Ulemper: "My flight was delayed, which would have caused me to miss my connecting flight. The customer service person was not at all helpful, and told me there were no other flights available on any airline until the next day. However, I was able to go online and book another flight immediately...which means that she was either being disingenuous or actively undermining efforts to get me home in a timely fashion. Very disappointing and as a SkyMiles member would have thought there would be some level of common courtesy dealing with a non-weather related delay that drastically impacted my travel plans."

Ulemper: "The connecting flight from Atlanta to NY was rescheduled for an hour and fifteen minutes later, boarding for the delayed flight started late, closed doors were another 20 minutes late, spend another hour or so waiting for confirmations, during which no AC is on because of a malfunction on the plane with the electricity unit. Due to rough air conditions, no in-flight service, or very limited one - and all of those are fine by me, and not the airlines' fault at all. But then, during all these unexpected conditions, I can't even use the in flight entertainment system as i use Bluetooth earphones, and to get earphones I have to buy them for 2$. To earn excellent service, inspite of all the delays, AC malfunction and unpleasantness all you had to do was give those 2$ earphones for free. I have another flight with SkyTeam coming up and I do hope it won't be as unpleasant as it is a much longer flight."

Ulemper: "The flight was scheduled for 7:45 pm. Due to the storm the day before, my flight out of Miami was cancelled and I was told that the flight out of W Palm Beach was my only option. I paid $150 for an Uber at 4 pm. At 6:37, I got an email with news of a two hour delay. I would’ve appreciated an earlier notice. But much worse was the boarding experience. As half the passengers had boarded, someone announced that we had to have everyone boarded and seated in 5 minutes, or else the crew would time out, and we’d have to stay in WPalm. This set off a frenzy, with seated passengers yelling at the people boarding to hurry!! I was told by the pilot while exiting in LGA, that we made it by 30 seconds! It could’ve been handled so much better!"

Fordele: "Very nice flight and attentive staff. Enjoyed the view of NYC as we flew up the East River, then looped over Nassau County to approach LGA."
Ulemper: "The male flight attendant who handed out the complimentary drinks and snacks acted a bit strangely. I was very thirsty, and I asked him if I could keep the rest of the can of soda. He neither said yes nor no, but rather completely ignored what I said and just poured my drink and moved on. I was a mildly annoyed, but figured maybe it was policy and he was shy and didn't want to debate the matter. When he took care of the older couple behind us, however, things got really strange. He asked them whether they wanted pretzels or peanuts, but they misheard him and asked for a ginger ale. I happened to know that he did have ginger ale, since my wife had just gotten one, but rather than just pouring the old folks a drink, he repeated himself. "Peanuts or pretzels?" They misheard again and asked him whether he had a diet ginger ale. Again, rather than just pour them the drink, he repeated himself. "Peanuts or pretzels?" This went round and round a few more times -- like a poorly designed computer UI that refuses to accept anything except the correct input -- before the old couple finally figured out the disconnect and picked their snacks before their drinks. Very weird."

Fordele: "Flight was delayed by 2+ hours, Delta (running the flight for westjet) sent 1 email about the flight being delayed to 4:45 which was inconsistent with the gate signage and agent who said 3:45, flight ended up leaving at 5:45PM. No reasons were provided beyond the incoming flight from LGA hadn't come in. Why hadn't it come in? When could we expect to leave YUL? No answers."

Fordele: "Please call me. Why did you double charge me? I took my parents for a trip and you charge me 2 twice?? Call me 416 888 4387"

Fordele: "On time departure and arrival, clean plane. Enough space for your carry on."
Ulemper: "Despite having 15 open seats on the earlier flight, I needed to pay $75/person to take the earlier flight. I chose not to do this. Would I have loved to get home 2 hours earlier."

Fordele: "We were traveling with a 4 month old lap infant, and the crew went out of their way to warm bottles and be friendly in general. The plane was clean and comfortable, and on this leg of our trip the entertainment system actually worked!"
Ulemper: "The only bad things were those that were totally out of Delta's control: weather delays and absolutely nasty and rude TSA agents who seemed to understand neither the concept of their Pre-Check system (no dedicated lines and no priority) nor the fun of traveling with an infant."

Ulemper: "The boarding process was extremely slow, "Comfort Plus" seats in the smaller regional jet were definitely not worth the upgrade."

Ulemper: "Not enough water on the flight and we landed in a parking lot and shuttled back to the airport."

Ulemper: "I don't understand why there's always a lack of space when the flight is full. Were the aircrafts not designed to accommodate a full flight's worth of luggage? anf then when I went to go to my seat, the air stewardess told me to progress down the aisle so someone that they knew could pass through, causing a delay in me getting to my seat as well as losing my overhead luggage space as someone else passing utilized it instead. Now I am in my seat with both my carry on and personal item stowed below. So was I comfortable ? No. Was I upset and annoyed, on top of being tired? Yes. They need a better system."

"Never booked this flight"

Ulemper: "I had paid for an upgrade to sit in the front of the cabin with extra legroom (row 14A). When I boarded a man sat it my seat. He had not paid for the upgrade, but the crew let him stay in my seat. I had asked him to social distance but he continued to sit right behind me bo matter which seat I moved to. He argued with the crew until they gave up and let him stay. They did not check his boarding pass or ask him to move to his assigned seat I found a different seat away from him but I don’t see the point in paying for extra legroom when the crew let’s people who haven’t paid for it sit it those seats. I felt harassed by the man and was very uncomfortable the whole flight. I am considering my next step, I think I should at least receive a refund for the upgrade I paid for."

I will recommend KLM whenever I can"

Fordele: "Very friendly onboard personnel - I really had kind of homy feeling."

Ulemper: "KLM staff in the Prague airport were some of the rudest humans I have ever met. So incredibly uncaring and outright mean."

Fordele: "The crew was fantastic! Our needs were constantly being met and just about the time you thought you might want a snack or a meal, the attendants were already heading down the aisle. Because of an allergic reaction, I asked for ice a number of times and the attendants were more than happy to meet my needs."
Ulemper: "The seats were very close together. The trip from New York to Amsterdam seemed a lot more comfortable than the return flight. The food from NYC JFK was better than the food from Amsterdam. The movie selection on both flights was a little disappointing."

Fordele: "The boarding was easy and you didn't have to wait inline for that long"
Ulemper: "KLM needs to upgrade the entertainment. It was very hard to see the images on the screen. The planes that KLM uses are old and they sure need to be upgraded."

Ulemper: "The crew had their general Dutch aloofness on form. Chatted to one of the stewardesses in Dutch up until she saw I had a British passport then she decided she could only speak English to me."

Ulemper: "Our flight was canceled from Amsterdam to Bordeaux and did not receive any direction and had to find alternate flights for ourselves with the personal expense of using our own cell phones. Then our luggage lost for 3 days. Not happy!"

Ulemper: "Boarding was odd. Go to airport early and counters were not open, did on line check in so was able to avoid the self check in at airport. Also self check in luggage seems confusing with no ground crew to help. It didn't affect me but lots of confused passenger."

Ulemper: "Airlines had no record of our pets flying with. Missed our flight even though we were there over 3 hours prior. Ruined the last day of vacation. Now we are waiting for the promised help in Amsterdam. No one is here. No one knows anything. Feel like crying"

"My flight out from SFO was cancelled. No one contacted me with the result I had to spend 3h extra waiting for the next flight. On the return I had booked for a 10:45 am departure. My itinerary said BOTH 10:45 and 07:20. I finally got an agent who said the flight was for 07:20. The movies did not work in my seat. I changed to another seat where the sound only came out from the right speaker. Pretty poor when you spend the money to fly business."

Ulemper: "I booked flight for my parents from Kayak for the first time. The confirmation number was: KAYAK Booking Reference KE40651 British Airways Record Locator 3IMN38 Booking Date Jan 24, 2021 So British airways cancelled the flight may days before the flight date and they notified Kayak but Kayak sent me no notification. At the time of check in we found that the flight was cancelled. It was such a hassle. I called kayak to rebook frantically since it was very important to travel right away. Your customer service was pathetic. I was told to cancel my british airways reservation and then I have to wait 24 hours for another department to call me to talk to me about rebooking choices. There was no concern from your customer service that since u are at fault so make correction for it right away by rebooking it. You guys didnt inform us for cancellation of the flight that happened days before the flight. I didnt like what Kayak rep was telling me and called British airways again to see if they would do something. They then were able to rebook me the following day with 2 stops instead of one stop which I had booked. So my parents took the flight with one day delay with extra stops. I had such a horrible experience with Kayak. I will never rebook from Kayak again."

Ulemper: "The boarding process was quite chaotic and slow. There was no oversight of what people were putting in the overhead compartment so many were putting both their carryon suitcase and under seat bags up there leaving no room for our suitcases by the time we boarded. The flight attendants were eventually helpful in finding space by making people remove smaller items, but it was time consuming and avoided on most airlines we typically fly by enforcing bag rules as passengers are boarding."

Ulemper: "BA computer system did not link our payment for excess baggage to our itinerary so we had to spend time checking in to resolve. Carry your receipts for any payments."

Ulemper: "1,5 hr delay. No effort from the cabin crew to compensate for delay. Just stuck in our seats for 1 hr waiting for the airline to be cleared for take off. Would have been nice with a hot towel for face and hands after a long semi-night flight (10hrs). Extremely cold. Everyone was freezing and coughing due to very, very cold cabin air. Very old entertainment system. Grainy blurry screens. No charging of devices via usb. The control was fixed to armrest and was accidentally pressed al the time while resting and arm on the armrest. Remote gate in LHR."

Ulemper: "No free non-alcoholic drinks. Everything at a fee. Remote gate in LHR."

Ulemper: "The dinner menu was ok. I didn’t like the breakfast at all."

Fordele: "The crew generally is kind and patient. This older aircraft had new seats installed."
Ulemper: "BA now doesn’t even provide you with a glass of water or peanuts for free. Everything is buy on board like Easyjet or Ryannair. Entertainment is non-existent as are any type of power outlets. Seat pitch is very tight."

Ulemper: "i Had arrived early and was seated properly... however they held the plane over one hour delay to help late passengers ... this made problems with the connection flight .. they sent us to the wrong terrmknall and lost our luggage.. I feel like this was planned so they could sell out seats at a higher price last minute Fix all the above Call me to make this right"

Ulemper: "We had a 2 hour delay on our flight from Heathrow to LAX. That being said it was during the most severe cold front to hit North America and counterparts flying with connections in some of the hardest hit town had delays of 24 hours or more."

The Crew was then very rude during the flight and unapologetic for what has to be the most ridiculous reason for a flight delay I have ever experienced. Others were given generous compensation for that bump. However we were given nothing. At least they us we could rest in the BA lounge because I am elderly and disabled and we would have a 9 hour wait. Got to the lounge and we were not listed in the system. So we were denied entrance. We will have have spent 2 nights on a plane and 36 hours instead of one night and 16 hours. Rotten way to depend your 50th anniversary."

Ulemper: "Even though it was Finnair it was quite difficult to get my boarding passes and was unable to choose the seats on my long flight. I had to get my boarding passes through American Airlines and then flew through British Airways. It would have been very frustrating/difficult to a new traveler. The flights themselves were very good, they were accommodating and was able to move my seat for me in JFK, the flight with British Airways was good."

Ulemper: "There was a last minute gate change that was not announced until boarding was closing, so I had to race across to the other side of the airport to catch the plane. There was no food/drinks provided on the flight."

The crew also were quite hasty with their passes through the cabin. I didn't even realize they were handing out arrival cards until they had already passed."

Fordele: "The agents and crew were exceptionally friendly and helpful. The boarding was timely, the crew was very friendly. The service was exceptional. The only issue was seating, too cramped. I am 5'11"and weigh 135. I was uncomfortable in my seat. My husband was uncomfortable in his seat. This made a 9 hour flight rough. The crew, food and entertainment were great, but the seating made me think twice about flying to Europe on British Airlines in the future."

LaGuardia airport forced passengers to take their car services by walking outside and waiting in a parking garage with (12 degree Fahrenheit feels like -4 and 20 mph winds). Felt frostbite, couldn’t move fingers, and have a sinus headache. absolutely appalling this is NY and USA - yet we can’t have car services pick up pasengers outside the door of the airport, instead require to walk 7 minutes and stand in a freezing air tunnel airport garage. Changes my mind on flying to LAGUARDIA in the future"

Ulemper: "They lost my luggage. They did not allow me to take her whit me in the plane because i did not fit a suitcase that always travel on top because is small suitcase terrible I will never travel again with amercan airlines"

Ulemper: "Our last 6 flights have all been changed or delayed significantly. Then they loose our bags on a direct flight. Won’t fly America airlines again!"

Fordele: "Same size and capacity flight, my instrument was not an issue."
Ulemper: "For the love of god American Airlines you can’t have one person threaten to arrest you for trying to carry a guitar onboard and then someone else on a flight two hours later personally assist you in packing the same guitar into an overhead."

Ulemper: "Took off late from Minneapolis only to announce that there was something wrong with the plane, no explanation as to what but that we had to circle to burn off fuel before returning to Minneapolis. Switched to a flight to D.C. with a connection to get to LGA. As soon as we sat down on that flight an announcement was made that we wouldn't make our connecting flight. Got to D.C. and asked to switch to go into Westchester instead of LGA which we were denied. So changed to another connecting flight to LGA that didn't take off on time. Offered nothing for any of the inconveniences. Etc."

Fordele: "Immigration in Dallas was amazing, so quick and no fuss."
Ulemper: "If you are running late you might struggle to get from terminal to terminal"

Ulemper: "When I arrived at the gate, the flight was on time, but no aircraft was at the gate. The gate attendants left at the time we were supposed to Board, then the departure time changed on the board and no announcement was made. Another gate attendant told me that the aircraft was at DYT, but the reason for delay was crew rest. As the delays continued, 3 in all, we were told that the aircraft was at DYT but we were waiting on a crew to be flown in from Charlotte. Not sure how AA messed up their crew rest schedule on domestic regional jet carrier. Either way, a new gate attendant arrived to take over, and continued to tell us we were waiting on crew. Then the story changed to waiting on aircraft and crew. By the time the 3rd change in departure had been made, and we were still waiting on aircraft and cre, AA failed to continue to update the departure and arrival times. Once we boarded around 9:00pm the boarding time still showed 8:10pm. Then we sat on the runway awaiting departure for approx 40 minutes before taking off. Very poor communication And customer service."

Fordele: "The mobile updates were helpful and timely."
Ulemper: "The overhead space was smaller on this plane and as I learned on my trip to DTW my weekender carry-on would not fit with my shoes in it. Because of this, I pulled my shoes out and put them in a collapsible bag that fit under the seat in front of me along with my small personal bag as I had done on my previous flight. However, the gate agent would not allow me to board the plane and would not listen to my explainations at all as I tried to keep the boarding process moving along. She kept repeating "you have 3 bags" and made me steep out of line and check my carry-on (which I would then have to pick up at baggage claim). When I asked why I couldn't get out on the jetway like she had done for other passengers she said, " I only did that for airline employees" (quick happened to be a flight attendant from Spirit). My overall experience on both flights to and from Detroit was that the gate agents and flight attendants were the most unhelpful and rude airline employees I have delt with and I will stick to my preferred carrier, Delta, for my future flights back and forth to Detroit. They certainly make me feel like a valued customer when I fly them, which I did not feel with American."

Fordele: "i like the wifi internet that AA provided. Great movies"
Ulemper: "The flight attendants were highly rude and i felt as if i was discriminated on. I was sitting in the back and the flight attendant who was suppose to assist us made us feel like i was a bother to her. First of all she just rudly dropped biscuits on my table didnt ask if i wanted and then I had to ask her for coffee, she didnt ask me if i wanted something to drink. Finally she brought my daughter and I some coffee. i ask for sugar and she said im very busy you have to wait....eventually she gave me one packet of sugar. I had to ask for another sugar for my daughter , so when i ask she gets upset and tells me i have to wait but there as a white who ask for assistance and she was very polite to her."

Ulemper: "I am missing two items that I had in my checked bag and my clothes and belongings were all messy as if it had been gone through. I am very upset that these items were likely taken by whoever went through my bag."

Ulemper: "Flight was cancelled we were re-routed and didn't get there until 24hours later."

Ulemper: "Late late cancelled chaos in reassignment late late One agent threw up hands said I'm done and left with long line of passengers not yet reassigned Person behind me asked why didn't we take Delta?"

Fordele: "the team was great, boarsing smooth, arrived early"
Ulemper: "we waited an hour for the bags to arrive on the carousel. What's that about? Get it together and have the bags out in time. We're just sitting here waiting for them over an hour - there are no other arrivals in this terminal. What's going on?"

Ulemper: "Without any explanation...American Airlines cancelled my reservation! I needed to be sent back to poor quality hotel for a night and take a different flight out the next morning. American Airlines was supposed to provide transportation back and forth from the hotel however a car never showed up at the hotel to pick us up and I needed to get my own taxi at the last minute (American did however reimburse me for the taxi fare at the airport). I never received an explanation as to why my reservation was cancelled and was never offered any type of compensation for such a major inconvenience. They dd ultimately waive my 25 bag fee but it wasn't very easy to even get that from them. I felt that they should have been more empathetic towards my inconvenience and offered me any type of compensation to make up for such a horrible experience. When I asked about possibly being upgraded to first class they told me absolutely not! A little graciousness can go a long way, American Airlines showed that they could not care less about my inconvenience (other than Rodrigo at the counter the next morning who actually showed he was truly sorry for the situation and at least ended up moving me to a row with more legroom). Other than this, I was extremely disappointed with this experience and how it was handled."

Fordele: "I was just happy to get a flight out early the next morning when my Thursday afternoon flight was cancelled."
Ulemper: "I ended up in a middle seat due to having to be rescheduled, but it was still comfortable."

Fordele: "We boarded the flight pretty quickly"
Ulemper: "This elderly woman took long to put her baggage above so someone that was sitting a row behind my seat decided to take all of the overhead bin space, he definitely did not have a carry on size luggage and I feel that would have never happened if tsa would have noticed his carry on was too big"

Fordele: "Very efficient boarding, comfortable coach seats, good crew"
Ulemper: "No food! except pretzels and sandwiches for purchase. I didn't purchase a sandwich but on the outbound flight, the two guys next to me did and were both vocal about their disappointment with what they received for $9. And they were strangers who didn't talk to each other the rest of the time, so I think they meant it. Also, entertainment: they had a movie on the pop-down screens, and 4 free movies to stream to your device using on-board Wifi, as well as 2 TV shows. So maybe I'm being harsh. But it was a transcontinental flight and they didn't have headrest screens loaded with movies. Is this only for international flights? The movies were bad, or at least not appealing to me ('Keanu' and 'Zoolander 2'). It was possible to pay for additional movies, but who wants to do that? It was sort of the EasyJet model, where you get good basic service but pay for everything additional that one gets for free on Delta. Maybe that was reflected in the price I paid for the ticket, but I was expecting that AA would be in the same league as United and Delta. One nice perk: free wifi for T-Mobile customers, including me."

Ulemper: "That I was there and hour before my flight and my seat was given up. I didn't like that people are allowed to retract all the way making my flight uncomfortable."

Fordele: "The gate crew in Roanoke were professional and helpful. The next day's flight was on time and uneventful."
Ulemper: "The flight attendant was unfriendly at boarding. He did not say or play any pre-flight safety announcements. We were told the flight might have to refuel in Richmond due to major weather delays in LGA. When we were landing they said they expected a refuel and a quick turnaround in Richmond. On the plane after landing, I learned via my phone's internet the flight was cancelled. They never announced it on the plane. At the final moment before we disembarked, the crew told us to be sure to take our belongings. When we landed, Flightaware showed delays of 45 minutes at LGA. AA never took responsibility for the problem though the gate crew mentioned they canceled the flight because the crew was going to be over their maximum hours. AA really couldn't plan to allow for up to an hour delay? I feel disrespected and even deceived. Although it was clear that flight attendant really needed to get off that plane. At the gate, we were told there were no available flights to NYC and were stranded overnight in Richmond. AA did offer a hotel pretending it was a courtesy since they claimed the problem was weather related and not theirs. We chose to stay with relatives and were told AA could only provide transportation from the airport which we did not need. We often have problems and cancellations on this route from when it was branded a US Air route to the present, but this was egregious."

Ulemper: "The pilots did not show up for my flight after my other connecting flight was delayed and a previous fkight had been cancelled."

Ulemper: "Not updating flights at the airports or apps, our 3 flights that we tried to take to get us home were canceled I had to fly stand by ALL day Saturday, went through security three times, and have been standing at a ticket counter for ANOTHER DELAYED flight. I am disgusted and will NEVER fly American again and will let friends and family know to fly SOUTHWEST"

Ulemper: "Business class food is a disgrace. On the way to Lisbon they had at least some warm meal, skipped now and just got a box with bad, cold food. The crew was apologetic."

Ulemper: "Multiple delays for my flight. First the departure was delayed which I know can happen. Then we boarded and sat for over an hour before take off. Captain made up a story about the plane needed gas and said we would take off in 15 minutes. An hour and 15 minutes later we finally took off."

Fordele: "The Tap flight was an hour late causing me to miss my connecting flight with Tap and my car rental. Attendant NO help. Sent me wrong place!!."
Ulemper: "Better flight attendants who know how to help. Never TAP again!!"

Ulemper: "Flight delayed but otherwise it was good! Maybe entertainment such as tv monitors or inflight entertainment upgrade."

Ulemper: "Cabin crew were far from welcoming when dealing with the African passengers (including me though I'm Spanish) the food was a disgrace On a 5 hour flight to Accra there was no entrainment, the chairs were incredibly uncomfortable and you could not even charge your devices... The food arrive way too early. I believe the airline has put less of an effort on these planes due to the nature of the passengers... I have been traveling for 20 years and I never felt so disappointed by an airline... I will not use this airline ever again"

Ulemper: "I was not informed my flight was cancelled until the day of the flight. I was able to get in touch with someone to pay for another flight but the communication was lacking."

Ulemper: "Flight was canceled which was out of their control. Unfortunately, what wasn’t out of their control was the amount of people handling the rebooking. One person was handling alternate flights. I was the 6th person in line (which was the time equivalent of an hour and half wait. I missed all possible reroutes due to flights closing. The customer service of tap airlines is severely lacking"

If we were going to spend 1k on a return flight, we were going to take British Airways. TAP, never again."

Ulemper: "No reclining seats, no pillows, no entertainment. Very uncomfortable for three hours. Also, made me check my carry on without even weighing or measuring."
