Ulemper: "The rows are so narrow between seats that your roll on suitcase will not fit. You have no elbow room in your seat. People who live in England are very rude and would not let those of us seated in front of them to deplane. Too bad there isn’t someway to make people wait their turn."

Fordele: "The flight crew was phenomenal, especially Daniella. Somehow we wound up with seats right next to the bathroom door, which would have been a pretty uncomfortable situation for a variety of reasons, but the flight wasn't full, and she helped us find a suitable place to sit. Also, my wife and I usually take our tea with honey vs. milk and sugar. Even though honey is usually one of the options for tea, she found a way to accommodate our request. The lunch meals were the best I can remember in a long time on an airline flight. They might have been the best I've ever had. The chicken curry was authentic, flavorful and spicy. Frankly my outbound flight had problems. My luggage got damaged. The transfer experience in Manchester left a LOT to be desired. I wasn't planning to use Virgin Atlantic again, but this flight crew (Daniella especially) redeemed Virgin Atlantic. They were attentive, pleasant, diligent."
Ulemper: "Only thing I didn't like about this flight was the boarding area. Once you get into that the area, you don't really have access to appetizing food (only vending machines) or even restrooms. That's one thing that could be improved."

Ulemper: "Entertainment systems take up foot/bag space underneath the seats. Was not able to get more than one glass of wine, even though I missed the first beverage service, that is my fault though, but I don't recall it being an issue getting a drink between services. Entertainment systems had contrast issues and it seemed like a lot of people 8 - 10 had issues since they were using iPads instead of the built in monitors. A lot of wear showing on the entertainment systems remotes."

Fordele: "The staff was so helpful and upbeat and somehow they stayed that way the whole 8 hour flight. This was economy btw! More good things: Comfy seat, personal entertainment screen, really nice food. One free checked bag, bathroom was bigger, (it may have been a handicapped bathroom)."

Ulemper: "It's so confusing when they list Virgin and Delta interchangeably, when you're not exactly sure which you're going to get. And in my experience, there is a huge difference between the two, so I prefer to know exactly which airline will be servicing me. Just be more clear in listing on flight info. This was not a Virgin flight, it was a Delta one."

Ulemper: "The seat cushions are really hard and not very comfortable to sit on for a long flight. If you could get a higher density foam that would be great. my bum was a bit sore/uncomfortable."

Fordele: "Flight D001 (Delta / Virgin, LHR to JFK) Staff were terrific. The food was the best I've had so far (and I fly a lot!) The choice of entertainment was varied and excellent. Flight was smooth and captain was very communicative."
Ulemper: "Chair kept snapping back to position from recline (33E). Man behind me kept banging on the screen behind my head Inspite of announcement not to do do from cabin crew. If they could catch ppl doing that and say something that would be great :-) (although I realize if course the this isn't their fault.)"

Fordele: "There was an incredibly large passenger next to me and I was essentially afforded only a quarter of my seat. It is not really fair for anyone to have to sit next to someone taking up twice their seat."

Ulemper: "I almost missed the flight because I didnt hear the announcement for boarding and I was sitting near another gate to charge my phone. Fortunately I heard the final call!!"

Ulemper: "The boarding was the worst I’d ever seen! No structure, only 1 person was taking tickets to board and would stop every third person to go back to the counter and checkndomething, holding up the entire boarding process. We were supposed to start boarding at 8:05, but started at 8:35...."

Ulemper: "I ordered the beef tenderloin, medium. It came out extremely rare and I had already eaten some by the time I realized; the entire plate was filled with blood. I ended up sick to my stomach for the remainder of the flight. Average height to tall individuals do not fit well laying down in the seats."

Fordele: "After a delay of over 1 1/2 due to weather, we boarded and then waited for luggage. Then our pilot said our weight was too high so we sat and burned off fuel, which delayed us a half hour."

Then the gate checked bags took forever. I was supposed to have a 1.5 hour layover. I barely made my connection as I only had 20 minutes left until takeoff by the time we got off the plane."

The app should also tell us the reason for the delay, if allowable, especially if it weather. I almost hoed on another flight through Minneapolis but would have been stuck in Minneapolis cause I didn’t know the delay was due to weather an hour later."

Ulemper: "Grumpy gate attendants at YUL! Could not hear the captain’s comments over the PA system. Shouldn’t the volume be checked every so often? We were offered only water or coffee, bad enough, then there was no milk or cream on board, so water or black coffee... not very impressive! And there was no entertainment so I’d rate that zero but the scale only goes as low as one star."

Ulemper: "Vi skulle fra Aalborg til Austin TX. Først blev vores fly fra Amsterdam til Atlanta cancelled. Vi blev ombooket via Detroit. Men så var flyet til Detroit forsinket, og køen i immigration var så lang at det ikke kunne lade sig gøre at nå flyet til Austin. Nu sidder vi så og venter på det næste fly til Austin, og er meget trætte. 2 ombookninger på samme rejse - det har jeg dog alligevel aldrig oplevet før!!!"

Fordele: "don't know it's first flight delta's fault or next flight china southern's,arrive 3 days,but still couldn't find our two bags"

Fordele: "Direct flight to JFK using Delta. Was not aware that I was NOT flying on West Jet therefore encountered problems searching for a way to check in online. Ground crew airport check in at the Delta counter and at the Boarding gate was helpful and efficient. However request for Special Assistance in Toronto was poorly handled. We did not accept the conditions offered to us as one wheel chair operator had to push 3 passengers and I had to wait for him to return to me after two people were brought to their gates. My Husband had to wheel me in to my gate."

Ulemper: "The crew stated that drinks would only be served in economy class due to the short duration of the flight. Also the Delta Studio never worked with the inflight wifi."

Fordele: "the Ground team from Israel to New York was amazing and very helpful."

Ulemper: "Arrived to the airport over 2 hours early and was told that my husband and I were put on standby because Air France overbooked the flight. I told them this was unacceptable - we had purchased a ticket and had seats reserved. And, typically if a flight is overbooked, the airline will offer a later flight option to everyone at the gate with an incentive to change it instead of randomly choosing passengers to bump off. They were rude and unapologetic and instead of putting us on the next flight 2 hours later, they made us stand at the counter for over an hour until they waited for all the other passengers to check in. Then 45 minutes before the flight took off, they told us that 2 seats opened and we would need to run through security and to the gate in order to get it on time. They also didn't have seats next to each other -- so the window and aisle seats that we had reserved were given away and we both had middle seats on opposite ends of the plane. Even though they acknowledged that we did everything right and they chose us at random, Air France was completely unprofessional and rude throughout the entire process."

Ulemper: "Flyet var forsinket så jeg missede forbindelsen til CPH i Frankfurt. Det kan ske. Blev omboket til tidligt fly næste morgen. Sådan måtte det jo så være. Men at skulle stå i kø som business pasager i 55 min for at få hotelvoucher og nyt boardingpass var for meget. Economy havde endnu længere kø. Skikkerhedstjek næste morgen i Frankfurt tog 35 min for business og op mod 1t for economy!"

Due to the number of people attempting to check in and go through security, I missed my plane and was rebooked in an economy seat. These glitches occur but one would expect Lufthansa to have had a plan to deliver clear directions."

Ulemper: "The fact that I can't use my own headphones and I'm forced to use the cheap airline-provided ones (with the dual plugs). Single biggest reason to not fly Lufthansa, because I can't enjoy the movies!"

Fordele: "Easily the most comfortable I've ever been in TATL economy. Lufthansa's 747-8 is set up strangely: the main deck is arranged First - Business - Economy - Prem. Economy - Economy. This means that if you can book a seat in the forward economy mini-cabin, you get dedicated cabin crew, no other passengers walking through your space to get to the bathroom, plenty of bin space, and – best of all – a lot of aisle space to stretch your legs. Row 16 aisle seats are especially good, as the bulkhead between J and Y doesn't extend all the way, and therefore you can stretch your feet out. Food was actually excellent (for economy), hot and flavorful and generous, with snacks available mid-flight. Beverages also tops – gotta love Lufthansa for offering Campari (!) and more than one wine choice."
Ulemper: "Entertainment (music and movies at least) was up-to-date but not very interested. Boarding and transit security in Frankfurt was anxiety-inducing – between getting to the US departures area and additional screening, it took more than an hour from deplaning to getting in line. Boarding w/o group numbers was an exercise in patience. And the terminal wifi is so spotty!"

Ulemper: "The fine print on the flight pass-- didn't notice that my request for flight change did not go through. Am stuck in the airport!"

Fordele: "The Lufthansa crew in Munich was very helpful when my boarding pass would not go through - I was not told I needed a new pass for that flight (as the first one had been cancelled and rebooked: 2 Air Berlin flights). No one was of help until this point, and the Lufthansa crew even offered to check on my baggage for us only to notice it never left Berlin; we didn't get it for 3 days. This did not surprise me because last time I flew Air Berlin for an 8 day cycling & camping trip, I didn't see my bike for 5 days (you can imagine this sort of ruins the entire point of the trip). After reading a lot of complaints with Air Berlin and never hearing back from their customer service (ever) after numerous forms filled out, I knew checking our bags with Air Berlin from the start would mean we wouldn't see them in New York. I even said to the Air Berlin employee at check in that I refused to check my bag because of my past experience and he "assured" me my bag would be at JFK when I got there. Ha. It was nice to see the Lufthansa crew shocked at how poorly this trip home was working out for my husband and I."
Ulemper: "After the cancelled flight, we were very disappointed to be rebooked with Air Berlin. We do not want to fly Lufthansa if they are so closely associated with Air Berlin, and will tell our friends the same."

Ulemper: "The only suggestion I would have is that the entertainment options could be a bit more updated. The movie selection was not as good as I have experienced it on other flights (--- other airlines have a better 'new release' selection)."

Ulemper: "The vegetarian option was very poor. Frankly a pizza snack in place of supper is not what I expect on a cross-Atlantic flight."

Ulemper: "Although dismal, running out of dinner choices before half way into serving...And given the prevalence of dairy allergies one choice should be dairy free without compromising quality or taste - why does the chicken dish has to have dairy products? Quality of food overall was so so."

Ulemper: "I wish there was more of advance notice on this flight, instead it just gave us 23 hour reminder. We had booked this flight a year ago but we could not make this and the 23 hours was too short of a notice."

Fordele: "The crew was perfect - nice and very helpful. I like the restroom area on this plane much better than on other kinds of aircraft."
Ulemper: "I definitely didn't like how Lufthansa online booking assigns seats. Why are family members who booked their tickets as one order getting seats apart from each other even after online check-in and seat selection? We had a very bad experience with this."

Fordele: "Very good crew, very attentive, very comfortable seats in business and entertainment Flight left within 30 min of departure time and there was no turbulence"
Ulemper: "Food, I barely ate especially on Lagos Frankfurt leg. I evem believe that the fish that was served may have been slightly off !"

Fordele: "Our connecting flight to Munich was late, but Lufthansa had a van waiting to collect us, usher us through passport control and get us to our flight to New York in time. That was a tremendous help and took a lot of stress off of the trip."

Fordele: "Didn't like it all"
Ulemper: "Delay's happen but I paid $840 dollars to select seats and select those with extra legroom for myself and 3 other family members. I had a window seat with enough legroom to stretch out my bad knee. On the flight substituted for my original flight I was given a bulkhead seat (which doesn't allow for extended knees) next to a screaming baby on her mother's lap. Luckily the flight wasn't full so I moved to a seat next to an empty one. I was told by a crew member that I wouldn't get a refund because the bulkhead seat was considered extra legroom."

Ulemper: "KLM lost my suitcase and did not deliver it until three days later... They refused to compensate me for having delivered the bag with broken articles inside (A pair of Rayban Wayfarers!)"

No touch, no 1/8 inch audio jack (it has the old 3 holes one). Wifi for streaming freezes every other second. Just make a face lift to the plane, everything else is good."

Fordele: "The crew was fantastic! Our needs were constantly being met and just about the time you thought you might want a snack or a meal, the attendants were already heading down the aisle. Because of an allergic reaction, I asked for ice a number of times and the attendants were more than happy to meet my needs."
Ulemper: "The seats were very close together. The trip from New York to Amsterdam seemed a lot more comfortable than the return flight. The food from NYC JFK was better than the food from Amsterdam. The movie selection on both flights was a little disappointing."

Fordele: "She was cheerful and genuine. I have dietary restrictions but was unable to preorder a meal. She went out of her way to find an available meal for me. I also saw her bring other passengers extra snacks and drinks."

Ulemper: "Boarding was very confusing. There was an area where they were checking people's bags or something near the gate and you didn't know if you needed to stop at it or continue. They didn't collect garbage before landing. Not only did we have to take our bags off the plane, we had to carry our garbage (drink cups/food served) to the front of the plane to throw out."

Ulemper: "Really poor entertainment choices esp compared to my inbound AirFrance flight. Boarding was pretty disorganized and late."

Fordele: "On both of my flights to New York City, I was amazed at how friendly and helpful the flight attendants were to the passengers. On my short flight from Basel to Amsterdam, a young French speaking girl was concerned about how to manage getting to her next gate. The flight attendants talked to her and arranged for someone to take her there. On my longer flight from Amsterdam to New York City, there was a customer who was in distress about missing a previous flight and not making it to her connecting flight in New York. One of the flight attendants reassured her until she stopped crying and calmed down. That same flight attendant was always so positive and cheerful in all she did. The rest of the crew was top notch. This was my best experience flying in such a long time. Well done, KLM crews of flights 1984 and 0645 on July 10!"

Fordele: "Of the multiple international airlines I recently flew with, I would have to say KLM was by far the best. Relaxing atmosphere, comfortable seating, great in-flight entertainment, although I have the go-go in-flight data/entertainment plan with t-mobile (highly recommended), the flight included a decent selection of movies, television programs, etc. The food far exceeded typical "airline quality," even for an international flight - and included a fabulous little snack box with locally sourced gourmet and specialty items such as chocolate from Belgium, fine cheeses from France, and crackers from England. Drinks = gratis, and crew was exceptionally attentive and went out of their way to make flight as pleasant as possible."

Ulemper: "KLM's new configuration for this type of plane made the seats even narrower than before. While leg room was reasonable, the 3 abreast seating meant a lot of discomfort, especially in the row right in front of the restroom."

Ulemper: "The crew was very interested in gossiping instead of assisting their first class passengers. I sat with the same trash since the 2nd hour on a 6 hour first class trip. The entire first class cabin all had their call lights on which were ignored for over an hour. If you asked for anything they seemed to be annoyed they had to stop talking to each other. The cabin was also very warm to be an international flight."

Fordele: "This is one of the best airlines I've ever flown. Very nice comfortable planes. Excellent air crew. Everything they do is at a high standard. What really sets them apart is the really great service. I had a problem with WOW air not honoring my ticket due to snow. I had to book at the airport on Iceland air last minute. They didn't have a gate agent who could sell me a ticket - so they sent a manager out from the back office to book us so we would not be stranded due to WOW's incompetence. Booked us just minutes before take off, escorted us through security and onto the plane. Start to finish less than 30 minutes. Amazing service. Their class of service is far above that of major carriers. Iceland Air works harder and makes sure everything is right."

Ulemper: "The booking was too tight. We BARELY made our flight to Minneapolis and the airport in Rehkjavik is way too small for the number of flights coming in at the same time. We were in a winding, snakelike line for security that went on forever and then when we got through, the lines for the gates were mixed up, without proper seating areas and separation. People were in the wrong lines because it was too crowded to see where we should be. This is a POORLY run airport that needs significant expansion and improvement."

Ulemper: "2 late evening flights booked with Icelandair. BOTH flights were then cancelled, leaving us with an extra 2 nights of unplanned stopovers. Today’s flight then departed a further 90 minutes behind schedule. Can’t comment on the food - didn’t feel like paying Icelandic prices for the last time."

I spent over 90 mins waiting to drop my bag and then had to sprint through the airport to get my flight. Thankfully the rest of the airport is very efficient."

Ulemper: "I've travelled to 40 countries in my life and this is the FIRST time on a international flight that I was NOT given ( free ) food."

Fordele: "The flight itself was nice. Love the free WiFi and entertainment options. Icelandair is one of the most comfortable flights I have been on."
Ulemper: "I am very upset with how icelandair handled luggage for our layover. Our layover was and overnight, 17.5 hour layover. Not a single staff member told us they would be withholding our bags for the entire layover. Not at check in, not during boarding, not when we landed. We had to figure it out ourselves by asking the baggage info, to which they responded with "if you wait 2 hours maybe it will come on the carousel and you can take it." Mind you it is 1:30 in the morning and we had already waited for an hour, not knowing this was the answer. I am extremely disappointed that we could not access our bags and that not a single staff member told us our bags would not come. I've never had a problem with icelandair until now and I strongly hope this does not happen again to anyone else."

The check in staff were rude and homophobic at check in, forcing my partner and I to separate for check in while we watched heterosexual partners check in together freely. The disabled toilet alarm broke as we descended into NYC and we listened to end-of-the-world death sirens as we were landing. It was not communicates that food was a microtransaction on flight and was so overpriced so we went nearly 13 hours without food because the flights were also delayed on the tarmac. The de-icing tow truck in Iceland was broken down so we were delayed two hours on the layover. On return, both Icelandair gates opened late. During the layover we were kettled in hot container units before 20 min before being bussed to the plane and held for 15 minutes. Then, the icing on the cake was landing back at Gatwick and seeing my brand new luggage I bought on the trip damaged with thr back pocked ripped out along the bottom seam. I will never again ride with these rude, price-gouging, apathetic amateurs."
