Fordele: The proprietors were lovely. The best part of staying there was they picked us up from the airport one day and drove us there the next for our flight out. It was so nice not to have to worry about transportation. Breakfast was made to order and very good. Bed was comfortable. Room spacious enough. Good restaurants in walking distance.

Fordele: We had an early start, so a quick breakfast, but good.

Ulemper: Had to close the windows as it's by a busy road. Further away from the terminal then expected.

Ulemper: A bit more attention to detail, Unable to open bedroom window, shower head needed a deep clean, and a bit mold around bedroom window. No shade on bedroom light fitting, but none of this affect our stay.

Fordele: The guest house was convenient to Gatwick.On the whole the guest house was clean although there were some cobwebs on the walls of our room.

Ulemper: Our stay was marred by a mix up about payment,the handling of this was very poor.Our friends expected a bar,there was no help in lifting heavy cases up 2 flights of stairs.The breakfast was not traditionally British.There was no bacon on the menu and the avocado on toast was mashed very sparingly.I must say the lady waiting on us at breakfast was very helpful and ran around looking after guests under difficult circumstances. To add to the general dissatisfaction water poured through the dining room ceiling during breakfast through a lighting fitment which sort of summed up my feelings on our stay. There was no help in putting cases into the car(owned by the guest house)We we told that 2 taxis had been ordered to ferry the 6 of us to the airport and one did not arrive?Hence the guest house took one car with two journeys?

Ulemper: The property was fine. We made arrangements for a late check in but the host pretended she didn’t get the email. The checkout time was 10:00am (earliest we have ever seen) and at 9:35 am we had a knock on the door asking when we would be gone

Fordele: Great guesthouse just off the town centre. Plenty of restaurants and pubs close by. Or to tired for that then get a takeaway delivered. Friendly welcome and super modern inside this place is top rate.

Fordele: The place was Lovely. Very clean, and quiet. The. Host was very friendly and helpful.

Fordele: Very close to Gatwick airport. Hosts arranged a pick up and drop off for £8 for 2 people and luggage each way. It was clean and comfortable. There were pubs and restaurants within a few minutes walk. Staff were welcoming.

Ulemper: I let them know about food intolerances well ahead of time, they told me to bring my own bread. Other places we stayed always arranged bread, yoghurt, milk etc. it was all business not about relating to guests. Welcoming but not friendly.

Fordele: We were tired & exhausted from our early start to the day & they were quick to pick us up from Gatwick airport. We were also able to check in a little early. I had requested a first floor room & they explained the one they had ready for me but it was very small & would I like a bigger room (that was a little further away). I was not feeling well, but my partner who had lunch & dinner at the Corner House said the food was very good. I did have a continental breakfast the next morning & it was all good. We also took the shuttle back to the airport in a timely manner. All the people working there were friendly & helpful. If we come through again we'll be sure to start there.

Ulemper: the room was very hot, a little smelly and no soap - nothing that couldn't be fixed there and then I'm sure, but I arrived late and was very tired to inform the staff at the time.

Ulemper: upon check in I was advised that our room was up 2 flights of stairs, no lift, and no offer of assistance with our luggage! I am just turning 70 and my husband is 73 and has Parkinson's , with 4 suitcases to lug up the narrow stairs. I was not impressed, the phone lines were to working so I was unable to contact relatives of safe arrival, so no I was not impressed and would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Fordele: You don't have to leave as they cater for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Staff are very accommodating, meals are delicious, room was spacious and bed very comfortable. Lovely clean and tidy place. They also have a shuttle bus service to and from Gatwick Airport for a small fee. Was only here for 1 night so not sure what's around the area as I didn't go exploring. Would definitely stay here again.

Ulemper: Check in took 2 1/2 hours bc we requested 2 twin beds that were not ready when we arrived. Also the receptionist tried charging us twice for breakfast. Also the same receptionist wanted to charge my friend £10 for EACH hour she occupied the room past the checkout time, bc this is what they pay their chambermaid to stay late to clean the room after she leaves. Really? This is just bad business.

Fordele: Great shuttle service to and from Gatwick. Reasonable breakfast. Friendly staff with a personal touch.

Ulemper: It took me three attempts to get an answer when I phoned from Gatwick to say we had landed, which was unsettling. Although I had stated we had one vegetarian in our group, there were no vegetarians options available for the breakfast apart from full English without the meat items - some vegetarian sausages would have been good. There was a sloping ceiling over the single bed which made for needing extra care when moving about.

Fordele: The location was the best thing about this hotel if we had know that we was going to be put in one of the chalet rooms we wouldn't of booked here and to make matters worse the toilet seat was hanging off would not stay in this part of the hotel again

Ulemper: Front desk staff very rude when told about old blood stains on bedsheet, and phone in the room not working to make a call to the front desk to rearrange shuttle time (due to delayed flight out). Is there anything else you'd like to moan about?

Fordele: Lovely spacious ground floor room, clean and comfortable just what was needed. Cooked breakfast was very welcome and delicious.

Fordele: The home cooked breakfast was excellent. The owners were extremely hospitable an friendly, going out of their way to fit our considerable number of cases into their Audi for the trip to the airport. The property is within a short walking distance of Horley town centre and is minutes away from Gatwick Airport by car or train.

Fordele: Stayed here twice. Lovely Inn. Horley is a pretty little town. Worth seeing!

Fordele: It was our second time there and we really like it because it feels very homey and cozy. A relaxing place to stay before a flight OR after.

Ulemper: I do wish they served breakfast just a little bit longer for this who come in on really late night flights and are quite jet lagged in the morning.

Fordele: Host readily arranged for our early morning cab to the airport. Easy to walk into town for a meal. Room was available upon early arrival. Shuttle pickup from airport was prompt.

Ulemper: The room was a bit crowded.

Fordele: Brilliant location for Gatwick - only 10 minutes away. Lovely friendly and helpful staff. My car is parked there while I'm away and they do a drop off and collection service to/from the airport.

Ulemper: An illuminated roadside sign would've been helpful, it's in a dimly lit road and not easy to spot B&B. Minor niggle.

Ulemper: We arrived on foot and had wheelie cases. The driveway is gravel and we had to carry them over it.

Fordele: As we were delayed coming back for 5 hours the owners very kindly left the keys outside so we could let ourselves in .Room was very nice .very cosy .we had a great night sleep .would recommend staying there it's lovley

Fordele: It was a lodge, which was convenient for a night's sleep, shared bathroom and clean. It did what it said on the tin.

Fordele: Proprietor very kind and organised, room very comfortable and up to date with all necessary facilities, very close to the airport but nice and quiet.

Fordele: Well located, clean and convenient - excellent value for money. Despite the fact that we didn’t interact with the hosts in person as we arrived after check in had closed, the communication via booking.com and the notes they left meant everything was seamless in terms of entry and then the transfer to the airport in the morning. Complimentary taxi to the airport was a big factor in our booking. Tea and coffee facilities in the room which were helpful for the early start.

Ulemper: Nothing. It’s dated in terms of decor so some guests may not like that, same with the shared bathrooms. But that’s all advertised and you can’t complain for the price.

Fordele: Masslink it is my favorite guest house. I am back often. Thank you.

Ulemper: Very basic. It looks like the cleaning lady did her best doing the cooking for the guests in the kitchen and it showed. The room looks like a conversion from a garage done by workers hired from the street. The rest is up to your imagination.

Fordele: The staff and the room were great, comfortable, clean and pick up and drop off service was right on time. The location is perfect as one can walk into the village for a pre flight stretch.

Ulemper: The salad in the restaurant was terrible -just allot of meat and mush of dressing. Would have liked more lettuce as that is what a salad is. A nice fresh salad of another type should be on the menu. Pre flight meals should be light. The price of the stay is as high as the airport hotels. I will check all costs such as the drop off fee and rooms fee next time to see which is the better value.

Fordele: Opholdsstedet ligger meget tæt ved lufthavnen uden flystøj. Vældig god thai-restaurant i gå-afstand.

Fordele: The property is close to Gatwick Airport. They provide a shuttle for £6 each way. Breakfast is simple but good.

Ulemper: The property, although clean, could benefit from a little TLC, eg, a coat of paint, carpet replaced.

Fordele: The Gatwick is a great location to Gatwick airport. Parking was ok. Facilities were good and beds comfortable. Pretty easy to find and get to.

Ulemper: The downside is that the outside rooms face the carpark. If anyone is outside either smoking or talking it is noisy in the room. Particularly difficult if people are smoking if the windows are open because of the heat.

Fordele: Very comfortable beds. Good room size. Value for money.

Ulemper: Bigger bath towels needed. Some items of buffet breakfast were cold. Not enough milk provided in room (6 pots for 3 people)

Fordele: The property served our purpose, close to Gatwick. The room was adequate for a short stay. The staff were friendly and informative.

Ulemper: The bathroom facilities were very cramped.

Fordele: Bed extremely comfortable. Excellent breakfast, homemade cake & tea on arrival and extremely clean house.

Fordele: The welcome the smooth airport transfer. Decor. Relaxed varied breakfast. A very good nights sleep.

Ulemper: I struggled with the door lock on my room very stiff. I would have preferred en-suite but realised it would not always be possible in an old house.

Fordele: The efficiency in the running of the guest house was plain to see from check in to check out. The Art Deco theme was really classy and made such a change from the usual boring chintz curtains and pine furniture. The transport included to and from Gatwick was an added bonus.

Ulemper: Understandably you do have to pay extra for parking but not a criticism

Fordele: Typically British. Very cozy structure - very polite and competent staff. Picture truly respect rooms and place. Silent and just a 5 min walk off the city centre

Fordele: Wendy kindly picked us up from the station and checked us in. She then took us to the airport early on a cold morning! Far better experience than sitting in a charmless hotel in Gatwick.

Ulemper: The info on free shuttle was a bit misleading as it only ran up to a certain time, which was earlier than my arrival time. However it was easily remedied so no real hassle.

Fordele: very uncomfortable i paid £87 for this room and found myself sleeping on a matress topper!!! was in agony when I woke up not fair as i had a really important meeting to attend the following day!

Ulemper: the comfort and i could hear someone talking above me all night walls not very thick!

Ulemper: Room 202 was VERY noisy. I could not sleep due to the window in the passage way being open. I did not discover this until I left the room. I booked out at 03:50 as it was hopeless to try and sleep. I had to be up at 05:30 to get to Gatwick airport.

Fordele: Convenient for airport. Our room was ready early for us. Receptionist tried several times to download our boarding passes for us but there was a problem. She didn't want to give up.

Ulemper: Had asked for and told would have a ground floor room (arthritis), but placed on first floor in Room 7- very small and above Reception and entrance to first floor, so potentially noisy if they had more guests. No staff on premises overnight.

Fordele: Super friendly and helpful, everything great except beds were super uncomfortable, the rest is fantastic.

Ulemper: The sheets didn't fit the bed so it was uncomfortable and the duvet was also too small which meant the covers didn't cover us properly.

Ulemper: Difficulty understanding the staff over the phone. Did not have good reception on Wi-Fi in the room. There was a charge for shuttle pick up at the airport and drop off that was not indicated on the email notifications. There are no outlets near the bed.

Fordele: The airport transfer was excellent. We called and they came ten minutes later. Breakfast was nice.

Ulemper: There was a big spider in the room and the window was open! There were no tioletries in the room except a qaurter of an inch in a soap dispenser. The tea cup was dirty. The knob on the radiator was snapped off. The whole hotel urgently needs refurbishment and was shabby throughout. It was very unclear what to do at breakfast and what you could have. Staff tried to help even though there was a language barrier.

Ulemper: It is, as many people noted, a somewhat tired hotel. Not recommended for a romantic weekend break for example. You get what you pay for. Poor Wi-Fi.

Fordele: Great front desk staff. Close location to the airport.

Ulemper: Three of us could not figure out how to work the shower. Instruction would have been helpful.

Ulemper: the wifi wasn’t working

Fordele: The breakfast was good. The lobby staff were helpful. The bar was spectacular.

Ulemper: The rooms did not have personal AC and all they had was a heater. There was one fan although there were multiple beds. All outlets were British standard 3-pin with no American-style outlets and therefore my colleagues and I were not able to charge our laptops and phones. I am allergic to gluten and although I asked the barrister and chef whether a certain sausage had flour and was told that it did not, the sausage clearly had a flour crust and dough inside and I got sick as a result.

Ulemper: The room was very hot & the AC did not work at all. The front desk promised tp send up a fan. The fan never arrived.

Fordele: Next to Gatwick

Ulemper: Dingy, mediocre staff, inadequate supplies (toilet paper was scarce), over priced mediocre food, thin walls

Ulemper: Dining room was closed and the whole hotel was in need of a makeover. It just felt rather tired.

Fordele: Pænt badeværelse

Ulemper: Beskidte vægge og gulv. Personalet virkede ikke så venlige.
