Ulemper: My allocated seat was so cramped my knees were compressed against the seat back in front, however I sat. I am not unduly tall. They did actually move me and that was a bit better. Had to pay for water - that's wrong!

Ulemper: Everything cost money, so I didn't eat for the entirety of the 9+3 hour flight. No on-flight entertainment (didn't bother me but it's part of the rating)
Fordele: Apart from over priced in flight food and drink, uncomfortable seats I was treated awfully on return flight from Newark by one attendent. I will be writing an official complaint today. I was charged a ridiculous price $100 for my carry on bag that was checked as free personal item on first trip. Lack of available information or internet at boarding gate was shocking. I explained multiple times I had the correct dimensions of bag and it was smaller then people's rucksacks who got on before me and were not charged. Besides this the whole thing was handled very badly by the boarding crew there with the lady being very rude to me, I was quite shocked and upset getting in plane. I had no money left on my visa afterward to even get food or drink in airport stop ever which was delayed.

Ulemper: You have to pay for checkin bags and carry on bags. There is no entertainment on the airplane you had ad to pay to use their tablet to watch movies.

Fordele: The flight crew on the overall trip was excellent, very friendly and made the flight feel safe
Fordele: There was a fantastic and extensive entertainment selection for international flights (including safe options for kids and a range of genres for adults). Variety of movies, selections of TV shows, music, audio books, and more. Make sure to bring your own headphones if you don't want to have to buy headphones. When the flight attendants of my first flight realized several of us were going to miss our connecting flights (after we kindly expressed concern while we waited to de-plane), they worked diligently to talk to four different outgoing flights and asked them to stall. To my knowledge we all made it on our connecting flights, though it delayed the flights for others whom had already boarded. It wasn't difficult to get additional water, which is important when in air for an extensive time.
Ulemper: Based on all of my flights to / from in this journey on Iceland Air, they tend to lose time in air or have some sort of ground delay. That said, I would encourage buyers to select flights with at least a 2 hour stop over in Iceland to prevent stress, especially if you want a wider selection of food sonce the airport has more options and IA doesn't serve food for free on any of their U. S. To/From Europe flights.
Ulemper: The booking was too tight. We BARELY made our flight to Minneapolis and the airport in Rehkjavik is way too small for the number of flights coming in at the same time. We were in a winding, snakelike line for security that went on forever and then when we got through, the lines for the gates were mixed up, without proper seating areas and separation. People were in the wrong lines because it was too crowded to see where we should be. This is a POORLY run airport that needs significant expansion and improvement.

They called for Final Boarding over 50 minutes before departure and then proceeded to not even leave the gate until actual departure time, no stated delay either. They want you to rush on and wait, and pay! Woke up the cabin to try and sell hats with over 3 hours to go on flight. Not even water or a simple snack was complimentary. The Spirit Airways of Europe....

The flight crew in Paris had no information about whether or not they were going to hold our flight, and we all sprinted through the airport in Iceland to board our second flight.

Ulemper: The seat I selected was changed. I selected 45C and was assigned 54 E Upon check-in. Why? An aisle seat vs middle seat when I paid full faire is unacceptable. Also it was not made clear that I would have had to pay to check luggage. $120??!!!! I always carry on and this could have been easily avoided by not bringing gifts. Again, $120?!!!!! On top of an $1100 flight? You have to be kidding me.

Ulemper: We were told upon check in that there was a charge to check in. I have never heard of such rubbish in 43 years of air travel. We were told we could check in online but we only had 4 minute in which to do it. We were charged €150 for 5 people. The check in Sgent was sour faced as well. Once aboard the plane (a nice new aircraft) we found the stewardesses sour faced as well. Overall not impressed by air Baltic!
Fordele: The plane was very clean and new. The crew who worked this flight were most friendly, professional and quite articulate in three languages including the captain. I highly recommend them.

It was hot and flight attendants were not very compassionate to those with children. We should have been given a complementary beverage and snack while we waited because a 3 hr flight became 5.

We still could have made the Norwegian flight if they had allowed us to ticket the segment from Newark to Barcelona in Denver. We tried, knowing the connection was going to be tight, to no avail.

Ulemper: Food/drinks are overpriced. Seats are too small. There’s no entertainment for long haul flights. Water isn’t even served. The front desk was very dismissive of any customer service when our plane was late.
Fordele: After flying Icelandair which makes you pay for food and drinks on flights, this airline gave us a meal on a <2 hour flight. The flight attendants then wandered up and down the aisle with coffee and tea.
