Ulemper: "On the ground, neither the staff nor the signage made it clear exactly where to check in. I was sent to the Lufthansa counter, which didn’t open until 11:30, when I should have gone to the United counter. An hour of my time was wasted, which almost resulted in my missing the one-hour before take-off check-in deadline. The only reason I didn’t miss the deadline was because the flight was late taking off."

Ulemper: "4/4 flights with involuntary stop-overs were delayed, causing 4 panics and 2 missed flights. Given their proclivity for busing passengers to distant planes in Herman efforts, a 50-minute allowance for changing planes, when added to the frequent Kate departures, is just not sufficient. They should acknowledge it and sell only flights that allow for 80-90 minutes in the airports that are so woefully managed (eg, Frankfurt and Munich). It’s back to BA for me!"

Ulemper: "The crew didn't seem particularly interested in helping anyone and worked hard to avoid eye contact. This was an unpleasant flight at best and given the option I will not likely fly Lufthansa again if given the option. I wish that I had better news to report from this flight. :("

Ulemper: "Took first available train , arr. Freising at 9:50. Arrived at Terminal 2 by bus ca. 10:25. I am handicapped and a slow walker, so I got to departure floor ca. `10:40. Waited in line at self-serve check-in; found out that it does not have ability to process numbers (for US address). Attendant was not helpful and nasty. She told me me to go to the regular check-in line, where I waited another 45 minutes. None of the 3 "help" personnel standing around when approached managed to tell me that there was a special counter for handicapped persons. The one at the express self-check-in refused to give me her lasst name or any form of ID (first name Sophia). After waiting an additional 15 minutes for a wheelchair, I was deposited in a waiting area, where a second wheelchair arrived after another long wait. Told me I might not make the plan (I did). Overall a very unpleasant and nasty experience. With the exception of the very nice lady (Mrs. Ilser?? ) who checked in my luggage, none of the other 3 persons at the express and regular check-in spoke decent German or English, and none was helpful (Go there, wait!!!) Barely made the plane in MUC, Heathrow turned out much better than the touted German efficiency. Please forward to Lufthansa customer relations. Dr. W. Hartwig"

Lufthansa doesn't clearly identify when un-prioritized groups should begin to board. United should make clear that unspecified group members attempting to board prematurely will be held to the back of the queue for their appropriate group."
Fordele: "The crew came round with bottled water multiple times during the trip and even after taking off 15 min late, we still landed 30 mins early and the luggage came out quickly."
Ulemper: "The meal before landing consisted of nothing but the worst ham sandwich I've ever had the mis-fortune to be served: reminiscent of Bulgarian Airlines in the 80's."

Ulemper: "I tried to pay for extra luggage online a day earlier, but that function was not possible through the lufthansa website. I called the service center and the representative insured me he had reserved 1 luggage for me and that I could pay for it (the cheaper price) in the airport. That, ofcourse, was not the case. The lady at the checking counter found no evidence of my phone call and reservation, and had to pay the full price."
Ulemper: "Flight was canceled. They packed us on another one 3 hours later. Crying babies, bad food and uncomfortable, squishy seats made the flight unpleasant."

I am thoroughly upset because I contacted the airlines 3 times in May to express my concern with the 30mins layover. And to no avail. My worst concerns are being played out now. It appears that their isn’t any concern from the airlines about this catastrophe impacting so many people. Shame on you."
Ulemper: "The connecting flight departed before the first flight landed. Then I was given the wrong information of gate departure by airport personnel. After running like crazy to find this gate for departure, the plane had already departed before we even landed. There wasn’t anyone around to help, and finally I found an airport worker who gave me the same incorrect information. She was as perplexed as was I. Finally, she directed me to the information booth where I was booked in a flight the next day. The food voucher was insufficient to cover dinner, i had to pay out of my pocket but I was frugal given the financial situation. The taxi service personnel were rude and it took a long time to taxi me to the hotel where I am unable to sleep because I have an early morning g departure. All in all, between the airport delays getting me to the hotel, lack of proper food and treatment by personnel, I am exhausted and lost sleep in the process."
Fordele: "They have Economy class seats on the business class. Uncomfortable."

Ulemper: "The Austrian airlines website is absolutely the worst and least user friendly that I've seen for an airline. I tried paying for my bags and it rejected half of the itinerary's bookings for no reason. It took a ton of clicks to get stuff done and I kept getting errors. Very limited movie selection."

Ulemper: "The gate was older, not well appointed and far from shops and better dining. We lined up only to be taken on a very long shuttle ride to the plane. I have had this experience before but in this case the planes location was virtually on the other side of the terminal. By the time all were boarded, the plane was late by about 15 minutes to takeoff, and we experienced more delay after that so that on arrival we were an hour delayed. Many missed connections in Vienna as a result. Crew seemed tense and on edge."

Ulemper: "I tried to reschedule due to a death in the family and due to the "small print" this was not possible. Then when I did travel, it turned out I didn't have the right for a piece luggage (again "small print"). I paid for the extra piece and I was double-charged (same amount withdrawn twice). Now I have opened a complained with Austrian and they haven't responded so far."

Ulemper: "I didn’t understand that we got no baggage allowance with our tickets. When I looked on the website it appeared that star alliance members got the usual free luggage. Apparently it was a “lit” fare & we didn’t. It would have been worth it to get the next class of fare"

Ulemper: "While going to the gate G11 at Vienna airprt, i slipped infront of the gate in presence of 3 male austrian airways staff who were checking there. After i got up i requested if i could get some water and they said they cannot. Finally a co passenger gave me her bottle of water. I ended up actually breaking my leg"

Ulemper: "The connecting flight from Vienna to TLV was terrible. Austrian airline employees at the airport are rude. The information about our connecting flight was not readily or easily accessible. The flight crew from Vienna to TLV were not kind. My daughter 11 years old went hungry without a meal. The stewardess kept telling her the food was coming & never did. This was a terrible trip & we will never use Austrian air again. I will tell all my family & friends of my terrible experience."

Ulemper: "As I was flying from London Heathrow back to Vienna, I had a carry-on that was allowed on my flight with Austrian from Vienna to London. My carry-on weighed 8 kg, like is required by the rules. While boarding my flight, the woman at the counter told me my bag had to be checked because there were too many carry-ons on the flight. I asked her that I keep my bag because I had medication in there, and she didn't listen to me at all. She just kept repeating that i have to check my bag, and then took my bag from me and gave it to the baggage crew there. I didn't want to make a huge scene because the flight is only 2 hours and I hoped i Could deal without my medication during that time, but I found it incredibly, incredibly rude and awful to not listen to a passenger."

Ulemper: "There is not enough leg room. There is even less room if the person in front of one's seat has the seat reclined. The seats barely recline at all, so sleep is impossible. Sleep would be possible if there were enough room to rest one's head on the tray in front of the seat. This is impossible if the person in front of one's seat has reclined his or her seat. Thus, sleep is totally impossible on this aircraft. The sinks in the bathrooms also need to be deeper and need to drain more quickly."
Ulemper: "Seats in economy class were crammed with next to no leg room"
Fordele: "The only positive aspect about this experience was the crew on board the plane. They were pleasant and efficient."
Ulemper: "The true cost of this ticket was extremely poorly communicated. The baggage policy was not clear when I purchased my ticket, and I was charged an additional 30 Euros upon boarding to check a bag that met the carry-on size requirements (I had looked this up ahead of time), but because it was in addition to my purse (which fit under the seat), I was forced to pay to check it. Had I been aware that this ticket only permitted a purse-sized carry-on when purchasing the ticket, I would have selected a different ticket/carrier entirely. What was even more confusing was that I had flown on a similar ticket from London to Vienna, and didn't have any issue bringing a carry-on and a purse, so of course I was surprised when they told me I had to pay an additional 30Euro for the same two bags! When I tried to explain this to the agent, she argued with me and was very unhelpful. Overall, a very negative experience on Austrian Air. I will not be returning."

Ulemper: "United did not honour the seat assignment that Airfare.com gave me so I sat in a middle seat. But the entire seating plan on United is so bad it should be a violation of the anti torture convention."

Fordele: "Pumpkin soup instead of a heavy entree was welcome and tasty. Breakfast yogurt portion was generous, the granola less so. Accompaniments were good. Butter was not ice cold, thank goodness."
Ulemper: "Inbelievably chaotic boarding process for Kili to Dar leg. No boarding lanes so had to fight through the crowd. Was able to observe cleaning process at Dar stop, which was cursory and am sure there was no cleaning of seats of those who boarded at Kili."

Ulemper: "The flight was delayed about 80 minutes and they did not informed until when I got to the Airport. I could have stayed more at home instead of the terminal. They have also changed the boarding gate.."

Ulemper: "I’m 6’5”, so legroom can always be a complaint, but this wasn’t too bad. The plane appeared to be fairly old and didn’t have WiFi. Entertainment also was on an older screen which was navigated by using an old in-seat phone."
Ulemper: "Keep the temperature at a more reasonable level. Blankets + two layers of clothing was definitely not enough."

Ulemper: "Seat pitch could've been more. At least let us know via Whatsapp that the plane is delayed, or at which belt the bags would come out. This basic info was lacking."
Ulemper: "We were allowed to choose our seats from SFO to Amsterdam but not for the return flight. I like to be able to choise my seats when I book the flight. Choosing seats 24 hours before is not convenient when traveling for the return trip."
Ulemper: "We were told they were holding our flight, we ran 3 terminals and they’d already left."
Fordele: "One crew member was very good but all were not very available or checking on people. I had a seat that I purchased and it was very hard to recline I only found out that it did if fact recline it the last hour to hour and a half of the trip! It was a difficult push back to get it to recline"

Ulemper: "I called for a crew member 5 times and waited 25 minutes for anyone to help me with just some water. I had to get up and go to the very back of the plane to ask for some water. The plane was hot and no air to be found. This was all after we had to get back off the plane before takeoff. It was terrib"

Ulemper: "I paid €60 extra to sit in the emergency door seat to get more leg room but once.i was in the plane learned for more leg room I accepted a smaller seat next to a bathroom and no entertainment. I could not store my belongings near me. No power outlet to charge my devices for my own entertainment on a 7 hour flight. Dealing with constant traffic for the bathroom. I sat in the middle seat between two hours other men. It was a constant struggle arm space. After 7hours in the air I could not wait to get off the plane. If I didn't actually pay an extra €60 for the seat I may not feel bad but I feel like I might have been better off without paying for the "upgrade""
Ulemper: "Headset jack only worked if the headset plug was in EXACTLY the right spot."
Fordele: "My bagage broke"
Ulemper: "I paid extra fee for extra bagage which was tv and i paid insurance my tv broke and no one responces for it"
Fordele: "Nice seats, comfortable."
Ulemper: "Again, no aisle seat for SkyTeam Gold member. Also, my baggage was lost. First bag arrived a day late, second after I had left Billund and it was six days before the bag with my clothes reached me. I was told I will have 100 euro credit for clothing, but in the winter and for 6 days, this was not even close to the amount I needed for clothing and necessities, to have my time here."
Fordele: "The cabin crew were pretty good. That's about all that was good."
Ulemper: "I paid almost $400 for upgraded seats. When I got to the airport-- no seats-- both ways!! i didn't even have regular seat assignments. I had to choose from the last few seats available. The ticket agent, the gate agent and the cabin crew all did nothing to make up for the fact that their system screwed up and stuck me in a cramped coach seat in the back of the plane for 11 hours-- TWICE! Beyond that, KLM must have one of the oldest fleets in the sky. Both ways LAX->AMS->LAX, I was on a 30-35 year old 747 with no wifi, no power and a ten-year-old entertainment system. Never again."
Ulemper: "Pet was left behind at vacation destination as pet's reservation (made and confirmed through KLM) was not found at check in. Waiting for Customer Care to help get pet home and take responsibility for situation and getting no response. Very dissapointed, considering law suit."

Fordele: "Efficiency and speed of boarding was acceptable. I have no complaints about that aspect. The Comfort+ seats were worth the upgrade, pretty comfortable and reasonable legroom unless you have a big carry on stowed under the seat in front of you."
Ulemper: "The first announcement they made to all of us in the economy section was thay they did not have any headphones for anyone but business class. I was told when I booked the seat that the headphones would be complementary. So I did not bother to bring any assuming they were going to keep their word; I figure I'd make it work and watch a movie without sound. If that isn't bad enough midway through my nine hour flight my monitor went out and would not turn back on."
Fordele: "Crew was friendly, and the food was better than the usual KLM fare."
Ulemper: "The "new" seats were hard and uncomfortable. Avoid any kinds of seats near the bathroom in a configuration with 3 abreast next to the windows. The "aisle" seat is essentially a "waiting area" for the rest room."
Fordele: "Short, comfortable flight. Nothing special. Got us where we needed to be without incident."

Ulemper: "Terrible airline, they charge for everything, but don’t give the client good service. I was yelled by a worker because I was having difficulties scanning my bag at the self-scanning-and-uploading-your-luggage that you pay $100 dollars extra Per bag. I don’t like this airline."

Ulemper: "Udkald til gate, hvorefter vi stod 15-20 min. uden info om forsinkelsen. I fly vidste man ikke at vi havde købt breakfast hjemmefra, men vi fik det da uden problemer alligevel. Men brød kun budt én gang og kaffe 2. gang langt senere. I Malaga ventede vi næsten en 1/2 time ved bagagebånd."
Ulemper: "Et halvtomt fly med en aldrende besætning der klart havde været for længe på arbejdsom kun havde fokus på at blive hurtigt færdige med pligterne så de kunne komme til at pludre med hinanden."
Fordele: "Stille fly godt sæde."
Ulemper: "Wifi virkede ikke eller kostede Xtra. Man fik ikke en gang et glas vand."
Fordele: "At jeg kunne ligge ned og sove"
Ulemper: "Sov hjem og fravalgte første servering på business. Der var også en større flok amerikanske gæster som dog valgte at feste igennem på turen - da jeg vågnede var personalet godt trætte af alle passagerer og da jeg ville have lidt i pantryet var det pakket ned 2 timer før ankomst - sikkert for at lukke førnævnte fest - men det retfærdiggør vel ikke at de øvrige gæster også har indløst billet til business og den service der betales for."
Fordele: "Da vi først var kommet ombord på flyet gik tingene sin vante gang... ellers var der ikke meget hoved og hale på noget som helst."
Ulemper: "Men hvorfor annoncerer man at flyet skal board 1 time inden det sker, så passagererne kommer til at stå i kø unødig lang tid. Flyveren var 1 time forsinket på Flightradar24 og også i virkeligheden!!! Det var ikke noget groundpersonalet ville ud med, så alle annonceringer gik efter tidsplanen - den originale med altså en times gap! SAS find jer en mere kvalificeret partner i Athen, da det er var helt hen i vejret og dårlig service."

Ulemper: "We were traveling with two kids, and one of the kids drops some bread on the floor of the flight. One of the crew is angry to us about this, which makes us very uncomfortable."

Fordele: "This is obviously a very well-run airline. Boarding was efficient, the crew were warm and professional, and the overall feel of the aircraft was very Scandinavian-cool. I was most impressed with the meal service. We were served twice on our 9 hour flight, and both meals were hot, healthy, and the best I’ve had during a flight. The passenger in front of us was having a hard time with her sinuses, and the flight attendant (whose name I wish we had gotten) was very attentive and concerned for the comfort and well-being of the passenger. She insisted on doing anything she could to alleviate the woman’s difficulty. It is clear that the crew care about the passengers’ experience."
Ulemper: "We were unable to sleep at all during our overnight flight and landed pretty exhausted. Our seats were comfortable (complete with a moldable headrest to keep your head from bobbing around) but we felt too upright to fall asleep. The passenger in front of us reclined, but we were concerned about reclining into the already tight space of the passenger behind us. So we weren’t able to sleep, despite trying to get comfortable/somewhat horizontal. It seemed to be a mixed bag of asleep and awake passengers on the flight, so some people were unaffected by this issue."
Fordele: "Crew were excellent, had a row to myself, luggage turned up quickly"

Fordele: "This wasn't a very long flight and I didn't eat or drink anything so there isn't really that much to say. But I can say that nothing was a problem at all"

Fordele: "boarding is different and they were talking over pa announcements at heathrow so you could not hear what to do. you go through one ticket agent to the down stairs to another ticket agent. everyone knowing what to expect crowded around the second ticket agent and there because of that forget about boarding by row or zone you couldn't get throught the crowd. plus the second ticket agent was right next to the downstairs escalator so people coming late got on before us."
Fordele: "Personalet var sådan set op og festede meget over at en kollega havde sidste tur inden pension. Desværre holdt de den kommende pensionist på business, så hvem det var der blev klappet af er stadig et myserium. Men hyggeligt at være med kabine personalet på arbejde"
Ulemper: "Gamle reservefly, hvor der mangler både det ene og det andet samt en 10 år forældet komfort. Når der sættes reservefly ind af væsentligt lavere kvalitet end den vare, som man forventet køb, så bude der være en eller anden form for kompensation. Forøvrigt glad for jeg ikke havde indløst business på denne tur da det i grunden havde været at betalte dobbelt for forventelig komfort på en moderne SAS Plus."

Fordele: "The attendant made sure we got checked in and on the flight even though there could have easily been a hang up that prevented us from getting on the flight. It was pretty empty so we got a full row again for all our baby stuff. Very nice"
Fordele: "The standout moment for me was how the crew treated my son who realized, as the door was closing, that he had forgotten his bag with all his schoolbooks. They were very kind and responsive and helped him find the bag with no fuss and without making him feel bad."
Fordele: "Flight was on-time, fast, efficient boarding, on-time arrival."
Ulemper: "SAS is really running down quality of service. An old bird that was showing its age and interior wear. No in-flight entertainment options. Food / beverage options are not on par with expectations or other airlines. Only no-cost drink options are coffee or tea. Juice, soda, water - all for a fee. Snacks available for sale include potato chips and nuts. It's 2017 folks - up your game!"
Fordele: "Checked in easily with the line moving quickly. Boarding was efficient for a full flight. Left on time and arrived early. Luggage beat me to the carousel. Please give Air Canada lessons!"

Ulemper: "I prefer to fly with SAS or Staralliance, so I was happy to by this ticket, but when booked it never said it didn´t include luggage. I was then billed at the airport and can exspect the same leaving Nice. I will make a claim because I consider this a fraud. You could at least have mentioned this on the booking before payment, so I could have made my booking elsewhere."

Ulemper: "Shock to discover that suitcases were not included in price of tickets purchased online. We had to pay the equivalent of $100 (australian) per case. My seat was extremely u comfortable as the cusihion was misshapen. The male passengers seated behind us were drinking alcohol and became loud and garrulous, making the trip most uncomfortable and unpleasant."

Ulemper: "Left till last to board flight. Case taken from me. Asked continually when I wld be taken as I am 83 and recovering from major operation. Told 45 minutes before flight but was taken 10 minutes ahead. Rush has left me very upset."

Fordele: "I was informed by email the evening before my return flight back to London that the flight had been cancelled. I tried calling multiple SAS offices overnight, and finally reached someone the morning of my flight and was rebooked to a different flight, via Berlin. When I got to the airport the booking hadn't been updated, so I had to go through the entire process again with customer service. Because of the flight cancellation and the difficulties rebooking, I was not able to book my luggage so I was charged a penalty fee at the airport when I was finally checked in for the flight via Berlin, and paid much more for my bag than I should have."
Fordele: "SAS har fundet ud af at man kan boarde bagfra også - men det har SAS' kunder ikke helt fundet ud af så der var lidt kaos med folk der ville hver sin vej i de smalle gange med der "medbring kun én taske""
Ulemper: "Når man laver en billet hvor der kun må medbringes én taske i kabinen, så medbringer folk STORE kabinekufferter. SAS burde håndhæve størrelsen på kabinekufferterne da der næsten kom rejsekufferter ombord - så boarding tog lang tid. Og så var det besynderligt at sidde ombord i flyveren og få en SMS der der fortalte at flyveren var aflyst - at man kunne få billetten refunderet da det var begrænset med mulighed for ombookning - og så måtte man selv som om man kunne finde en alternativ rute hjem. Har SAS nu også smidt ansvaret for sine passagerer - sammen med billige billetter? Flyveren fløg dog - og der var en SMS der afkræftede den første da vi landede i København... en besynderlig tur hjem fra Dublin, det var det!"
Fordele: "Smoothest landing I have ever experienced! The one rating for food and entertainment is because you don't have an n/a tab on your site."
Ulemper: "Lost luggage"
Fordele: "I was traveling internationally alone with my 5-month old daughter. The crew was both kind and accommodating. It was a smooth stress-free trip for all!"
Fordele: "Det er jo en af SAS' succesruter med masser af passagerer - besætningen var dejligt positive, men er fanget i firmaets strategi om at give maks. minimal service, hvis ikke man har købt en Fleksbillet. Kan i skrivende stund ikke komme i tanke om andre firmaer end SAS der har skåret så meget ind til benet med hensyn til plain servering."
Ulemper: "Som sådan ikke noget - kender jo SAS og mit temperament har lagt sig i forhold til fordums urentable storhed, hvor det var flyve SAS var noget man virkelig så frem til som en unik oplevelse."

Ulemper: "Boarding was a disaster as my companion was selected for random search which held us up as there was no urgency to process us. Then there was no sign for where we should go since upper deck on 747 so we went in "economy" line as indicated on ticket and then was sent to correct line when we got to the front, wasting more time. The seatrs were the most uncomfortable I have ever beeon on for a long flight. I also paid extra to be in the exit row, to have people constantly congregating in front of us.The food was also mediocre."
Ulemper: "J’ai eu à payer un bagage supplémentaire sur internet à 160 euros. Mon compte a été débité et à l’aéroport de Dakar les agents au comptoir me disent qu’ils ne retrouvaient pas le payement du troisième bagage. J’ai été obligé de repayer le bagage comptant à 190€"

Ulemper: "They made me check my carryon rolly which is allowed on every other plane in the world, which meant going all the way back into a chaos of hundreds of people to check in. Because I had a connecting flight to New York in London, the check in caused many problems...and everything inside soaking wet"

Ulemper: "Air France delayed our JFK to CDG flight. That caused us to miss our connection flight afterwards from CDG to MUC. We got a later flight luckily but one of our bags got lost and is still currently lost!!!"

Fordele: "Direct flight from Indy to CDG is great. The plane was not so full, so I hope business improves so we can keep it going. Very smooth flight, with good and friendly crew."

Ulemper: "One of the engine was smoking just as we took off. This should have been checked beforehand that it was working correctly. The pilot missed the first landing, was going too fast and had to turn around. We circled the London eye 3 times. When we were actually landing it was extremely bumpy and on the way down the plane was tilting back and forth a lot. They were going too fast when we landed as well, I have never been in a plane that has landed so poorly, and I have travelled a lot and used many different airlines. It was worse than any budget airline I've been on. As we were driving back to the terminal, the pilot stopped short for some reason. Things were not explained clearly. I will not be flying with airfrance again and will be sure to spread the word of this awful experience."
