Ulemper: "Ran out of options for dinner and could not eat the macaroni cheese they had on offer, so got 2 small packets of nuts instead...international flight running out of food options? Pretty slack. A part of the interior wall fell off onto my foot upon take off and I had to hold it in place for a while until a hostess came....doesn’t give you the best feeling when the plane starts breaking on take off. One of the male stewards was appalling towards a young mum I sat next too...too the extent of giving her dirty looks because she spilled a bit of water on the seat and then told her she had to pack everything away she was using, including the baby wipes! I stepped in and told him how this was not ok and all other staff members were helpful and he was making this Mum upset. He should not be working for such a people friendly reputable airline! Maybe Jetstar instead! Was appalled at the entire flight to be honest!"

Fordele: "Excellent seat and pillow cushion... The krisworld in-flight entertainment was extremely easy to use while still having a wide selection of films. The touchscreen was also very simple and did t require a great deal of force to press a button...the steamed towel given before take off was extremely relaxing and set a high standard of expectations during this flight. Almost all of the those expectations were met. The toilets were extremely clean and the service of toothbrushes was the icing on the cake. For my meal I ordered Indian fish curry which could have been a little more spicy (I am Indian so I eat foods with many spices)."
Ulemper: "I would have liked a wider selection of foods in the menu.. Limited options. Also, I had a 11:45 AM flight from BOM-SIN which was supposed to start boarding at 10:45, but instead we started boarding at 11:30 and took off at 12:10."

Fordele: "The aircraft was clean, new, spacious and quiet. The bathrooms were regularly maintained. The food quality, selection and quantity was excellent for the economy class. Even the serving utensils were solid metal and had a very high quality feel to it. Having an endless supply of mid flight snacks was also appreciatd I always like the warm wet towels, which were offered at take off and landing. The entertainment choices were endless, but because it had USB and regular power, I was able to work on my laptop and listen to my podcasts on phone without worrying about running out of battery."
Ulemper: "The crew lacked its usual pep and cheer. For some reason they seemed very introverted and tired. First time on Singapore Airline that I noticed. The amenities kit was a bit on the cheap side. Also, only the supplied two prong headphones could be used with the entertainment system, I would have preferred an option to use my high end ones -- this was the main reason I chose to just work and listen to my own music/podcasts instead of watching a movie. We boarded and disembarked through the business sections and the aisles were too narrow. The announcements were hard to hear and the temperature was set too low for half of the flight (to kept fluctuating requiring constant adjustment of blanket/jacket). Having said that will keep flying them."

Fordele: "Getting up at 4am on a Monday (post Singapore 7s) - couldn't have been a better timing for a free upgrade (as the plane was full). Travelling on Singapore Air is always a pleasure - but that made it even better....."

Ulemper: "The seats barely recline backward which really meant I was basically upright trying to sleep for 14 hours on one leg and 6 hours on the next. My luggage was lost, despite being promised it would be delivered that day I had to wait 24 hours."

Fordele: "The crew was attentive and polite. The flights were on time, and the entertainment options were good. The Doha airport is quite nice, with many eating and retail options. although everything is very expensive, even by airport standards."
Ulemper: "My wife and I personally don't mind a selection that leans heavily toward Indian food, but I imagine others will not. The main courses were mediocre and the "sandwich" offered between meals on the 13+ hour flight was cold, soggy and inedible. The seats on our A350 were hard and not very comfortable, and the recline function was difficult to operate. Security at the Doha airport was confusing. We had to go through 3 separate checkpoints for our transfer, each with different rules and procedures. The final check at our departure gate was the worst, with impatient officials giving hurried instructions in heavily-accented English, and scolding if passengers didn't understand. I was sent back through a second time to remove my camera from the bag (and to be scolded by the agent), and was patted down a second time coming back through the x-ray, which had green-lighted me both times. It made me wonder if this was a reaction to the extra scrutiny that Arab passengers receive from our airport security in the USA."

Ulemper: "No European movies in English at all, very disappointing for someone who is not into latest Hollywood ( silly) movies and doesn’t want to watch Bollywood or Chinese ones(( The “ dinner” food was barely edible, both from Singapore to Doha and from Copenhagen to Doha."

Fordele: "I appreciated the friendly and always service minded staff. The plane was clean and I enjoyed good leg room. I was happy with the menus and the film selection was entertaining and current. All over a great experience and I would not hesitate to choose Qatar again."

Ulemper: "Ugh, The seat in front of me had some box taking up 1/4 of my leg-room. I get that the box probably contains some crucial equipment, but can you at least round the edges so I can lay my leg against it without cutting off my circulation to my foot? Other than that, typical Qatar luxury (as much as you're gonna find in coach)."

Ulemper: "Although the loading Zone was given as Zone 1, boarding was chaotic because the fround crew was incredibly inefficient. The announcement was totally mumbled and badly managed, Why cant the boarding at Cochin be organised like queues for each zone so that the passengers do not crowd in a mad rush near the gate as if the fliht will leave without them. As in Doha have different seating area for different zones and the ground crew should be trained to be firm to allow only passengers with boarding."

Fordele: "This review is for return travel from ATL to MAA (Chennai, India) and back. Route: ATL-DOH: about 14.5 hrs; DOH-MAA: about 4.5 hrs; Likes: 1. Baggage check-in process was simple and easy. 2. Meal preferences was good - I'm a vegetarian and on the onward journey forgot to specify the meal preference but the crew had enough inventory to meat the requirements. 3. Every seat was provided with a small plastic pouch/packet/goodie bag that consisted of a eye mask (very thoughtful), pair of sock, toothpaste+brush (very thoughtful), hand cream. This was very useful and effective. 4. Entertainment - options were good and current."
Ulemper: "Dislikes: 1. Online check-in wasnt easy; towards the end of the process, there is an option to email the boarding pass but this never worked. Not sure if this is something to do with the browser (tried with Firefox, Opera) 2. It would have been good, as part of the online check-in, if the users reminded to specify the meal preferences, etc. I forgot to specify the meal preferences but thankfully the crew had enough of what I wanted. 3. Take a relook at the packaging of the toothpaste tube in the goodie bag. It was sealed in such a way that it was difficult to open it w/o a sharp object. This should have been easier. 4. Seats were the worst part - poor legroom. Worst, the seat cushion is the worst. I think it was just a fabric over a metal seat with minimalist of cushion. ATL to DOH leg was the worst (and the longest leg of the trip). Unless you have open seats next to you it would be a back breaking and painful trip. Seat comfort wise, I would rate Qatar as the worst. Luckily on the return leg (DOH-ATL) next two seats to mine was empty, so was able to stretch and sleep well. DOH-MAA or MAA-DOH seating was little better (think its a older plane; newer planes have worst seats) 5. The website was damn slow while accessing from overseas. Even in the US, at times the website hangs-up, freezes or spins often. 6. Food was ok -dinner and lunch but minimalistic; I didnt see any specific breakfast menu or any coffee served separately (was part of beverage option during lunch or dinner) 7. There was no alert, communication, notification, reminder of upcoming trip via email or text, etc. Many airlines does this very often but Qatar was totally silent on it (they did have my email during checkin). Not sure why."

Fordele: "The lack of passengers on this flight gave me an amazing amount of room. Really makes the flights enjoyable when I can spread out."
Ulemper: "The food could use some work. The quantities are perfect. But the quality is definitely lacking"

Fordele: "If we had arrived on time everything would have been perfect. However I did not arrive in Johannesburg because a flight delay (even though our flight was set to let ontime) caused probably 40 people to miss their connections. To their credit, Qatar Airways did find accommodations for us and gave us food vouchers. Otherwise it'd be a zero rating."
Ulemper: "Boarding took far too long and caused us to be an hour late. Because of this, I am missing out on events scheduled in South Africa. This is very upsetting and it appears that Qatar Airways is too slow with boarding, there was no explanation given for why it took so incredibly long to board."

Ulemper: "We landed 30 minutes late, with no explanation - even though we took off on time. Even with a short dog leg over Iran, we should have been able to make up any delay over an 8 hour flight"

Ulemper: "You canceled our flight in the last minute. we were starting our holidays and missed one day included the booking reservation. We didn't get any refund regarding this issue. On the other hand, i booked my special meal and never received it."

Ulemper: "No consistency with hand luggage. My companions and I were held to strict weight limits. Others were getting on with three and four bags."

Ulemper: "Only 1 meal on a six hr flight was stingy. - not even snacks. Unfriendly staff. No opportunity to choose seats despite checking in online the day before - we were allocated 2 adjacent seats but there were none others shown as available on the entire aircraft."

Ulemper: "Coach seating on the plane from Nairobi to Qatar, for 5+ hour flight, very tight and cramped. Coach seating on flight from Qatar to NY was slightly bigger but not as spacious as coach seating on China Southern."

Ulemper: "there were many who were selected for extra screening (code SSS) this process added a great amount of confusion (without any communication) we were screened and put in an isolation area where we were not allowed to leave or use a bathroom. We were there for over one hour. at one point, we were moving into a long tube like structure where we stayed for at least 30 minutes while others were boarding from an different ramp. the communication was non existent and we were made to feel like prisoners. actually, we were prisoners."

Ulemper: "The touch screens were hanging making it difficult to watch movies. Also they served a lot of booze to people and one of my neighbours vomited in arrival. It was a mess"

Fordele: "The FA that served my part of the cabin was polite, friendly, and cheerful."
Ulemper: "I had one piece of hand carried bag from when I boarded on the DC to Dubai leg. On this Dubai to Manila leg I was shocked to discover that the ground crew wanted all hand carried items weighed, and I mean ALL including things like travel pillows and duty free items. I was made to pay $88 for excess weight on the exact same bag I had with me on the first leg. Worse, the (I'm guessing) head of the ground crew gave random exceptions (for example someone had a thick copy of the Koran and some other item that were not weighed). My excess weight probably weighed less than that book. Many passengers ended up returning purchased duty free items and some even abandoned their bags. Upon getting past the initial gate the passengers were ferried by BUS to the plane. The bus ride took forever and of course, in the heat of the Dubai sun, the passengers were made to climb stairs carrying their "overweight" bags to board the plain."

Fordele: "Except the seats satisfied overall."
Ulemper: "We have booked two tickets separately. One for me and the other for my wife and kid. But we were travelling together. When we checkin, we told we need the seats together. But, they did not give the seat together."

Fordele: "I liked watching movies and drinking wine and the food was decent."
Ulemper: "We took off over an hour late with no communication as to why we were sitting on the runway. Most of the crew seemed annoyed and short with everyone."

Fordele: "Very courteous flight attendants. I liked the fact that they came from several countries and looked like a strong, united team. I also enjoyed the great selection of movies, music, news, and TV shows. The space between the chairs is more generous than other airlines I used in the past."
Ulemper: "There was a long line for boarding in Entebbe and very few staff attending the process. I did not have access to online checking, although I received the message that I can do it online. Horrible scramble eggs. I could not eat it."

Ulemper: "Bought tickets on Malaysian Airlines quota/allocation but was turned away by Malaysian Airlines counter becausw its operated by Emirates. Im a silver card holder on Oneworld ao I wanted to have less queue by using Silver card privileges at Malaysian Airlines counter but was not accepted. Had to go onlong queue at Emirates in KLIA but it was fast."

Fordele: "I liked how friendly the staff was and that they do not nickle and dime you for everything."
Ulemper: "The lack of legroom in Economy."

Ulemper: "The changes of the airplane"

Fordele: "Emirates has a great reputation, and now I've experienced first hand why that is! Great (complimentary!) food and beverages, clean comfortable seats, generous luggage policies, and impressive customer service. The crew on our flight represented 19 different countries and spoke a total of 19 different different languages. The woman ahead of me was very unpleasant about her screen not working, and every attendant she spoke to was infinitely polite and pleasant. They tried to reset her screen, and eventually found an empty seat and moved her to first class!"
Ulemper: "Only that I can't take an Emirates airbus for all of my flights! I was detained for awhile during boarding because I was chosen to have my carry-on bag checked, and it took awhile because I had filled a water bottle after passing through security and it took some discussion before being approved (my husband didn't know where I was and had already boarded and was worried)."

Ulemper: "Food menu must change. Vegetarian Indian food menu is boring."

Fordele: "The plane was very comfortable and I had plenty of space for not only myself, but my carry on luggage. I only brought carry ons so I wasn't sure if I would be able to place my bags above where I sat and if there would be enough space. There was."
Ulemper: "The boarding process was a bit confusing. It all seemed to happen really quickly. Suddenly it felt like everyone was allowed on the plane which confused me. But in hindsight, I think this was for the best because the boarding process was pretty speedy which impressed me."

Ulemper: "The company cancelled my flight and threatened to recharge for the seats. Had to plead to keep the flight I PAID for. Unbelievable and I will not be booking again with either company or agency in the future."

But how ever the seats on their A330 was average. But otherwise all was good. I would recommend Cathay."
Ulemper: "The food was very small portion and average in taste. The crew took a wile to take the trays and clear after all ate."

Fordele: "Cathy Pacific is always in the top 10 airlines of the world for a reason. The staff and service are top of class."

Ulemper: "For two hours flight food was adequate"

Fordele: "I guess I can't expect much from what seems to be a low budget airline. The food was OK and the movie selection was excellent. I didn't have any issues with boarding or baggage check in. There was a mix of good and bad flight staff. Sadly, the staff in bad moods were servicing me."
Ulemper: "The bad mood in-flight staff and the uncomfortable seats. During boarding, I asked one of the staff if I can have a window seat because I have motion sickness and aisle seats make me feel ill. She looked at me flustered and said all seats are booked and that I'll be Ok with the aisle seat. On a different CP flight, a different staff was helping a couple switch with other passengers so they can sit next to each other. That would have been nice if they did that for me when I asked for a window seat."

Fordele: "Kind staff, decent food"
Ulemper: "Ridiculous baggage policy! Only 30 kg total baggage allowance when ALL OTHER AIRLINES ALLOW AT LEAST 40KG, AND MOST ALLOW 46KG! WHY IS CATHAY SO STINGY?!"

Fordele: "Big thanks to the ground and flight crew of Cathat Paciic Cx 899!!! My parents flew Dec 3rd from EWR and they had an amazing experience! My dad has to be on a wheelchair and needs assistance and Cathay made sure my parents were well-assisted and comfy on the entire flight. They went above and beyond expectations!!!"

Fordele: "Entertainment system worked fine."
Ulemper: "Economy class cabin is chaotic. Food is mediocre."

Fordele: "My husband fainted twice and they are so nice to accommodate my husband to the first class section so he can rest and sleep well! Amazing crew and I thank each and every one of them for their concerns and kind heart!"

Fordele: "All the Cathay staff members I dealt with were great! At the airport they were very helpful in getting me onto another flight, as my flight had been delayed, which in turn would make me miss my second flight. All the cabin crews were very friendly. I think that the people that work for Cathay make up for a lot of what Cathay lacks in other aspects."
Ulemper: "There was not enough information about the flight delays and the causes for these delays. It was a little stressful and rushed as my layover in HK was quite short. The boarding process could be a lot better if people were boarded according to rows. Food on most Cathay flights in general was pretty disappointing. It would also be great to have wi-fi on the flights. Especially considering how long some of the flights can be."

Ulemper: "The only issue was 30 minutes waiting in HK to take off and 30 mins circling Manila waiting to land....... both of which were neither an issue with CP."

Ulemper: "Entertainment system is a little bit outdated. Not as good as was on the other flight where you can search for movies by keyword."

Fordele: "entertainment was more than sufficient and was adequately nourished for a long flight"

Ulemper: "Food. Need veggies"

Fordele: "The check in staff were only doing their job, by insisting that I had an onward ticket before they checked me in, as per Thai immigration ruling. Otherwise, if I did not have an onward ticket, they stated they could not check me in, and would refund my ticket. The problem is there are many ways of travelling out of Thailand, and I frequently visit Cambodia and Thailand via bus. How could I produce a bus ticket which I usually buy only a week before departure?"
Ulemper: "That was a bit of a rude shock, as I had never encountered such obstacles before, and most fortunately I did indeed have a reservation for a BKK-GVA ticket, or I would have been refused boarding. Apparently the Thai immigration authorities have a condition for Swiss citizens to possess an onward ticket before they can enter Thailand, but this is the first time an airline has applied this as strictly, and has been as insistent, as Cathay Pacific. I have been in & out of BKK hundreds of times, and this is the first time ever an airline has applied this rule to the letter. So, bottom line, never again will I fly Cathay Pacific."

Fordele: "I liked the crews the food just ok. It was a long flight,my back was uncomfortable."

Fordele: "For the 15 hour flight from Hong Kong, they served two meals and put out snacks and drinks in the galleys in the interim. The dinner was pretty decent, and they gave a small bottle of water along with Hagen Daz ice cream. The seats reclined pretty well for economy class (the bottom of the seat shifted too, which was unexpected). Power outlets at every seat and an extensive entertainment system with movies from Eastern and Western culture."
Ulemper: "Breakfast was eggs and some nasty looking sausage, neither of which I ate."

Fordele: "Excellent job with the aircraft"

Fordele: "The pilot kept us informed. The food was good. The Moon Cake provided to help us celebrate, even though we were traveling, was an added example of why Cathay Pacific is the standard that everyone else is trying to emulate in Tourist class. The L.A.-based cabin crew provided outstanding service throughout the flight. The in-flight service manager made me believe she cared about the quality of the service in the back, which was outstanding. It was as good as a full, 13-hour flight could be. Even the in-seat entertainment was outstanding and reliable."
Ulemper: "The boarding process in Hong Kong was terrible. It was absolute chaos. If it had not been for then complete turn around after we were on the plane, it would have been the beginning of the flight from hell."

Fordele: "Great service."
Ulemper: "Nothing to complain about."

Fordele: "Very nice crew. Helpful and kind."
Ulemper: "No sound system on my screen. The crew were wonderful trying to fix it but it was broken. Pee all over restroom floor."

Ulemper: "48 hr preboarding online checkin is nonexistent. Error messages via link."

Ulemper: "Flight delayed in take off twice. Then diverted via Manila. Not ideal."

Ulemper: "The customs process takes too long to make domestic flights in time. I ended up missing my connection to Antayla because the customs line was too long, so I was re-booked for a later flight departing 7+ hours later. I think in the future kayak needs to ensure at least 2 hours for a connecting flight"

Fordele: "Great food. Great seats. Great stuff. Great plane and the landing did not feel st all! Definitely am happy!"

Ulemper: "Rude crew.. i am elite plus ..i can only imagine how they treat people with no status"

Fordele: "Stewardess were very friendly and helpful, the food was reallz delicious. You have enough space for your leg even on Economy class."

Ulemper: "Turkish Airline lost one of my checked in bag! Never found it!"

Fordele: "I like that the FAs gave us all the things needed for a comfortable flight...thanks."
Ulemper: "Flight from Copanhagen to Istanbul was delayed for an hour...computer malfunction was the reason. I was a little bit stressed because I had a connecting flight to Manila, was afraid i wouldn't make it. And also, no gate assignment yet for Istanbul to Manila. Since it was my first time to travel via Turkish Airline, not familiar with Istanbul airport."

Fordele: "Long time n not in time Food is not enough quality n quantity for health"
Ulemper: "Must change catering n in time , Staff working in the airport is not pro enough"

Fordele: "I really liked the selection of food, beverages, and movies"
Ulemper: "Economy is SO cramped for such a long flight."

Ulemper: "They cancelled my returning flight WITHOUT me knowing and expecting me to pay for the penalty fee for misisng the first flight even tho I DID not cancel the returning flight which obviously I was gonna take. The staff was RUDE and INSENSITIVE. Qatar was better in overall customer service. Worst customer service from Turkish airline."

Fordele: "Turkish Airlines er normalt, som samlet pakke min favorit, men når indtjekning vælger at sætte 2 voksne mænd på sæder ved nødudgangen der kun er ca. 75% i størrelse af normle (små) sæder, så er 3½ time til Istanbul en lang sammenklemt oplevelse."

TK airport (ground) staff that talked to us was antipathetic and it took ages to get any service. Looks like they didn't care we about the delay, nor they were trying to help us. Just kept saying we need to wait."

Ulemper: "The seat spacing on that flight was some of the tightest I have ever seen - worse than even most of the short-haul (Embraer) flights i have been on - barely manageable for 3.5 hours. Flight attendants were borderline rude and bossy, but they had to be, because the passengers were loud and unruly."

Ulemper: "Old plane with questionable food, only few movies. Not impressed and considering not using TA again"

Ulemper: "Flight was canceled. The disorganization and misinformation was unprecedented. I have been traveling for 30 years and tried almost all airlines, but the Turkish Airline office at Cairo Airport ranked the poorest I have ever seen. The disorganization was as if they do not know what to do. First they said the plane arrived late, then they said there was a bird hitting the engine. The excuses were so laughable beyond belief."

Fordele: "It is very hard to separate the hassle of air travel from the airlines so the size of your seat and the many security checks that infuence our opinion are beyond their power. The food, service, little overnight packet and staff were excellent."
Ulemper: "The general hassle of air travel. Small seats, little space and the herding thru security and long lines. You really have to be slim and trim to fit in the seats and walk the long distances from one gate to another. Great motivation for getting in shape and loosing weight."

Fordele: "Turkish Airlines has an excellent entertainment system"
Ulemper: "They used to have more legroom"

Ulemper: "Sits are uncomfortable and very tight compare to other delta for example also the food quality is poor, the quality and ingredients are cheap."

Ulemper: "Terrible foods taste Zero hospitality crews Lack of food and deink service during 13hour flight No airconditiiner at gate 230 and queue like hell!"

Fordele: "Boarding was timely. Would be helpful if you started lines by boarding group so there is some semblance of order."
Ulemper: "Overhead announcements were difficult to understand. Cabin Crew were inefficient in their service, going back and forth numerous times because they forgot this or that. There's no point requesting a special meal if you have dietary restrictions, because they don't seem to have a way of knowing you've made the request."

Fordele: "Entertainment made the long flight fly by"
Ulemper: "We are 6'+ and leg room was very limited"

Ulemper: "They made us choose an alternate schedule and offered our money back completely 1 week before our trip. This change by Turkish Airlines cost me $610. I had to rearrange the flight schedule for the person dog and house sitting for me. We had to spend an extra vacation day from work. The hotel Turkish Airlines put us in had terrible food and was so isolated that you could not walk to a restaurant. This airline was the lowest price, but I will definitely be looking for a different way for my next trip."

Ulemper: "I stayed in Istanbul Airport for 16 hours with no hotel or even a meal."

Fordele: "The service from Turkish on the flights was great. The service for rebooking was great, once we got to the front of the line."
Ulemper: "Due to a snowstorm (beyond their control) we had to rebook. We were in line for over seven hours because they did not honor the line and helped whoever walked up to the front. Many people 'cut' in line. It wasn't until someone yelled at them about the problem that they started to honor the line. Unfortunately that was five hours in to the wait!"

Fordele: "Great Food, adequate seating, helpful staff, efficient boarding"
Ulemper: "The airplane was a really warm temperature when we boarded."

Ulemper: "You broke my suitcase"

Fordele: "Good service, good food!! I will use Turkish air again."

Fordele: "The crew was friendly and the flight wasnt delayed, nor were my bags lost."
Ulemper: "The seat next to me had two kids sitting in it. The seats are only supposed to have one person per seat. So they we also halfway in my seat also."

Fordele: "It was a 12 or 13 hour flight and except for sitting too much we were never uncomfortable. The service level made me think we were back in the 80's. Hot towels, attentive service, tons of food and free drinks. There was actually one meal that we would have eaten even if it wasn't on a plane. They gave out full size blankets and pretty fluffy pillows. (I bring our own anymore, because you never know if you will get one on most airlines, and if you do they're usually useless). Their entertainment system was amazing. We caught up on all the recently released movies that we've wanted to see for FREE! If only Netflix had this quality of movie offerings. They had fresh flowers in the huge bathrooms. It's that type of attention to detail you just really don't see anymore."
