Flight was delayed for 5 hours from 11:45 to 17:11 and my hotel check out was 9:00 on the morning. Very last minute delay and there should be more compensation than $20 dollar meal vouchers.
Good for foolish people who never learn from mistakes.
Fordele: "I liked that there was wifi on board."
Ulemper: "We had a 3.5 hour delay. The crew could have offered extras to make up for it."
Fordele: "The cree was great. Plenty of room in economy plus. Timely boarding."
Ulemper: "The food was hard on the edges and too spiced on the salad."
Ulemper: "My SAS flight (which was operated by Air Canada) was delayed by more than 2 hours. A friend who was a fellow passenger was charged for 1 piece of baggage. She should have gotten a break from the baggage fee because of the delayed departure. That's another thing. Why is it that some passengers (like my friends and I) didn't have to pay for our checked baggage, but some passengers (like my other friend) had to fork out a fee for her checked baggage? While we were waiting for our trash (after our meals) to be picked up by a lady crew member, she took so long chatting with a couple of passengers that we had to wait a few minutes before she can get our trash. By then I was dying to get to the bathroom and nearly had an accident as a result. In the future, I'll try to avoid flying with any SAS flight (operated by Air Canada) if I can help it."
Fordele: "Not much, plane was full and felt like a sardine even after paying extra for more room"
Ulemper: "Air Canada is trying to grab every nickel it can wring out of flyers"
Fordele: "Flight attendant very pleased"
Ulemper: "Can't use the entertainment, the jack to connect the headset was broken"
Ulemper: "Difficult to cancel flight. Could not do on line and when I called I went through a menu that said that no one was available and to call back later. Didn’t even state what later meant. Subsequently ended up not canceling in advance since very little ability to call back once into work day."
Fordele: "The entertainment selection was great. There were a lot of movies available."
Ulemper: "There was only one working bathroom for coach. I think they said there were 3 working toilets total on the whole plane. I usually like airplane food, but this time it wasn't good. The exit row seats that we "upgraded" to were incredibly narrow, and there's nowhere close to stow your things. Then someone was in our seats when we boarded, and they took all our overhead bin space, so we were left with nothing for our flight. I would Not recommend paying extra for the exit row seats."
Ulemper: "The entertainment system did not work - it cut in an out, I had to restart a movie 3 times. As well, the seat felt damaged - it leaned to one side. Made for a very uncomfortable 8 hours. The leg room is getting worse"
Fordele: "Crew took very good care of me. They made sure I had a comfort seat."
Ulemper: "No enough choice of movies"
Fordele: "Excellent service, good food, business class on the 787 is very nice."
Fordele: "Not great seating on this smaller plane for business class. Staff was good. Didn't eat so don't know how the food was."
Ulemper: "Business class seats were small. No difference from economy"
Fordele: "The snack selection is excellent"
Ulemper: "No complaints"
Fordele: "Crew quite courteous and helpful. Smooth flight and landing. Pleased overall."
Fordele: "The new airplane 787 is really a nice airplane"
Ulemper: "The flight delayed 1:45, making me lose my connection"
Fordele: "Comfortable flight, decent movies and food"
Fordele: "Both my first and connecting flights were delayed despite excellent weather. No explanation was offered."
Fordele: "Compensation for my issues"
Ulemper: "Forced from flight requiring a 4 am wake up for a flight to Vancouver where that flight was delayed. Then they lost my bag. Missed a day of work and had pay for an extra day of dog sitting."
Ulemper: "Same as above. Flight delayed by 45 minutes. No explanation given as to why... no inclement weather or other issues that day."
Ulemper: "We were in Toronto for an entire week without our bag and Air Canada showed no concern at all for our well being. I travelled with my one year old son, I needed supplies for him and Air Canada gave me dead end numbers to call, websites that didn't work and even hung up on us when we were trying to find out about our bags. They treated us terribly. I will never fly them again."
Fordele: "My flight was on time"
Ulemper: "From Toronto to London the price they charge is about the same as I pay from Toronto to Dubai using emirate or ettihad which is twice the distance. Toronto to London is a busy route so why charge such a high fare? Food. Be prepared for food that comes straight out of a cafeteria's frozen items. Entertainment. Slightly better than Turkish airline's which isn't an achievement by any means. Old aircrafts which don't have air vents. They really don't offer anything to you except charge you a lot for the busiest routes in the world. Try other airlines."
Fordele: "Friendly and helpful flight attendants"
Ulemper: "No earphones supplied at all, for such a long flight, and as I did not have a pair of my own, I was unable to access the inflight entertainment. They ran out of one of their two entrees. I got the last of the chicken while my seatmates had to settle for the pasta. I felt guilty about this, and I was only sitting midway on the plane."
Ulemper: "I am not a large person, 5'4, size 8. I was uncomfortably cramped in my seat. How do they expect normal sized humans to fit here??"
Fordele: "Last row seats recline. Plenty of entertainment options. A long flight with one large meal, frequent drink options and snacks. Turbulence that the crew handled well, especially the landing."
Ulemper: "Seats on planes are just too small. Control panel to each screen is on the arm rest which kept getting hit accidentally. Poor choice of placement. Plenty of food but not all that tasty."
Fordele: "Awesome entertainment and tech interface at the seats!"
Fordele: "Early and luggage delivered quickly"
Fordele: "The view from the window seat was all that was good about the flight."
Ulemper: "The flight attendant (lady with short red hair) was very rude to a customer I was sitting next to. When food service came aroind, people had there seats back amd instead of addressing everyone to politely put their seats in the upright position, she specifically told her (in a very harsh tone) to put her seat up for consideration of the person behind her. The customer said she couldn't because the person in front of her had her seat reclined as well, which left her with very limited space to eat. The flight attendant continued to say she needed to pit her seat upright or take a seat in the back of plane. I was in shock by the flight attendants' unprofessionalism. Flight attendants also need to provide passengers with pens to fill out declarations. Some would not provide customers with pens. I will never fly Air Canada again!"
Fordele: "Crew members were courteous and generally helpful - though a call placed for help was not acknowledged (given 15 minutes, then gave up - though it was not during the meal service). The aircraft is very nice. Food was quite good, and the entertainment options were excellent."
Ulemper: "Boarding and getting off the plane took a loooong while...."
Fordele: "I flew in and out of Montreal to see if it was better than Newark or Philadelphia from upstate NY. It was all right. The food on Air Canada is not good AT ALL. The crew were very nice and had a good sense of humor. They were the best part. And at least I got an aisle seat--in the very last row of the huge plane. There must have been 500 people on board, and it was full to the gills."
Fordele: "Yes, I like it"
Ulemper: "We could not book for large group, so we have to separate"
Fordele: "787 is super comfortable and quiet aircraft. Decent service."
Ulemper: "Lack of coffee while seat-belt sign turned on - there wasn't even any significant bumping in the aircraft - certainly could have served coffee without issue. I know this is a "safety policy" but sometimes we should objectively leave lawyers out of the equation in terms of service provided."
Fordele: "Attractive and competent flight attendants What a soft landing"

Ulemper: "Food, seating and entertainment was poor overall. No tvs/ entertainment of any sort"
Fordele: "Food on international flight was horrible, they lost my luggage, last flight was an hour late with no explanation. Still don't have my luggage."
Ulemper: "My one checked bag did not arrive,. And when I reported it, there was no tracking for it. It was stressful because I had one night before I was leaving for a back country trip and the " lost" bag had " no hits" when the bar Cade was scanned. So I spent hours trying to find someone who could assist me. I lost one whole vacation day dealing with the bag issue. Sure wish I could get some compensation."

Fordele: "Pros: In flight entertainment is excellent (lots of movies, games, television, etc..) Food is pretty decent on international flights They offer free headsets on international flights There is no checked bag fee"
Ulemper: "Cons: The check in staff is slow and very unhelpful. They need additional staff to help with the long lines. They do not seat you with your family. (Many people on board were separated from their group unnecessarily and they make no attempt to put you together unless you ask at the gate. They refuse to do it before then.) They also overbook flights and put you on standby even if you pay full price and book your flight 6 months in advance AND get to the airport 4 hours in advance."

Ulemper: "Staff was a bit rude in at check in to get onboard as I was one of the last passengers to board the plane."
Fordele: "great new plane loved the entertainment, usb chargers, new window shade technology. On time flight"

Fordele: "We had a pretty uneventful flight from Tampa to Toronto using Air Canada. That is a good thing. The airline offers complementary juices and drinks of the nonalcoholic variety. No complaints."
Fordele: "Swedish air saved the day! Air canaduh should Take some lessons on customer service."
Ulemper: "Not enough room. Very uncomfortable."
Fordele: "I flew Air Canada from Copenhagen to Toronto in June of 2016. Air Canada personnel are friendly, polite, treat everyone as a welcomed guest. Of all the major airline carriers, Air Canada demonstrates consistent exceptional customer service and have set a standard other carriers should yake note and master."
