location They did not have my reservation. If it would have been full, there would be problems for someone
Parking was convenient & location was also convenient to restaurants and sites.
Nice Location for walking to attractions, handy with the parking (although a little tight but we liked the challenge!). Breakfast was terrible - cakes and muffins do not a breakfast make! Hotel needs an update and seemed a little on the expensive side for what it was.
It was very important to me the parking car, and the location where the hotel is. It is near of almost all places I want to visit. I don't like the carpet.
The handy location and friendly and helpful employees
I thought the location and closeness to fishermans wharf and easyness to the other transport was great i thought that the price was a bit excessive for what we got but the location made up for some of that. We had a lot of trouble with the Wi-Fi.
Good value and good, safe location, close to bus lines.
The clean room, and the staff. We have stayed ther many, many times!
It was good value for the money and the location and facilities were excellent.
Comfort of the rooms- clean and comfortable bed, nice bathroom, nice view from the hotel's terrace, and nice people. Cafe and continental breakfast.
The kindness of the people at frontdesk. Checking-in too late (2 pm). I had to wait for two hours for rooms to get clean. Rather poor wireless connection.
Felt like home when first checked in Felt not important at checking out
A good budget motel for a short stay in SF... Small stinky room...
Plenty of parking, comfortable bed, good shower Refrigerator did not work
decor of the rooms Parking area too small
excellent location, parking available, clean room
Clean, cheap and parking is included No a/c and noisy (both traffic and residents)
Good location and price. Complimentaly breakfast was less than expected.
Good location. For travelers with the car- free parking. Free wi fi access
The ability to park in a very busy city and the friendliness of the relief managers. The lack of facilities to make anything other than poor quality filter coffee in the room.
The room was clean, good view (we could see the Golden Gate Bridge from our 6th floor room). The staff was very friendly. Parking garage spaces were tight but adequate and a good value at $26 per overnight parking. If you are a light sleeper, this place probably won't work for you. It was very noisy, outside and inside. We could hear traffic, sirens, and even people talking outside on the street at all hours. Two homeless people on the sidewalk had a loud argument at 5 a.m. regarding a space they wanted to claim for the day to solicit donations and we could hear them quite well. In the room next to us we could overhear their conversations even though they weren't talking loudly. The walls must be rather thin!
Comfort Inn By the Bay was close enough to the things that we were looking for that we were able to walk from place to place for much of our trip. The staff was very friendly and the hotel felt safe and cozy. Even after we checked out, there was a place for us to safely leave our luggage until we actually left the city.
Comfortable stay. Lovely staff. Enjoyable full, free breakfast. No black out curtains in the room.
Location close to most everything
The Hotel is located in between Golden Gate and Downtown, therefore it is well suited as starting point for exploration tours through San Francisco. Bathrooms are big and friendly, beds are comfortable. The breakfast has to be taken by standing at the reception desk and consists of coffee and some cookies, so I wouldn't call it a breakfast. There is a lot of traffic in front of the hotel which means some noise in the nights but at least for me it was ok.
had problems with key cards, low water pressure in toilet
Location No light over bathroom sink. Broken safety lock on door. No help with limited parking.
good location, staff helpful on directions for city busses, clean room. The air conditioning didn't work very well. Also there was no staff available when I wanted to check out - hoping the charges show up properly on my credit card.
room was clean, but old, bathroom was new. parking was a problem, mybe thirty rooms, fifteen parking spots.
Location Rooms very small and out dated
Location, attention, just what you need to pass the night, nothing extraordinary but value for money, not expensive but with tons of shops and good restaurants one block away in Chesnut street.
The hotel and the neighborhood was far from SF downtown (30-40 min by bus), but for the same reason, very quiet. The hotel is very close to the Golden Gate Bridge (5 min by bus). The room was small but clean, and had all basic things I needed. It took a long time to get to the hotel by bus (30-40 min + waiting time), and the neighborhood didn't look very safe at night.
Location, Hotel Staff Breakfast, Price
the staff was very friendly the room was dark due to an overhanging balcony and an awning. No natural light made it into the room
Friendly and helpful staff. A little problem with the heavy bags and no lift - but lots of willing help!
Great location, near Fishersmans Wharf - Golden Gate, Alcatraz, Pier 39.
Motel was well equiped inc in room safe, continental breakfast,in room coffee, plus, english style pub around the corner "liverpool lils" get in early for car park space, otherwise on main rd
excellent service by Raymond, Great location and free parking! next to kindergarten can be noisy in the morning.
The knowledge of the staff was second to none, and free internet was usefull. Hotel is a little tired, bfast was a little disapointing.
Very handy to many S.F. activities & good restaurants yet away from the busiest/noisiest part of Lombard St. No previous reviews mentioned this but next door is a daycare center so if you don't mind the 'screaming kids' from 8:30am to 12 noon & 3 to 5pm (Mon to Fri), then ok. It only bothered us in the mornings & one afternoon we were back early. Request rooms away from this Day Care if such things bother you.
I love the location and pets are ok. There is a dog park right accross the street, so very good with pets. Staff was most helpful and friendly. It has recently been remodeled so it is nicer than the last time I stayed there. Rooms are a little small.
Good location near Golden Gate Bridge and Presidio Park. The room was damp and cold. Even new towels ended up getting wet. The shower pours too little hot water. Breakfast is terrible and the area is called "Hospitality Room" where there are just 3 tables. The problem is that guests occupy for reading newspaper and you don´t have tables availables to eat. There's no parking lot for many cars.
Many TV channel availables for free. Nihil
Very pleasant stay, but simple rooms. Owner is very accomodating Be prepared to ask for another room if you prefer non-smoking! The hotel is 'non-smoking' but some of the rooms have a heavy presence of smoke, so be prepared to ask.
Nice, clean room. A bit noisy, but better than I expected. Noise.
This realy is a great hotel in a great neighbourhood! It was realy cheap for this location, and there was free parking and free wifi. For breakfast you just walk for 5 minutes down the street, and there are several reataurants.
Location Very dated tile in bathroom...carpeting very questionable.
Location was central to SF Do you want shoddy construction or cold showers? Look no further. Very old musty smell almost everywhere. The places that weren't, actually smelled like a used diaper- no exaggeration. The lid to the toilet tank was not even the same size as the toilet bowl leaving it to be half balanced and look incredibly sloppy. Have you ever heard the expression, "you can't fit a square peg in a round hole?" The builders of this place sure hadn't. The toilet seat was also a good deal longer than the actual toilet leaving a massive overhang. Floppy dong- say hi to the yellow brown tiles! The grout and sealant of the seams of the bath fitters-esque renovation of the shower was grotesquely unprofessional. There were visible nail heads protruding from the white substance. But wait- there's more! The shower never even reached a warm temperature. All three nights we stayed here the water never became warm.. It was not user error.. The sinks or any water source never became more than barely room temperature. There was one morning it seemed a bit warmer, but it could have been hallucinations from diaper fumes. Tanks tapped out at 7-8 AM and still again at 9-10 at night?... fantastic. Three days of cold, prison style showers... It was actually festive since we planned on going to Alcatraz while we visited the bay area. There was a black smoke like stain above the headboard of the creeky bed as well. No doubt some poor soul who occupied the room prior couldn't take another ice shower, the diaper smell, or the nails in the bathroom grout and left gun residue on the wall when he made his final check out to life. Oh! I almost forgot! There were also those black clamp style office clips on the blinds to the front window facing the streets. These were to keep the blinds shut because obviously the ability for the shades to remain shut on their own is a luxury granted to only those willing to pay more than $150 a night for motel, diaper smell, prison showering amenities. San Francisco is a great city though.
Parking is very expensive in San Francisco and parking is included in this motel! Rooms a very small but enough.
I like the fact that it was located in a great part of town - close to many attractions and very quiet. Plus, right up the street there are plenty of bars that one could choose from (if looking for such things). The staff was extremely helpful, polite, and accommodating. The room was small but we were not looking for a place to lounge as we came to the city to be in it, not to be in the room. Did not like the dirty shower floor, but mostly due to appearance.
Free parking and convenient location were real pluses
Staff very helpful, well connected, good location. Small size room (looked bigger in the picture)
Got last minute on our way into city when everywhere else was booked. GREAT PRICE. Can't beat the location - within 10 minutes walking to Pier 39 and other great sights. Cannot beat the value Rooms were somewhat smaller - didn't mind because we only slept and showered there.
Free parking in the middle of San Francisco!!! Great location!!! Clean and comfortable rooms. Very helpful, courteous staff. There isn't much for breakfast, but so what, you are in SF, just go out and enjoy yourselves.
Staff always very helpful and accomodating. Convenient to public transportation (4 bus lines on the corner), always clean and comfortable.
The staff was friendly. No air conditioning was a bit rough on a hot day but it cooled off enough by evening to not be an issue.
Excellent service. Room was crowded by furniture. Tight space. Otherwise excellent.
Location, free parking, kitchenett, good continental breakfast, bus stop on corner, good restaurant's and grocery store in walking distance. kithchenette could have a toaster and more pots/pans/utensils
Relatively quiet and efficient. Since my stay was for an overnight business meeting I was looking for something quiet, clean, and easy. The Lombard Inn fit the bill! Nothing jumped off the page other than they need to spruce up the blankets a bit.
None Poor customer service and lied. I requested a refund, was told by the hotel staff it would be processed, then was charged the full amount. When I called and inquired about the refund, I was later told that "there was nothing he could do" to process the refund his coworker had promised me.
Good hotel Traffic noise. Can't help that though. Busy street.
centrally located, helpful staff, quiet, updated rooms, free parking
in Lombard street Staff were not that helpful, breakfast room was a joke, no table or chairs, was in the foyer
Nothing staff were surly manager ok Have e-mailed Days Inn , my wife slipped in the bath , no anti slip treatment on the bath when l asked for an anti-slip mat was told to go and buy one myself as she wasn't going to pay for it out of her own money . These people should not be the hotel tra
Nothing ! Slept in my cloths! ! Shouldn't be offered on your site !! Only thing offered for free breakfast was overripe bananas ! Nasty !
An average Days Inn. Nothing more or less. The parking lot isn't big enough if the motel is booked up. Parking across the street is a poor option requiring a long walk across a very busy street. The toilet actually flushed, but not until it was flushed three times!! A really bad toilet.
Management and shaff No I love the hotel

It was centrally located for pick up on our bus tour The hotel was dirty, room smelled of mold/must, bedspread was dirty, front desk help was never at the desk, breakfast was coffee, juice, and cheap honey buns. Neighborhood was sketchy. This was advertised as 2 1/2 stars--no way! More like 1/2.
Location Front desk took forever, clerk was lost somewhere behind the counter. Very limited parking, compact vehicles only.
Rooms were clean and beds comfortable. Quiet for the city of SF. Close to Fort Mason where we attended a wedding. Parking car was great! Shower drain was closed and I had to hold lever to drain shower water. Needs to be repaired. Shower mold could be cleaned.
Location. Run down motel. Very dirty bathroom with previous customers hair all over the place. Bed not clean with stains on the sheet. Room and hotel smells like curry.

They let us check in early. It was a rainstorm yesterday and they knew we didn't have a car so they got us a room the hours earlier. No
The beds and pillows were very comfortable... Poor parking (of course, being in San Francisco, having any free parking is good). No air conditioning.
parking the room
Location. Walking distance to most of Points of interest and Pier (39) and choice of quick food Restaurants nearby. My first stay at Motel Capri was in 1971 (39 years ago) and kept coming back ever since.
The room was clean and the bed was comfortable; it was also fairly quiet for the area The furniture was shabby and the shower head wasn't very forceful
Clean room, good location
Location was ok, parking easy. Had wireless internet. Room was fine. Bed a little small for 2 people (no, we are not fat). The hotel was loud - thin walls meant we could hear TVs on in adjacent rooms, and hear people having conversations outside, doors banging late at night, etc.
Location---close to family's home. No hair dryers in rooms. I had one delivered from the office, however, so it wa okay.
Open airy rooms conveniently located off of Lombard Street are charmingly outdated, but maintained and a good value for the money. Parking was extremely limited and presented difficulties.
Hotel staff great! Room really clean, as was the bathroom. Bed & pillows comfy. However, if you want quiet, forget it. Doors and walls paper thin and much noise from partiers. I suggest earplugs. Motel is very close to fine dining, shopping and Starbucks though, and that's a plus! Good if you are on a budget and only use it for sleep. Very noisy, so don't stay by the elevator.
good location. Across from my favorite bar..... in a word disgusting. from the moment I got in to the non English speaking reception, to the sticky carpets, to the thin walls, to the parties happening after the bars closed, to the families leaving at 4:00am because they were well simply awake, to the road noise starting at 7:00am.
Cheap. Location to the Bay Area. My room was right nest to the ice machine and was so loud, but no reduction in rates. I had to check out early becasue I couldn't sleep due to noise. Plus all the room doors slamming shut is noisey. This is not a Ramada hotel, it's Ramada limited... Doesn't have the same quality. Staff were rude and unhelpful.
Parking was included No Elevator. We had to go up 3 levels with suitcases.
Proximity to bus stops which went to centre of town or Fishermans Wharf.Quiet room. Spacious room. Having to carry breakfast for 2 people up 2 flights of stairs on one very small tray because each room was only allowed one. Breakfast cut-off at 9.30am.No breakfast room or lift.
comfortable and close to shopping, between the Presidio and Fisherman's Wharf. Good access to transit down side is no elevator for access to rooms
The room was fair, but the rest of the hotel was run down (dirty). The parking was underneath the building but not enough space for parking.first come first serve. I did not like ramada at all compared to the days inn at el camino real near air port. I would recommend other ramada's I have stayed in but not this one located on lombard street.
The hotel room was very clean and tidy The location is horrible!
This was the worst Hotel we ever stayed in. We were extremely disgusted with the whole hotel. One of our towels had holes in it. We are not sure that the sheets had been changed and the pillows were extremely old and awful. We have booked many hotels with you but we have never experienced such a terrible hotel before and will never stay in a Ramada again Everything
we stay at the hotel and we feel so comfort about the services and the staff that helps us a lot that when i delay one day and he still serve me and help me ,i feel so glad for that. none
Good location, friendly staff & clean Breakfast could have offered more options, the rooms are set up like a motel but they are all facing each other down a hallway so in the mornings when people leave, you wake up to slamming doors.
Went during winter. Nice heater. Quite Reasonable WiFi There are very limited space like 10 spots. If you arrive late, there isn't any space available. I saw a broken window in front of the hotel so had fear of parking outside of the hotel.
The room was clean and looked fresh painted, although it smelled strange. The location is good and this is all that we liked. Lombard is a very busy street, so if you need a good night sleep, find a different hotel or ask for room that faces the other side. Pillows are horrible, room smelled funny, towels old and olso smell. Free breakfast; carbs and coffee with dry creamer and sweeteners, also orange juice. Free parking is very limited, and there is no parking around, so be prepared to cruise around if you are driving.
The staff was very helpful . Local public transportation near by to access all areas of SF was excelent Not having a breakfast room , had to take breakfast back to bedroom to eat
Very friendly and helpfull personel. Need and clean and good value. Fine Location. Nice walk to Pier 39 along the waterfront on flat streets ca. 2,5 mil. Shops and restaurants close by. Morgenmaden var sparsom(kaffe, muffin, frugt) men frisk. Da vi vidste det på forhånd generede det ikke, vi supplerede selv med brød og pålæg. Breakfast is coffee, muffin and fruit. It was fine enough fore us, as we knew in advance, cause we added bread and cheese ourselves.
