All the staff were amazing. Unique ambiance and furnishings exude class and style. Library Bar is beautiful, always had a spot for me; wonderful service, drinks. Great location, easy to get anywhere. Very memorable!
Location and staff
My husband and I absolutely loved the Nomad Hotel. The staff, every single one of them were extremely helpful, pleasant and fun. I can't say enough about the service. The room was beautiful and the bed was very comfortable. The library bar was very cool. I could hear water noise from the neighboring room's bathroom. That was a little disturbing in the early morning and late night.

The Edition has become my favorite hotel in NYC. It's modern and clean without being trendy. It's luxury without being pretentious. The service was first class. The rooms were spacious, clean, and quiet. Even at $500-$600 a night it's a value. The restaurants and bars were fantastic. I think being across from Madison Park adds something unique. I highly recommend the Edition. Didn't love the elevator set up.
The rooms were cute. Not to small. Stayed here for New Year's Eve. Wanted a bucket of ice for the room so my wife and I could keep a bottle of champagne cold. They actually charged us $5 for the bucket of ice. Not even Motel 6 charges for ice. Room was also very hot and a lot of noise from the street and hallway. Bed hard and uncomfortable.
Room set up Very poor service! I had water & juice poured over me during breakfast with no apologies! Tea was served without tea cup! Bathroom light was out for one day and not replaced. Laundry list was not provided despite repeated requests.
The staff was really friendly and helpful. The hotel design and atmosphere were great. The bed was very uncomfortable - really hard. I stay at alot of boutique / pricey hotels and this was the worst bed I've had.
The service, room, restaurant, location were excellent.
Valet took >45 minutes after being told 10-15 (I allowed 20). Had to request iron, wastes time. Tub drain was fully clogged and GROSS so water did not drain. Shower vent grate was FULL of GROSS dust + mold. Noise outside from traffic, garbage trucks + roof party letting out kept us awake ALL NIGHT, absurd! Sounded like windows on Lex.ave. were open, but they weren't, they're just inadequate!
Staff were very helpful and always on hand. The room quality was very high - the recent refurbishment has really focussed on top end materials and furnishings and for a hotel in central New York, the room was of a good size. Its central location in NYC is very helpful to get uptown or downtown and its situation gives an unusually peaceful night sleep in such a busy city. The roof garden was very nice, as were the bars, but some of the hotel claims are overdone. Cocktails are expensive by the time you add on service and tax.

Very Very cool. From a British viewpoint it is like Malmaison but taken to the next level and with the addition of 5 star service. The concierge are very good at getting you into those 'hard to book' restaurants. The private guests only rooftop bar is very nice.

Fremragende beliggenhed. Miljøorienteret. God service og rent. Havde bestilt med udsigt over Manhatten, fik et værelse på 19 etage med udsigt til en baggård.
Beliggenheden er super Det virker somom perosnalet ikke ved havd deres arbejdsopgaver er. 3 gange på 6 dage blev vi vækket kl. 5.45 - ved en fejl. Et sorry - nej vi hørte ikke andet end at røret blev lagt på.De spørgsmål vi havde skulle der 3 personer til at svarer på, og ingen af svarende var rigtige.Vi fik et værelse hvor der ikke var gjort ordentlig rent, lagnet var i stykker og der var taget af minibaren. Det gjore vi opmærksom på og alligevel blev det skrevet på vores regning. Da vi spise middag på hotellet, kunne vi ikke få lov til at spise færdigt før de kom for at tage af bordet, vi måtte bede dem lade det står, idet vi ikke var færdige.Det indtryk de efterlader er manglende energi/ lyst til deres arbejde.

Beliggenhed, personalet i receptionen var meget serviceminded. 1. Mulighed for brygning af the/kaffe på værelset. 2. Det er et hotel i den højere prisklasse, så det undrer mig at man skal betale for services som er til fri afbenyttelse på andre hoteller, f.eks. internet.
Udsigten fra værelset. Varme/airconditionanlægget skal forbedres. Vi var 4 dage om at få varmen på værelset reduceret til et acceptabelt niveau.
Internationalt. Fantastisk beliggenhed. Meget, meget smukke lokaler, herunder lobby og restauranter. Meget, meget venligt og hjælpsomt per-sonale overalt på hotellet. Ikke muligt - alt var i top.
Personalet var venligt, omgivelserne var luksuiøse, og beliggenheden helt i top. Sengene var gode. Aircondition på værelset kunne ikke slukkes, vinduet kunne ikke åbnes. Badeforhænget og pude lugtede surt. Der var gamle rester i køleskabet. Dynen i sengen var uden dynebetræk, men med løse lagener. Proppen i badeværelset kunne ikke bruges.
Alt var godt... ... med undtagelse af værelset, som var virkelig fesent ift. resten af hotellets fremtoning.
Booking.com plejer ar medtage skat og afgifter (modsat hotels.com) så vi var lidt utilfredse med at blive opkrævet ca 60 dollars ekstra pr. døgn.
Godt beliggende hotel med en meget god stemning. Alt fungerer godt og man slapper af under hele opholdet.

The rooms were beautifully updated and luxurious. The location is perfect. The only thing that we didn't like was the very, very long wait for room service, especially when it was obvious that the hotel had few guests that weekend.

Quiet and luxury. I think is too expensive comparing with Plaza were I was for 3 nights on the same trip.
The hotel and staff were pleasant. Our room was nice and clean. Rooms are small but we expected that. The hotel is very busy. We were there for fun and enjoyed the craziness. New York never sleeps, but I like to. Bring ear plugs if you stay in Time Square. New Yorkers like their car horns.

The staff are very friendly, helpful and efficient, especially Justyna from Reception/Reservation. Location is awesome. The hotel has a great security policy. We felt secured. The hotel physical looks need to be updated and maintained. This may upgrade the hotel in general and compete with other hotels in the area.
Room was clean. The ugly bath tub. Noisy heating system and bad pluming pipes made a awful noise all night . Didn't sleep well and was up early and checked out. This hotel was recommended to my spouse and I.
Location wasn't too bad. Very close to Times square. Walking distance to Broadway shows and shops. Extremely small bathroom with no ventilation. Walls are thin. Could here everything going on outside like the windows we open even though they weren't. No dresser to put clothes in. Very basic. Loud air conditioner. Laundry facilities would help a lot! Took forever to get an elevator bc they were always full. St Front desk staff not so friendly. Conceirse service not useful at all. Didn't even try to help us figure out things to do. Very disappointed.

With its location just hard to compete but, anything beyond that is not remarkable. The hotel old fashioned, we change three rooms and still have not found a room that has hot water which meets our demands. Only after a number of requests thay sent a plumber who fixed the problem. Very suitable for those who want mainly to visit the city and get a good-value because of the location. This huge hotel stay can not offer much more.
I thought the hotel had some very positive attributes such as the entertance to the building and the location of the hotel but these positive atrributes were over shadowed by the disappointing service I had encountered here I was extremely unsatisfied with the service at the hotel. When I first arrived in my hotel room I found that the bathroom door knob was somewhat broken and the toilet handle was difficult to use making it hard to flush at times. My room was supposed to come with a coffee maker in it and there was not one. I was not upset with that fact but what did upset me was that when I called to have one delivered, I was told that one would be brought up right away. This however was not the case, I called the front desk again about 20 or so minutes later and they apologized and told me one would be sent up. Another 15 minutes went by and I was still kept waiting for the coffee maker. I called the front desk for a third time and they transferred me somewhere in the hotel where I was told that the person that was to bring the coffee went on lunch, considering I called way before noon this was very frustrating. After waiting a whole hour I finally received the coffee machine and to my surprise was just a simple keurig machine that anyone could of brought up to my room. Another issue that I faced here was upon checking out. I had called the front desk an hour and a half before it was time to check out to have them send security to my room because the safe was no longer working and to have them bring my car out of the parking garage, they asked for my ticket number which was to be given to me by the doorman at my arrival, sadly no such ticket was given to me when the doorman took my car.The front desk basically told me there was nothing they could do without the ticket number and sent my call to the doorman for him to assist me. I waited on the line and the phone just continued to ring with no response. I called back to the front desk after a period of time because I was still waiting for security to open the safe and to get the car issue settled and ended up being transferred from person to person and no one was helping me locate my car. It became evident that I would have to go to the front desk to get this handle because nothing was getting handled. At the desk they insisted that I had received a ticket, which was 100 percent false if I had received the ticket I wouldn't have been in the situation I was in. It wasn't until a manager came over and took over and helped my situation by having the doorman go an physically check the lot for my car, and when he returned I was again forced to wait at least another half an hour to get my car which I didn't quite understand why it wasn't taken out of the lot while the doorman was already over there. I really am not one to complain but when I'm paying over 500 dollars to stay at a hotel I'd expect my service to be much better than the way I was treated.

Lovely location, very good service. The room was very nice but the bathroom was quite poor in comparison. Enjoyed Sunday brunch. Had a problem with checking in....had the reservation under the wrong name. Didn't like breakfast in Oscars...the food was poor and the coffee was cold
We think this is the best boutique hotel in New York. Impeccable service, historic surroundings, magnificent public rooms. Great room service food. A bit pricey, but so is everything in NYC.
It is successfully located - in the center of Manhattan, near to city centre and sights Stopped in 5* parts of hotel. All strongly become outdated, noise both from street, and from the lift and hotel, the sanitary technician and other demands serious reconstruction. Full not conformity to the price offer. A level 3* plus.
The views from our tower room were amazing. Staff were helpful and courteous. I would especially like to thank Ces for his personalised service, even though the shuttle did not not pick us up. We were given the wrong information regarding where to board our shuttle service and consequently, missed our transfer to the airport. The shuttle service was rung by reception at the hotel, but the company told us we had been given the wrong information as to where to meet the shuttle and they were not willing to provide us with another service to the airport. We then had the added expense of a taxi fare to JFK, to meet our flight. I did not appreciate this. Also, given the cost of accommodation, I would like to have seen internet access built into the price, not as an additional cost to the customer.
The beds were super comfortable and the decor was amazing ! I live in New York and I felt like a tourist there . The lounge needs to stay open later . I wanted to enjoy it more .

Very comfortable beds with beautiful luxury shits with silky finish. aircondition was not working well and making it worse buy high temerature of 40° BUT STAFF WAS VERY HELPFUL BUYING SMALL AIR CONDITIONS FOR EACH ROOM ! Special treatment only for guests with american express credit card, it would be nice if that treatment is extended to those traveling with visa gold card.

good personal service and good location my deluxe room which is more expensive than their standard and superior rooms already was very small for the price i paid even in nyc. also tiny closet space and drawer space.
The hotel staff was - without any exception - very committed and excellently prepared to facilitate all guest needs immediately Concierge recommended a restaurant (the water's edge) to follow the 4th of July fireworks, but from there one could not see even one rocket. A lot of money wasted for nothing.

Pristine gym and pool, stylish service and friendly staff but not snobby. Great turn down service. Amazing bathroom and overall decor. Very clean and new. We went with our 4 year old. They where nice to us even though we had a little kid with us. We used to live on NYC but now are just visitors. So this hotel is perfect location. I will only stay here from now on in NYC. No complaints

i usually stay at the four season but this time i wanted an old fashioned new york experience,and it was perfect. the safe did not function in my suite
The safety and convenience of being right in downtown. Easy walking to anywhere. Not much at all.
The afternoon tea. The complimentary champagne provided by guest services. The quality of the food. not being able to get a reservation for dinner at the Cafe Carlyle. Room service was slow in the mornings, great in the evenings.
The decor and availability of room service as well as the location The hotel is very small and cramped. The floor we stayed on had a horrible fried food odor that was overwhelming every day of our stay. I did not feel that the overall quality was representative of a 5-star hotel.
The Chatwal fires on all cylinders. Every need is attended to. Expensive, but worthwhile. The bathroom was amazing, but using the shower at full pressure actually caused a bit of a flood. The climate and lighting control is handled by a single touch-screen unit, but its operation is a little complicated. Light-switches shouldn't be confusing.
