries. Despite having purchased the travel insurance I'm still fighting a month after our trip ended to be reimbursed for the clothes we had to buy just to begin our vacation. Again they continue to stonewall by transferring our complaint calls endlessly and forwarding our emails with "new" case numbers each time. Basically what this accomplishes is they can't ever find the case number they updated it to and insist that the prior case number is listed as resolved. Since they say it's resolved there is nothing anyone can do to help. Not sure if I'll ever get any satisfaction out of this debacle."

Ulemper: "The flight was delayed because one or more of the crew were late. I would suggest that when you board a large flight, start from the rear of the plane, not the front. Having to go past everyone to get to your seat is time consuming and somewhat stressful. The food was super gross. The so called beef bulgogi was not appetizing at all. For breakfast, the food was disgusting."

Ulemper: "Flight was cancelled. flight attendants were grumpy. One of the tightest seats I've flown in economy. No room in overheads so I had to stuff my winter coat between my legs with my backpack under the seat in front of me. Was basically wedged into the seat with my stuff."

Ulemper: "The overhead bin did not stay down low enough so that I could place my bag in. It would lower then before I could place my bag raise slightly by a few inches. For someone of my height (5’5”) that was problematic. Fortunately another passenger saw my dilemma and held the bin lower to its full opening capacity. This also momentarily slowed down the boarding process."

Ulemper: "Late pickup, then no gate at stopover causing is to miss our flight as we sat on the tarmac. Got on next flight, 5 hours later, the literal last row of the plane right in front of the bathroom, you know, those seats that don't recline? Travelling with a cranky two year old, made pains to select seats for maximum child comfort and it all flew out the window. Arrived at destination and sat, again, waiting for a gate. Signed up for sky miles previously based on good experiences, but this was one lane thing after another. Advice? Don't act like you're doing me a favor when asking people to check bags cause then it's "free"."

Fordele: "The flight was ontime, boarding was okay. Disembarking seemed a little slow."
Ulemper: "Seats have gotten narrower and closer together and it was a new plane which seemed to have more slope to the wall which meant even less room in the window seat. Too warm in the plane"

Ulemper: "The flight left three hours late while the crew was waiting for an oxygen tank to arrive. We were boarded onto the plane after it was nearly an hour and a half late, then waited in out cramped seats for another hour and a half as we continued to wait for the same piece of equipment. At one point a Delta employee announced over the plane's PA system that we'd be getting vouchers to compensate us for this absurd delay, but there was no explanation of how to claim those vouchers."

Fordele: "A pretty well-run flight, till we landed and waited on the tarmac for a gate. Otherwise, uneventful. Lunch was decent. Crew was good."

Ulemper: "I was seated in first class, and due to some catering mix-up, no meal was served. I was given a banana and crackers which was very disappointing since I hadn't eaten in 8 hours and was starving. No on board entertainment whatsoever."

Ulemper: "Very uncomfortable seats Oddly shaped overhead bins, unable to put standard sized bags overhead, meanwhile they fit in planes of other major airline companies such as American Airlines. No food options, only sweet biscuit which contains soy and milk."

Ulemper: "The flight was delay for 3 hours and they only give us chips and water. They didn't explain well what was the problem. The plane was dirty inside and the seats werent comfortable at all, the plane was making weird noises. There is no window in the 11A Window Seat. Really really bad service at all."

Fordele: "Plane was clean, attendants were friendly, and food was fine."
Ulemper: "I had a flight from Detroit to Montreal. Tried to check in and DTW was not a choice on the westjet website and so I physically could not check in. I realized the flight was technically operated not by WestJet, but Gojet. Went to Gojet's website and was told that Delta took care of all of their ticketing and such. Went to Delta's website, entered my ticket number and card number but I was not in the system as I was given all WestJet info (not Delta's). Luckily the baggage check in people figured it all out."

Ulemper: "Missed our connection due to a 30 flight delay because crew duty day and crew rest and had to rebook on a later flight on the same day. Downgraded from first class by the airline without any compensation."

Fordele: "Clean plan and efficient boarding procedure."
Ulemper: "Horrible delay. Took off almost two hours post originally scheduled time."

Ulemper: "I could not check in on the kiosk and I had to go to two agents before they could find my reservation. The lines were extremely long and the customer service was poor."

Ulemper: "Plane was not cleaned well from the previous flight and looked dirty from being overlooked for so long. There was garbage in my seat back pocket and the overhead areas all looked dirty as if they were never cleaned at all."

Ulemper: "One of the men working the desk at the gate was rude & condescending to me. The other gate agent who was having us board (he was an ethnic man) was friendly & excellent."

Fordele: "Customer service by the crew"
Ulemper: "Lufthansa still charges full price like usual, but on a 8+ hour flight to serve a cat size meal of pasta soaked in some pesto sauce is unacceptable! Thank god I had lunch at Frankfurt before departure! Covid-19 should not be an excuse for lack of services! I work for a company which falls into the Essential business category and despite the pandemic we NEVER EVER compromised with the top quality of our product! I am so dissatisfied with Lufthansa and what they have become, pale shadow of a great company, very sad...."

Ulemper: "The seat could have been thicker and softer for greater comfort--instead, it was thin and flimsy. There should also be greater space/pitch between the rows of seats."

Ulemper: "Flyet var forsinket så jeg missede forbindelsen til CPH i Frankfurt. Det kan ske. Blev omboket til tidligt fly næste morgen. Sådan måtte det jo så være. Men at skulle stå i kø som business pasager i 55 min for at få hotelvoucher og nyt boardingpass var for meget. Economy havde endnu længere kø. Skikkerhedstjek næste morgen i Frankfurt tog 35 min for business og op mod 1t for economy!"

Fordele: "the flight from Frankfurt to Chicago was delayed by an hour. we have missed our connecting flight to Omaha. We were at the gate 8 minutes prior to departure, but United closed the gate right before our noses. Not cool. Horrible experience. My guess is that United has given our seats to someone else. After all United did the same thing to use once before. We will not travel United/Lufthansa again."

Fordele: "Treated passengers well - even those of us in steerage. Food was excellent and entertainment options plentiful. Coach is still coach, and it’s hard to settle in for a nap. So, if arriving rested is important to you, spring for business class."

Ulemper: "Flight was late causing me to miss flight to Chicago ORD. Missed flight left me waiting in Frankfurt over-night with-out a hotel, nor anyone from Lufthansa to assist with finding a sleeping cot. No airport/Lufthansa staff would offer to bring me a cot and all attempts by me to locate a cot were unsuccessful leaving me to walk from area to area to locate were the cots were stored. Ten Euro meal compensation was severely inadequate to cover dinner and breakfast. Very dissatisfied."

The cabin crew got them to put up their seats for the food service, but otherwise there was nothing they could do. Can't we just tell people that coach doesn't have the room to recline. Also, you guys are German, can't we at least board by rows?"

Ulemper: "The food could be better. Too salty. But it is better than nothing and it was hot! So that was good."

Ulemper: "It was a really rainy day and we all had to get on shuttles to get to our plane. Once we reached the plane, the crew should have facilitated an orderly boarding through both doors rather than one. This was also a pretty empty flight and other passengers were utilizing their assigned seat as well as a whole other row and calling it theirs just because they set something on one seat. It didn't seem right that some of us had to stay in our little crowded area while others used up 4 seats and I don't mean for laying down."

Fordele: "We had a four hour delay and were promptly put in a hotel; Sheraton beds are very comfortable, I wish I had more than three hours to sleep."
Ulemper: "I never heard major announcements regarding the delay or the meal voucher (maybe not loud enough?). If they said it only once, they should've repeated it. It sounds stupid, but I waited for an hour at boarding before I realized the lineup is for meal vouchers and not the flight. Nobody approached or announced anything, I had to go and ask about changes and details."

Ulemper: "The only complaint I had was that it was very warm on the flight (and I usually get cold on flights), and in the seats we had there weren't fans above the seats. A few rows up they had fans, so apparently you have to pay extra for air... This wouldn't be a big deal on a short domestic flight, but for an international flight it was a long time to be uncomfortable!"

Ulemper: "Half the screens were not working - crew were made aware but nothing was done. Vegetarian choices were poor to non-existent ; I witnessed crew insist to a passenger that there were no vegetarian options! They finally cobbled something together for him but not a pleasant experience"

I felt like I was being tortured and didn’t sleep at all and so slept when getting into Amsterdam rather than being able to explore the city. I was out $200 for the Airbnb (could’ve stayed in the airport cheaper) and $200 for a dinner cruise I slept through. NEVER AGAIN"

Ulemper: "I did not enjoy the turbulence, which I suppose is unavoidable. More importantly, I felt quite guilty about the greenhouse gas emissions of my flight. I have decided to cut down on my air travel as much as possible as a way of reducing my carbon footprint."

Ulemper: "Boarding was very confusing. There was an area where they were checking people's bags or something near the gate and you didn't know if you needed to stop at it or continue. They didn't collect garbage before landing. Not only did we have to take our bags off the plane, we had to carry our garbage (drink cups/food served) to the front of the plane to throw out."

Ulemper: "Our total flight time was about 17 hours - MAD- AMS-LAX. My husband and I both have an internationally approved carry on luggages with us. When we checked in - they asked us to both check in our carry on luggage. The reason why is because they said they don’t think they have enough space for our carry ons. I told the crew member checking us in that other people that was checking in with the same hand carry size luggage with us had no problems taking it with them. For being about to be on a 17 HOUR FLIGHT we should be ALLOWED to have our carry ons with us! We take carry ons for that reason! I had to argue and prove my case to the crew member to atleast keep 1 carry on with us. I thought that was an UNACCEPTABLE reason for us to check in a carry on luggage when we had a 17 hour travel time ahead of us. Not a happy costumer here."

Ulemper: "... ear plugs, masks, good food or even picking seats? I remember when it was all complementary and standard on overnight flights. Oh, and the vegetarian breakfast was unfortunately poor as well. I know you can do better, because you used to."

Fordele: "Food was good and crew members were very nice"
Ulemper: "My check in luggage was in very bad condition when I receive it. My clothes were all wet and they got bab by each other’s colour. Many clothes are not in a condition to wear now. Those were expensive and I had a big loss because of that."

Ulemper: "After more than two hours of delay... Initially the flight takes off was at 8:35... Then 21:20... Then 21:50... Then 22:10. Finally we took off at 22:40... Refund our money klm..."

Fordele: "Due to lightening bolt strike our pre-Y2K era plane got switched out with a newer plane with modern media delivery at the seats."
Ulemper: "This caused a two hour delay in boarding and another 30 minutes on the JFK T4 tarmac. Same crappy headphones so it wasn’t the"

Ulemper: "Per usual, KLM can't seem to figure out the order of boarding the plane. Should be business - priority - everyone else. Instead they do priority first, and that's usually two-thirds of the passengers. Strange choice of in-flight movies; no accounting for taste, I guess."

Ulemper: "Delay again... seems to be pretty frequent on KLM flights at least on the ones I flew with in the past 4 years... this time it was 3hours wait due to a technical issue... no alternative flight option and we ended up getting a very old plane as a replacement. In addition people at info terminals are disorganized and not kind at all.."
