Fordele: Location is fantastic. Right opposite the Grove pub, and local shops. Very easy and convenient walk to Hammersmith station. Overall, this is a nice street with lots of amenities. The WiFi and facilities like the laundry room were all easily accessible and well-maintained. Staff polite and unobtrusive. Location would be the biggest draw for me to book here again.

Fordele: Clean room, very comfortable. Nice shower, the bed is great, did sleep very well. The welcome enveloppe was very nice. Fortunately i brougth my earplugs. Needed because some guests in room above me are walking very loud in the room. It seemed like they were walking a marathon or something like that... But hotel can't help that. No airconditioning so it can be very warm in the room, but you have a ventilator in the room, that helped. Location is close to Hammersmith tube station, very good connection with al the parts in London.

Ulemper: ... but let down by the obvious corners cut in construction, such as the lack of shaver socket and the decision to not fill the hole in the floor of our room prior to laying laminate flooring over the top. While I understand the use of mattress protectors (most hotels use them), the management would have been better placed selecting a version that did not incorporate a layer of plastic, which makes for a very uncomfortable night's sleep, even on a cool night.

Ulemper: The check-in time of 14:00 seems to be understood differently from other ordinary hotels, i.e. something inflexible, and I wished I had been warned somehow. I arrived 15 min earlier, found no doors would open, was told over the phone that somebody would come to help and nobody actually did. Everything worked at 14:01. The areas where you need to be cautious about narrow, steep stairs as well as coding of door opening, are too dim. Wished the room had a little more space but tried convince myself, given it's London. The housekeeping ladies seemed, although delivering a good job, to use their linguistic obstacle as a tool of avoiding complications.

Ulemper: The size of the room for 2 people is pretty tight. Also a few design choices in the room were a bit annoying. For example the bathroom has a pretty artsy glazed door. This looks great. However, I tend to leave for work a lot earlier than my wife and when I turn on the light in the bathroom, it is enough to wake her, even through the closed door.

I would highly recommend this hotel and if you stay and want a recommendation for an Italian restaurant try ‘Il Gusto’ on King. Just a 12 minute walk and such a great find. Also the Queens Head is a short walk and quite good for fish and chips and drinks.

I did highlight this but was told it was secure - but is was not as it did not even have the padlock next to it. Limited Freeview on the TV, which I did not understand as it is 'free' so should only need tuning in?

The bathroom while not large was brand new, classy and modern, with all the amenities you need. Felt luxurious for the price point. There was also a safe in the room and it was very quiet. You also needed a key to use the elevators which i like for extra feeling of security.

Ulemper: Some may say the rooms were not large enough but it was just fine for 1-2 people. The hallways could have been a bit brighter but I think that was the intention, to set a mood. Not the most upscale area but did have the nice mall and some good restaurants right outside the door, and the neighborhood still felt safe and was convenient to the train station.

Ulemper: Personalet i receptionen var ikke specielt imødekommende eller serviceminded. Vi fik et forkert værelse (handicapværelse, beregnet til én person i kørestol) på trods af at have bestilt næsten 2 måneder i forvejen. Da vi gjorde opmærksom på dette i receptionen, var der ingen undskyldning eller beklagelse over fejltagelsen, men blot et svar der lød at vi kunne få et nyt værelse dagen efter omkring middag. Desuden blev vores nøglekort hverdag deaktiveret, så vi måtte i receptionen og have dem ordnet. Desværre virkede badeværelset ikke specielt vedligeholdt da toiletpapirholderen var i stykker, fliserne løse og badet havde en muggen lugt. Da vi var her for 4 år siden var standard og kvalitet noget bedre!

Ulemper: We got a room on the 1st floor that stinks of cooking smell which I believe came from the restaurant below. However, the staff provided us with another room which was in the same floor which didn't solve the smell issue. The bathroom of the new room was so small, the door should be closed in order to get into the shower. And that's a deluxe room!

Ulemper: Bestilling af taxa. Vi bad hotellet bestille en taxa til søndag 3.2. til kl. 6.45. Vi gjorde det i receptionen lørdag aften. Der kom en vogn, som hverken brugte taxameter eller kunne tage mod kort. Formentlig en uautoriseret taxa. Det er uacceptabelt, at et professionelt hotel bestiller en taxa, som ikke er en officiel taxa. Det bør følges op og kritiseres kraftigt.

Ulemper: Not much - there is no need to complain about the size of the rooms because it’s stated in the website exactly how many qm the rooms are so one should know what to expect. There is definitely not enough space for big suitcases but perfect for a short stay in London.

Ulemper: Walls were paper thin. I was woken up both nights at 4am with noisy people upstairs, next door and in the corridor. Real shame to mention this but it did impair my expectations of the hotel. Ulemper: The room door was just near by the end of the stairs and the sight of the window of that single room is almost closed by most probably air conditioning's outside module. There was a quite nasty smell when you enter the room, most probably due to lack of air flow and the room's position as below entrance level.

Asked housekeeping to leave towels outside room both days as I didn't want my room cleaning , but both days they bang on door "housekeeping" I got charge £2 a bottle of water even though they put one in when they clean the room usually. Asked for tea and coffee this morning and they knocked on door , by the time I got up to open they let them selves in , even with do not disturb sign on door and I didnt have clothes on . I paid £777 for 3 nights got put in a smaller room than usual as they were busy . Honestly never again

Ulemper: The bar staff (not from UK so could be forgiven for confusion) then reception (same) refused to take perfectly legal STERLING in the form of Scottish bank notes. Sterling is sterling, not matter whether it is from Scotland or Northern Ireland. Scotland being a part of the UK and using the same currency as London. Staff need to be educated in this. They said it was a directive from head office, so maybe it’s they who need to be educated. My bill was passed under the fluorescent light and shown to be legal and was still not accepted. This is not on, sort it out.

Ulemper: Extremely disappointed I came for a book convention and to spend time with friends I thought I’d booked the right hotel but I didnt First room was damp and had mould second room air conditioning didn’t work and spend the night freezing and both myself and my friend are ill third room was ok then fourth room we got changed to an executive suite if you can call it that. This room was bigger but in desperate need of an update. Then the heating wouldn’t work and there was a leak in the bathroom all night and I have pictures to prove it. Myself and my friend woke up with bites over us. Overall I’m extremely disappointed as this ruined our time in London. Yes we got a little discount but we had to fight for that with an extremely arrogant manager.

The room was comfortable and clean with a really good bathroom (shower only), good comfortable beds, enough wardrobe space, a mini fridge and I loved there were plugs beside the beds. Very well located public transport wise, many buses lines stoped in less that 500m radious, the tube was just beside the hotel, the Westtfield mall was a three minutes walk away, and had all kinds of restaurants and several supermarkets around. The shepher's bush Market was just in front of the hotel. Didn't gave the full 10 scaore cause it had no restaurant for breakfast inside the hotel (had a bar for drinks though), but it was no problem as we could have our own staff in the room or just walk 10 metres for a variety of places to eat. Next time in London I am so repeating this hotel. In my experience, best hotel I have ever stayed in London and much cheaper than others that were much worse. And the Wifi worked really well.

Ulemper: Der var KOLDT på badeværelset, men det var også meget koldt udenfor - og det hjalp hurtigt at tænde el-radiatoren i værelset og lade døren til badeværelset stå åben ... og at lægge et håndklæde på gulvet :-) Det lille køleskab virkede ikke, hvilket måtte påtales 2 morgener, før det blev ordnet - men den søde pige i receptionen beklagede meget - og større katastrofe var det jo heller ikke :-) Glasset i vinduet i mit værelse var matteret, så man ikke kunne se ud på omgivelserne, nok fordi det vendte mod en baggård. Jeg ville nu nok alligevel have foretrukket klart glas, men eftersom jeg kun opholdt mig på værelset morgen og aften/nat, er det absolut ikke det, der ville medføre en dårlig anbefaling fra mig.

Fordele: Location is super near to the subway, also if you like to party all the time the bar is good and always full of people and for me was perfect because it have live football , the bed have USB and charger points, everyone have a curtains to his bed which is very comfortable, breakfast for 4£ wasn’t much but many of the visitors say it’s good, for me not

Ulemper: That they want to charge anything, it wasn’t comfortable for me to feel that the hostel is trying to charge me anything, lockers to leave your bags for 5£ a day, rooms are small and lockers inside it is very tiny and you can’t put your bags inside it which means everyone inside the room leave his bag beside him and makes the rooms more smaller.

Ulemper: -no communal space, the bar downstairs is way too noisy to chill. -not much space so lady’s room was very small. -a microwave and a mini-fridge full to the brim (unusable) doesn’t constitute a kitchen. I got misled by the mention of a « communal kitchen » and had to buy my food out with barely a space to eat it

Fordele: I think that according to price it was acceptable. Accommodation is suitable for travelers which need room just for sleep over night. Room was clean and modesty furnished. There is also fridge in a room. Common toilets and showers were modern and more or less clean - they can't influence hygienic standards of visitors :) Location was also good - there are various restaurants around, metro in 10 min and store (tesco).

Ulemper: The staff were not too helpful, and the general cleanliness of the place was not good. The bedsheets and towels were clean but everything else was very dirty.

Ulemper: We had booked a twin and were given two sets of bunk beds. Totally unsuitable. I wonder how they chose who to let down. On our floor there were three shared toilets but loads of kitchens no one used.

Ulemper: Very noisy..doors all slam loudly all night. Like, ALL NIGHT LONG! Slam, slam, slam. No cold water in the shower room basins to clean teeth, have to go to the toilets to find a cold water tap. No clothes hooks or shelves in shower stall, only on outside wall. Ok if you want to be naked in public. Kitchens are bare. Crockery and silverware are in room but no kitchen equipment at all. Bring your own pots, pans, frypans, bowls, cooking utensils, tea towels - really!! Nothing to dry your hands on in toilets- no paper towels, no hand dryer. The only room power points are down below the headboard of the bed. The mattresses are worn and squeaky.

Ulemper: The bed in our room was terrible for me - the mattress was too soft and I had back pain from it. The sheet traveled during night with each my movement and in morning I woke up on bare bed. And I don't think that I'm so active during night. Also the door wasn't soundproofed too much - we hear everything through it. I was glad that we had quiet neighbors, we hear each time when somebody appeared in the corridor. Showers were unpractical for me - I didn't have any space to put there my cosmetic bag.

Ulemper: The room was boiling and when asking for a fan was told that they have air con. It was in use but wasn't circulating or cooling much at all with a lowest temp of 19 degrees c and the fan all the way up. When we returned on the second day it had even been turned off meaning the room was still boiling again. Some lights didn't work, the chair upholstery was ripped and the lights flickered throughout.
