No staff arrived until 11am to check people in and take baggage. We were flying business and would have liked to check in earlier and make our way through security to the business lounge but could not and had to wait for three hours. It would have been nice to have one person on duty."

Fordele: "Crew was very helpful with getting me "something" to eat since I did not receive a "Vegan" meal as I had ordered when I bought the flight... The meal I originally was given was included milk and cheese ingredients and after explaining what vegan actually was they did their best to help my situation. My first flight with Swiss to Switzerland included the correct "vegan" meal do I can't understand how this mistake was made by Swiss on the return flight?"
Ulemper: "I did not receive a "vegan" meal as ordered originally and though they were very helpful they should all be better educated regarding the differences between "Vegan", Vegetsrian, Lacto-Ovo, etc... Since I was embarrassed as I had to keep rejecting the food they gave me until I educated them on the basics of what Vegan food is... They were very helpful throughout."

Luckily we had snacks with us, but for someone who might not, that would be a long flight especially the day flight on the way back. Additionally, my luggage got left in Iceland on the way back to Toronto, and the desk agent in Toronto for Iceland Air could not have been less helpful."
Ulemper: "The airport was absolute chaos. No room to wait at the gate, poor communication, no info at the gate, late flights, people crammed into the bus for the plane. Seems the amount of travrlers has simply overwhelmed the airport staff and space. Hot cramped airplane and you have to pay for the most meager snack. By contrast, Jet Blue was spacious and comfortable. Unlikely to travel Icelandair in the future."

Ulemper: "Some menu items weren't carried on this flight. Oh yeah - as I peep at reviews below - Reykjavik airport is super chaotic around departure gates. Probably wasn't built to accommodate the masses and endless international connections. The backlog of travelers is likely caused by another carrier who is known for delayed departures and arrivals."

I left my phone in seat 6C or B where I sat with my husband. The lady with the oxygen tank needed help coming back from the bathroom as we were ready to land. We stopped the movie we were watching on my phone to help her and I guess I forgot it. Please, please return my phone. Samsung note galaxy 20 ultra. It is on airplane mode. Thanks so much

Also, I wish I would have been told ahead of time, that I would have to check my bag again going home, even though the plane did have overhead space. Other than that, I love AA!"
Ulemper: "I didn't get very good instructions about picking up my carry on bag plane side. I was told to go to the baggage claim instead by a staff member when I came out of the plane, but this was wrong, so I ended up waiting a very long time for them to bring me my carry on bag to the baggage claim."
Ulemper: "When I checked in on line, I was asked to choose my seat. However, there were no seats available that were free of added charge. I had to pay another $50.00 for a seat. I do believe, when I have a confirmed ticket, I should not have to pay an additional charge for a seat."

Ulemper: "I have been flying for over 40 years and this American flight is the worst SNAFU I have ever experienced. Rerouted for refuling 30+ minute waits for gates to open, 1+ hour waits for takeoff. Not all of it was weather related. Even the flight attendant is disgusted."
Ulemper: "If the airline decides to cut cost by giving 2 lousy biscuits to each passenger, why not cut it all out? That saves the crew the troubles too."

Fordele: "My flight was delayed many hours so I wasn’t going to make my connecting flight in NY it to Toronto, There service agent was great and found me a seat on a later flight that was direct. Overall, happy with their service found me the best flight available."
Ulemper: "I never could figure out why the flight was delayed, there were a couple of other delayed AA flights too. I was supposed to get to Toronto at 2pm for a 5pm presentation, but I didn’t get in until 9. I also felt their website was deceptive or maybe needs updating,When I bought my ticket It stated that I would get 3 bags complimentary since it was Canada that wasn’t the case, I was charged for $60 for both."
Ulemper: "Delayed for 3 hours in SJU, no notice until after departure time had passed. Missed my connection , offered only option if 4 hours lay over. waist of time x whole day"
Fordele: "British Airways got us on another flight to Dublin through Heathrow."
Ulemper: "Plane was late missed the connecting flight. Aer Lingus/American Airlines refused to help us find another flight to Dublin. I called Vagama customer service and the attended refused to help get an additional flight or confirm our returning flight would be held."

Fordele: "Great Wifi! After reading bad reviews it was actually ok. Flew business on the A319 (single aisle plane) and it reminded me of qantas 737. I think for a short haul day flight I may just put up with economy instead for the price. Food is ok. I think with AA you have to pick your aircraft, it makes a difference what plane you fly as to what you get in business class. FA's were great. Overall I'd fly them again. Food was ok."
Ulemper: "They asked everyone to put the window shades down but I fly window seat because I like looking out! It was a day flight too! LAX T4 lounge is being refurbished so you need to go to T5 and make sure it's not the regional lounge!"
Fordele: "Great time. It was one of the best flights I have ever taken."

Ulemper: "The service had much to be desired. The stewardess who was serving our section was curt and rude. Whenever I would ask for a napkin (that she had forgotten to give with my drink, I might add) or any other questions, she would come off as annoyed and as if I was testing her patience, which I did not appreciate as I had been having a horrible experience with American Airlines as it was. Also, why do you not serve milk with your coffee? The flight only served half and half, and I cannot have cream in my coffee at all. So unless you want to clean up my diarrhea in your toilets, I suggest you start giving options. It's not like milk is a scarce delicacy in the US. How is it that other airlines offer both milk and cream, but I get told by your staff, rudely, that half and half "is milk" and that it's all you have? Unbelievable. I hate to be a b*** but honestly this isn't the first time that I got treated like this on AA. I always seem to have a horrible experience with this airline."
Ulemper: "The fact that your company doesn't want to give me some sort of compensation for being delayed and missing my connecting flight and having to get a hotel."
Fordele: "Lots of in-flight entertainment and plenty of service."
Ulemper: "Food choices left something to be desired but still good. I was in the middle seat, which nobody likes but other than that, it worked out."
Fordele: "First class on TUS to ORD flight - very good flight attendant who was very pleasant, attentive and knowledgeable... she remembered which drink I was having."

They invented a platinum """""Pro""" level that used to be Platinum and downgraded the platinum level so they provide less perks"
Ulemper: "Flight was four hours late departing. Pretty much ruins the whole flight."

Ulemper: "Boarding was chaotic- partly because passengers payed little attention to boarding groups and ground crew tried to control it- to little avail. Also, pilot or crew did not tell us what gate we were deplaning at and with short tomes between flights, I need to plan where my next gate is and fastest route there."
Fordele: "That i was able to apply my delta sky miles account to the reservation"
Ulemper: "That it was actually an american flight, not alaska. Agents at desk tried to tell me i couldn't hang my hanging back and had to roll it up and put it in purse. Internet connection is horrendous. Flight attendant not willing to reimburse me after i paid $34 and received no internet. Will avoid flying American going forward at all costs."
Fordele: "They were able to use the electronic boarding pass through the app which is nice. Boarding was really quick."
Ulemper: "The overhead bins didn't have enough space for carry on for everybody flying."
Ulemper: "For an airline that has been around as long as they have, their customer service is lacking signicantly. Communication was lacking to the passengers. As far as helpful, I cannot say they I witnessed anyone being helpful or trying to make a pleasant experience. The flight attendants seemed lacking in knowledge, friendliness, consideration, or empathy."
Fordele: "Flight attendants were ok"
Ulemper: "I left my cellphone with a wallet case with all my important information including military ID in the seat pocket. American Airlines has NO BODY I can talk to to locate my device. I had to fill out a form online and now I am stuck waiting up to 30 days to find it."
