Ulemper: "We were supposed to fly back to Los Angeles from Tokyo on Wednesday, August 24th. We got to Tokyo Narita a little later than planned due to the Narita Express train being delayed. I had received emails that our flight had changed gates, and was then delayed, but when my sister and I went to check into our flight, we were told we were unable to board because it was too late. I thought it was absurd because the flight had not even started boarding, and I had gotten an email saying it was delayed. We tried to reason with them, but they would not let us on the flight. It was imperative that we got back to Los Angeles on Wednesday, but all our plans were ruined due to them bumping us off the flight. My sister had a connecting flight to Boston, which she then had to reschedule and was charged for. We were stuck another night in Tokyo, where we had to spend money on a hotel. The Singapore Airlines attendants eventually informed us that we could get on a flight the next day. This delayed us by 24 hours, which was highly inconvenient. It was also especially unnecessary since due to the flight being delayed, we would have absolutely been able to make it. I do not appreciate being bumped off of a flight due to airlines wanting to make more money, especially being stuck overseas. Its not like it was a domestic flight where we could just hop on another one in the next few hours, this totally derailed all of our plans. I do not appreciate the inflexibility of the Singapore Airlines agents, and this is not an experience that makes me want to recommend flying with Singapore Airlines. I appreciate that they did not charge us, however it was a major inconvenience that could have simply been avoided by better customer service and understanding."

Ulemper: "Biggest problem was late arrival, missing connection. Lateness caused by them at first, then a departing passenger caused further delay. But they were late to begin with. Next problem was their REFUSAL to give me an aisle seat. I reserved an aisle seat originally, aisle seats were available when I tried to change, but agent REFUSED to accommodate me with either aisle or window. Sat in middle with huge guy next to me. Very uncomfortable. Food was mediocre on this leg. Oh, and late departing AGAIN. Will seriously look for other options on next trip."

Fordele: "Video on Demand at each seat in coach. Friendly staff. Also patient staff, what with the languages they have to cover with each flight. The airline goes everywhere so it’s impossible to say what anyone will be speaking."

Fordele: "The visit to the lounge is always refreshing. The service at the shower area is great however policing of people using phones in the quiet zone should be enforced"
Ulemper: "The good got used a bus gate which is acceptable however this typically takes additional time if there is a connection flight"

Fordele: "The flight attendants were very friendly. On the flight, snacks and drinks were bright by every hour or so and the meals were plenty of food and tasted good. I was given a bag with eye cover, earplugs, socks, face wipes and ear phones. Entertainment was good as well. Qatar is an amazing airline. Wish we had something like this in the States!"

They just don't want to wait in.line. Handicapped should have wheelchairs but once they have them they should wait like everyone.else"

Ulemper: "6 hour delay with no explanation. No apology. Stuck in transit with nothing to do. Not impressed at all. Boarding also delayed. Food on this flight was very poor."

Fordele: "Overall, an excellent short flight. I was flying with oversize luggage (bicycle), which is offer a hassle. The ticket agent took care of it without issue, and it arrived safely. Food was OK. I would try Qatar for a long flight if the opportunity arises."

Fordele: "Top notch service by Qatar airline. They accommodated us. We don't eat beef or chicken and didn't know you could request vegetarian online before flight. They found a fish meal and informed us to apply for meal online."

Ulemper: "When it was time to leave Doha, Qatar there was a massive delay which caused us to be late for any upcoming transfer in BKK. That told me that my would be delivered the next day. I am currently trying to figure out whether they have my bags or not."

Ulemper: "Being seated 5 rows and a bulk head away from my wife. Configuration of Two class A380 business class is at the back of the plane with all that increased movement and you have to wait for economy to exit before you can get off. Your diluting the benefits guys for economy profits."

Fordele: "Love the A380 - the sheer size of it allowed for more personal space. Consequently, it was a much more comfortable flight."

Ulemper: "The fact that this was the shortest flight of my trip - Wish my journey started this way."

Fordele: "After our trip from Cape Town to Dubai with Emirates which was not that great we where pleasantly surprised when we where bumped up to business class from Dubai to Bangkok. We did not expect this. Although we did not take advantage of all the extras business class has to offer we had a great nights sleep and the breakfast was superb. The cabin crew was excellent all the time. Thank you Emirates."

Fordele: "Attentive crew (Busines cabin was near empty). Highlights the deficit caused by large occupancy A380 Business cabin. A380 business cabin has been economy classed to within an inch of its life, too few crew and those that are on duty disorganised and stressed. 777 crew ratio was 3 crew to 1 pax :)"
Ulemper: "Engine noise. Boarding in Dubai was a farce as called to gate even though aircraft was severely delayed inbound. Surly lounge staff didn’t help. Business Class gate desk ‘closed’ even though staffed as person was busy on the phone. Weird 2 - 3 - 2 layout means window and centre seats have to clamber over reclined neighbours. Seat width better than A380 and also less tomb like when reclined to nearly flat bed."

Fordele: "First time flying Emirates. Friendly and attentive staff. Flew on schedule. Comfortable seats. Nice food and clean restrooms."

Ulemper: "The connection in Dubai was horrible. The 30 minute bus ride is so ridiculous. It's very difficult to even find the Business Class Lounge. No greeters. No signage. Terrible service. Even pajamas are not provided in Business Class --- unlike on Qatar Airways."

Fordele: "The plane was very comfortable and I had plenty of space for not only myself, but my carry on luggage. I only brought carry ons so I wasn't sure if I would be able to place my bags above where I sat and if there would be enough space. There was."
Ulemper: "The boarding process was a bit confusing. It all seemed to happen really quickly. Suddenly it felt like everyone was allowed on the plane which confused me. But in hindsight, I think this was for the best because the boarding process was pretty speedy which impressed me."

Ulemper: "Too cold!!!! When asked for a blanket, crew members gave excuses to why blankets are not available; however, other passengers had multiple blankets. Due to the unorganization of the crew, I had to keep paging for attendent only to be forgotten again. Boarding was not controlled. Passengers gathered around boarding attendant which made getting through zones frustrating. For the amount of money paid, I was hoping for a much better flight."

Ulemper: "No Emirate staff presented to due with the 20+ hours delay. Just sent their representatives who are not powerful to make decisions and at the end we have many questions not answered. Eg. Any earlier reconnect flights? Any alternative airlines? What is the checkout time of the compensation hotel? Any meal compensation if not staying at their hotel? Etc."

Ulemper: "The ending of the Steve Jobs movie was a little pat."

Ulemper: "There was a delay due to technical issues. They had to switch planes, which took a couple hours. But they gave us a free meal at the airport, while we waited. Unfortunately, they immediately fed us lunch after we took off, so it was two quick meals. I guess it is better than too little food."

Fordele: "The plane was pretty cool. I like the fact that the overhead compartments had enough room. The staff was friendly, too. The piece of chocolate is very tasty."
Ulemper: "Food on those airplanes is always bad. There were not enough chicken sandwiches and some passengers only were given cheese sandwiches."

Ulemper: "Guy behind me kept asking for a seat upgrade and when they didn’t oblige spent the whole 11hours kicking the back of my chair in protest. I understand this isn’t the crews’ fault. But maybe the bid upgrade for seats isn’t the best system?"

Fordele: "We left on time, arrived on time. Flight went well despite lasting over 10h30"
Ulemper: "Two of the flight attrendants in our area were in a bad mood and it showed."

Fordele: "I treated myself to Swiss Business (for a second time) for this trip and it was terrific. From the comfortable seats, the fabulous dinner, the outstanding Swiss staff from the baggage check to the wonderful flight attendants, the flight to Zürich and the return trip to Boston was amazing! I cannot say enough good things about Swiss. I would love to be able to fly Swiss Business again when I travel to Zürich in September 2019."

Ulemper: "No leg room very uncomfortable"

Fordele: "Both times I flew with Swiss airlines it’s been great! Food is pletntiful, staff is very kind."

I have to go shopping for 3 days and spend my time on vacation, buying the necessary things, those that are necessary for recreation. I lost three days of rest. Fordele: "The head fligh attendant was very nice and welcoming and informative she personally took care of our carry on to put in the check in..."
Ulemper: "I was not able to buy from the duty free discounted offers on the plane. The discounted shopping panflet was not on my LA/Zurich flight.... so I didn't see it and did not buy then.... And on my second part of the trip Zurich/Nice they refused to sell me to me from the Duty Free because they didn't have time..... :( The dark hair flight attendant in the back of that plane was not informative or nice....I had to talk to the head flight attendant in the front of the plane, she was more professional! Other than that everything was good!"

Fordele: "Crew was always ready to help. It was a very smooth flight."
Ulemper: "I wish we could start watching the movies earlier and wish there was more selection for good movies. Flight was delayed but we knew that. I prefer that it‘s safe."

Fordele: "Easy, quiet boarding and flight, USB port available, audio and sound were working, nice movie selection. Friendly and helpful crew, assisted with cough crisis"
Ulemper: "Seats from JFK to Zurich were a little bit squeezed."

Ulemper: "bought a seat reservation in premium economy and was the last group to board. No extra leg room in "premium" economy."

Fordele: "flight left on time as schedule and the flight staff was absolutely courteous."

Ulemper: "My Swiss flight to JFK was cancelled before 24 hours without explaining the reason. They should explain the reason at least. I had to take an another flight and arrived at JFK after 6 hours from the original flight. My trip was totally messed up, so I was not happy at all."

Ulemper: "my ticket was changed and messed up and could be due to language and understanding, I ran a lot to get to my flight and had to go back and forth between the check in line and ground force and wait out of line until a resolution was found."

Ulemper: "Food was poor, really poor, no options for the children Headphone socket in the seat"

Fordele: "The fights themselves were nice, the crew was pleasant and the dinner itself was a very nice surprise"
Ulemper: "Wow what a cramped space- the minute the person leaned their seat back I had no room and I'm a fairly small pElson. The seat in front of me was almost literally in my lap I couldn't open my tray on their seat back unless they sat up to eat"

Ulemper: "Movie selection not that great! Also the touch screens were taking for ever to process the comments. I would click play and it would rewind or next and nothing would happen. A330-300 is a new plane and I was just expecting better entertainment system."

Ulemper: "I had such a miserable experience getting to Florence on Swiss Air that I sent a letter of complaint WHILE ON VACATION!! Really. It was a nightmare... not the way you want to start a vacation. I had difficulty booking my daughter's seat online for the return, but didn't have access to phone service while abroad. In my complaint letter to Swiss Air I requested they place us together. I never got a response and upon check in, they had my son and me in our purchased seats and my daughter at the back of the plane. I asked them if they could do anything about it (I was even willing to give up my seats to move to the back...) yet no one seemed concerned or interested in helping to make this work. They also had no knowledge of my complaint or appeared concerned about my prior experience. I'm so over Swiss Air. My experience with the employees on the phone prior to my first departure, the lack of response to my email, and a disinterested and inattentive staff on my return, have all convinced me to choose a different airline next time."

Fordele: "the entertainment selection was above an beyond."
Ulemper: "The food was really not great. The meals were tiny and low quality. I understand there are restrictions when on an aircraft, but the meals were the size of snacks and not understanding of allergies at all. (Ie, cheese was on everything.)"

Ulemper: "Terrible plane ; no room , the most miserable flight we have ever been on"

Ulemper: "the new Boeing 777 is horrible... no space and small seats >> my feet were swollen, everything hurts the inflight- entertainment is integrated in the front seat, you can`t change screen if you are blinded as i wrote to the service center to change the seats (july 21st) i still have no answer on my mail.... service???? no more again..."

Ulemper: "The handle of the pull-stick that slides into the suitcase was broken off with the pull-stick sticking out of the TUMI suitcase. Used a pen point to release it and get it back into the suitcase. No handle so it was impossible to drag the suitcase. The ground personnel representing Swiss Air at the Boston Baggage carousel was a novice, had never filled out a baggage claim form before. Told me they would phone me. I am a bit skeptical about this claim. Not sure if it was Swiss Air of the local ground personnel who damaged the suitcase."

Fordele: "Crew was excellent, and the food was both ample and appetizing."
Ulemper: "The boarding process is a little chaotic for the economy cabin since there is no distinctions by zone or seat row. The result is a bit of a surge when they first announce the boarding of the cabin."

Fordele: "Flight attendants were friendly, and also very skilled so that their service was unobtrusive, graceful, and helpful. They took great care to get people what they wanted, and I saw them fulfill a few special requests from the people around me politely and quickly. The entertainment selections were good. The variety of interesting musical selections allowed me to go the whole flight without running down the battery on any of my own musical devices. The seat space was comfortable, especially compared to domestic flights I've taken for the last 10 years. The enforcement of carry-on luggage rules meant the overhead compartments were sufficient for what was brought aboard and people weren't filling the foot-space with bags."

Ulemper: "Unrelated to the flight, the ground handling staff at Istanbul airport, especially the information desk, should be given a crash course in customer care."

Ulemper: "I will never forget Turkish airlines again. They stole our money. We were at our flight on time but they wouldn't let us board. They then said we were no shows and cancelled all our remaining flights with no refund. This ended up costing us around $3000. We don't have this kind of money and I don't know how we will pay rent next month."

Ulemper: "Food. Lack of vegetarian options in 2nd leg."

Fordele: "I like that the FAs gave us all the things needed for a comfortable flight...thanks."
Ulemper: "Flight from Copanhagen to Istanbul was delayed for an hour...computer malfunction was the reason. I was a little bit stressed because I had a connecting flight to Manila, was afraid i wouldn't make it. And also, no gate assignment yet for Istanbul to Manila. Since it was my first time to travel via Turkish Airline, not familiar with Istanbul airport."

Fordele: "Istanbul Airport has good facilities and F&B options"
Ulemper: "Flight from Istanbul to Bangkok was delayed for 3.5 hours with no apology and no compensatory measures such as drinks and food or lounge access Power outlets in Istanbul airport are all round plug European with no USB terminals for phone recharging"

Fordele: "Long time n not in time Food is not enough quality n quantity for health"
Ulemper: "Must change catering n in time , Staff working in the airport is not pro enough"

Ulemper: "They cancelled my returning flight WITHOUT me knowing and expecting me to pay for the penalty fee for misisng the first flight even tho I DID not cancel the returning flight which obviously I was gonna take. The staff was RUDE and INSENSITIVE. Qatar was better in overall customer service. Worst customer service from Turkish airline."

Fordele: "Turkish Airlines er normalt, som samlet pakke min favorit, men når indtjekning vælger at sætte 2 voksne mænd på sæder ved nødudgangen der kun er ca. 75% i størrelse af normle (små) sæder, så er 3½ time til Istanbul en lang sammenklemt oplevelse."

Ulemper: "No real boarding procedure followed, perhaps they do this with “certain” destinations they believe are not worth it. When asked why they didnt properly board us, or actually mae people sot on their assigned seats, they shoved me aside. Pretty rude (and im an elite plus traveler with them). I will avoid TKY from now on."

Ulemper: "Seating in Economy class is terrible. For tall persons like me it is a punshment to be squeazed in such a narrow space. Turkish airlines should add more space and comfort with their seating in Economy. Introduce a Premium Economy Class would solve that problem"

Ulemper: "No space"

Ulemper: "We had to spend the night in Istanbul and get only on the next flight the following morning. TK airport (ground) staff that talked to us was antipathetic and it took ages to get any service. Looks like they didn't care we about the delay, nor they were trying to help us. Just kept saying we need to wait."

Fordele: "Everything was exellent"
Ulemper: "Nothing"

Fordele: "Food's always good and the staff friendly"
Ulemper: "The sound on the entertainment system is not good...it used to be good but not anymore"

Ulemper: "Not enough legroom. No need at all for those foot rests."

Fordele: "Good entertainment system with lots of options."
Ulemper: "The plane was uncomfortably warm throughout the (long!) flight, which made it difficult to get any rest."

Fordele: "Great food! Loved that you get a menu to choose from"
Ulemper: "We were not asked or given the option to choose our seats on the plane."

Fordele: "Great comfy seats, coffee, and snack for just a 2hr flight. Happy it was vegetarian!"

Ulemper: "I will never use Turkish airlines again."

Fordele: "Nothing."
Ulemper: "The fact that I missed my connection flight in Thailand because of a two hour delay. I was never informed why there was so much of a delay and in turn I had to pay triple of what I payed before for my flight. Very disappointed. Won't be flying this airline again. Service was rude. They should be more responsible when it comes to timing. We were on the flight waiting for two hours!!!"

Fordele: "Great crew. Super nice to our 4 year old daughter. They were quick, extra polite and efficient. I'm usually quite picky but this leg was perfect."
Ulemper: "It was all good(which I rarely get to say these days on any carrier)"

Fordele: "We arrived safely and on time"
Ulemper: "The seat spacing on that flight was some of the tightest I have ever seen - worse than even most of the short-haul (Embraer) flights i have been on - barely manageable for 3.5 hours. Flight attendants were borderline rude and bossy, but they had to be, because the passengers were loud and unruly."

Ulemper: "Why does Turkish Air boarding always have to be so chaotic - pushing and shoving, etc. Why cant TK control their business class space - people from economy always coming up for bathrooms when there are plenty in the back....."

Ulemper: "Old plane with questionable food, only few movies. Not impressed and considering not using TA again"

Fordele: "Better food and service than other airlines on which I've traveled recently. Loading passengers was disciplined and speedy. Staff very helpful. Istanbul airport is great for a long wait. If you go to a gate waiting area with no flight soon, you can stretch out and sleep. Good English-language bookstore."

Fordele: "Everyone was very welcoming and attentive to everything I needed during my flight."

Ulemper: "We were in the plane over Istanbul airport for more than half an hour because we did not have the permission to land. That put a lot a pressure on us because we had less than 20 minutes to catch our connecting flight to US."

Ulemper: "The airplane was a really warm temperature when we boarded."

Ulemper: "They cancelled my flight days before leaving the country or origin, leaving me incredibly inconvenienced."

Fordele: "There was upgrade special on our outbound flight at check in which we took advantage of so we were in business class flight from SFO to Istanbul. That was awesome experience - very comfortable fully reclining seats, gourmet food and drinks, impeccable service, wide entertainment selection, etc. Even on the shorter leg flights we took (i.e. Istanbul to Rome and Dubrovnik to Istanbul) they served food (light snack). We flew economy from Istanbul back to SFO but got exit row seats so plenty of leg room and seats reclined good amount. Again, great service, food and entertainment. All the flights we had on our itinerary were newer planes. Turkish Airlines is so much better than American airlines!"
