Fordele: My daughter and I were greeted like we were royalty. Everybody is friendly, efficient and professional. The Ritz is gorgeous and always clean.
The servers are very proper and the food was fabulous.
I would highly recommend The Ritz, because you will certainly not be disappointed.

Ulemper: Alt andet - høfligt, men meget uhjælpsomt personale til at løse problemer og få gæsterne til at føle sig godt tilpas. Langsom service - værelset var ikke tilgængeligt til tiden - udsigten fra værelset så på damprør. Et af mine mest skuffende hotelophold sammenlignet med forventningerne (og jeg besøger London 6-10x årligt).
Værelset var gammelt (det var rent) og ikke opdateret for et luksushotel.

Fordele: The room was well set out with an extra bed for a 3rd adult. The beds were all comfortable and the sound proofing was excellent so we all got a good nights sleep. Useful in room safe and tea/ coffee making facilities. The breakfast was excellent with a wide ranging fresh buffet and hot food cooked to order. The best thing however was the staff. They were all friendly and helpful and went above and beyond to make our stay extra special as my daughter celebrated her 21st birthday. They arranged a bottle of Prosseco and chocolate strawberries as well as a card and balloons! Fantastic and huge thanks go to Beth and Kostatin for all their care and attention. The restaurant was also excellent, a new experience for us to have Peruvian food and the staff were helpful with reccommendations.

Fordele: Hotellet har en vidunderlig beliggenhed, men i forhold til prisen var værelset meget lille og det samme var sengen. Badeværelset havde badekar men var dårligt indrettet så håndklæderne skulle hænge over toilettet, og badekarret var underligt fladt. Morgenmaden var god, men man skal vente for længe på de varme retter. Hvis hotellet ikke havde været så dyrt havde vi været meget tilfredse, men til den pris var der meget lidt komfort på værelset.

Hvor grotesk er det, at I “glemmer” at informere os om den årlige tilbagevendende nytårs-parade, som lukker det meste af det indre London ned for trafik, og dermed giver os store transportmæssige problemer, både ved hjemtransport fra nytårsaften, og ikke mindst ved afgang fra hotellet til lufthavnen med alt vores bagage!!!!!

Fordele: We were surprised by the quality of breakfast especially as the breakfast area was quite small but everything was so fresh and flavourful and of a really high standard. They kept replenishing the breakfast area as well. We really enjoyed our stay and ended up staying in our room longer than we thought as we had a terrace and everything was so nice and comfortable. Really liked the bar area too.

Ulemper: I didn't like the perfume pumped through the air-con in the corridors and bedrooms. Infact we had to be moved as I suffer from asthma and it was effecting my breathing to a none perfumed floor (5) and room. The corridors are too dark, felt like a ship..

Fordele: Great pillows & bed. Thomas was fantastic & very helpful in directions. The check in staff did not advise that reservations were necessary for the rooftop bar - our 3 guests arrived, my husband requested the lift they called up & said it was ok. When my husband & guests got to the rooftop, they were seated in the restaurant. I managed to get it sorted out & we were “squeezed” in - very embarrassing. Your staff needs to advise hotel guests that RESERVATIONS are required.

Ulemper: Value for money - this hotel was similarly priced to 5 star London hotels but it does not deliver a similar experience. Housekeeping consisted of having the bed made (no turn down service or tidying). Poor hairdryer and minibar (they’ve opted for an ‘all inclusive’ style minibar which consists of water and Coca Cola, no snacks at all - would rather a chargeable bar with wider selection if that is how the hotel intends to play it). Breakfast is weird - they have a buffet and a la carte style (all a la carte items are charged additionally - fine but not fine to charge for a cappuccino or any other type of coffee that is not filter).

Fordele: The staff was exceptional - very nice, accommodating, helpful. Everyone was good doorman, reception, concierge, waiters, etc. They helped us with our luggage. They picked us up at the corner of the street with a trolley since cars can’t come into Leicester Square at a certain time. The family room was so big, fit all 4 of us and enough room for our huge luggages. It had a view of Leicester Square. The breakfast was great! It had a lot of great options. There was Nespresso in the room, as well.

Fordele: I respect the Night duty manager on the date I arrived as I have arrived earlier than expected and did not have a room for me. He was very nice, considerate : he offered water, drinks, a blanket and made sure I get a room as FAST as he could. Thank you again also for the hospitality of ALL staff from desk, vallet, food, room services. THEY ARE SO GREAT. THE VALLET GUY EVERY MORNING IS JUST F A N T A S T I C It is sad that construction works are blocking the road towards your hotel. Hope this will clear very soon and YOU SHOULD mention this in the information before guests making the booking. Thank you, Maimuna

Fordele: Stayed 1 night at the hotel, located in the heart of soho, very accessible to many eateries and shopping. The room was clean and comfortable. The only thing I did not like about it, was that the shower seemed quite week. All the staff were friendly and very helpful. Overall a great stay.

Ulemper: We did not feel like we are in hotel. Not for that price. The room was tiny. Going to the room requered to open few doors and some with a card. It is not what you expect from 4 starts maybe from a motel.

Ulemper: -For the price that we paid, I would have expected the rooms to be much bigger, and in general to be much nicer. (Also, they have these horrid faux fur throws on the end of the bed. Why? It adds nothing in terms of style and is outdated) -No bar or restaurant although they provide places locally to get a bite to eat. -The hotel is split into two parts and the hallways are so dark you can get a bit lost.

Ulemper: Jeg syntes ikke om at hver gang en på etagen over os gik på toilettet eller var i bad var det som om vi boede i et skur med blik tag - det var helt vildt som det larmede i rørene ( ihvertfald på 226) Så syntes jeg ikke om at ikke alle fik serveret champagne ved tjekind . Jeg syntes ikke om at den mandlige receptionist var meget opmærksom på hvad jeg ville rate dem på tripadvisor og oplyste at jeg ville få 10% på næste ophold hvis jeg gav dem 5 stjerner og nævnte hans navn - som han var så flink at stave for mig.

Ulemper: Men eneste minus var støjgener fra undergrounden ( nærmest døgnet rundt!) og diverse håndværkere i baggården, det ville have været rart at have vidst på forhånd, så havde vi nok booket andetsteds!

Ulemper: Har en lille check-in-skranke midt i caféen, som var overfyldt, da jeg ankom. Jeg har været nødt til at vente i mere end 10 minutter for at tjekke ind og ud. De virker lidt uorganiserede foran og kunne bruge et ordentligt receptionsområde.

Ulemper: Was on a business trip and an iron would have been useful. Great sound insulation save could hear running water from showers in other rooms - it was that or very noisy air-con. Not sure paying for a room with windows was worth it as was on the ground floor with opaque windows that were directly onto the pavement outside so just pulled down blackout blinds.

Ulemper: The size of room with double bed was very small. You can get down from the bed only from one side, this is inconvenient with two persons sharing the bed. There is hardly any space to keep the suitcases or shopping bags.

Ulemper: The room was very small Unfortunately for me the day I checked in the aircon wasn’t working so you can imagine after traveling from the middle of England to London I was hoping to rest when I arrived, but the room was so hot I couldn’t. It was August and 30 degrees so this was rather dissatisfying. The hotel did put a small fan in my room but I wasn’t able to sleep very well due to the discomfort. The hotel offered me a complimentary Breakfast

Fordele: Our room & ensuite were very clean & comfortable and we really enjoyed the Rooftop cafe/bar. After we settled into our room we went up to the Rooftop bar and enjoyed a cool drink and enjoyed a fantastic view. We returned later in the evening and had tapas and another drink before heading out to see a show. The hotel was in a good location, not far from transport services. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Nothing a problem.

Ulemper: the entire bathroom is glass so if you're using it w/the lights on you can basically see your hotel mate using the facilities. a bit odd, tho the design is pleasing.

Ulemper: We paid £280 for one night in a small box room. There was no privacy in the bathroom, with only a frosted glass partition divide to the bedroom. This may be ok for singles and the younger generation, but I wouldn't recommend for mature or senior guests. Only one lift was working, which meant quite a cue in reception. The hotel promotes their skyline restaurant , it wasn't that clean, service was average and breakfast was very expensive. The next time we book a hotel in London I will make sure we have a room with a private bathroom / en suite. Very degrading

Sengene er gode at sove i og personalet er søde og hjælpsomme. Hvis jeg skal til London igen, er det bestemt ikke udelukket at jeg besøger Assembly igen :-)

Location is a great plus given I had a short stay in London and carrying a few pieces of luggage; saving on travelling time was useful. Charging points abundant in the room and a/c control was effective and had multiple options to choose from to optimise temperature in the room. Shower area was comfortable and clean.

Fordele: Great location - we were going for dinner on Victoria Embankment and then a show at Aldwych Theatre so the hotel was really easy to get to and from. Just a short walk from Leicester Square tube station if you're travelling from Euston train station. Check-in was quick and easy, too. The lights in the corridors leading to the rooms are quite dim and the decor's quite dark so part of me wondered what type of hotel it was; especially walking into the room and seeing a huge pink rabbit! Plus straps with buckles on the bed's headboard! We stayed on the eight floor so had good views of London's skyline. The room itself had enough space (we had a 'Nest' room which is classed as superior double on some other agent sites) and included a small sofa, big bed, some hangers on a rail next to the bed, a small ledge next to one side of the bed and a little 'hole' in the edging around the bed to store a book or something. Plenty of plug sockets around the room, full length mirror built into the sliding door to the bathroom - and a great waterfall-style shower (with a hand-held, too!) We had a good, comfortable stay and the staff were more than happy to help with anything we asked for (we needed an iron to use while we were there!)

Ulemper: Windows were boarded up hence I woke up not knowing if it is raining or sunny outside. Arrived the first night with no proper pillows provided (only small display cushions)- asked the staff at that time if they have normal pillows and the reply I got was that is all the pillows they have. Asked a different staff the next day and had a much better response- apologised and sent for pillows right away. Both bath towels provided were dirty- 1 had sticky tar like substance, 1 had hair on it. There is no blanket. The second day (weekday), woke up to construction sounds early at 8am. Throughout the night you can hear people walking and closing doors, hence room is not soundproof as advertised. Lift was tight and 1 out of 2 lifts were out of service, hence waiting time is long.

Ulemper: Construction work ongoing. Posters said noise would start st 9am. Rude 8am awakening. On top of that there are NO facilities. No TV. No kettle. Not even cups or glasses. There’s a nice bar upstairs, but you can’t take your drink back to your room to not watch your TV. It’s budget in the extreme, which is fine, but when you pay more than £300 for a night because who knows what is going on in London and all the hotels are insane prices, £300 is a lot of money for budget. Will NOT be returning.

Ulemper: Odd plastic coating to the carpets in the corridor, at least on the 6th floor where I was! I arrived tired and hungry at 10pm and there was no food to be had at all in the hotel. Had to go to a burger place opposite! The shower head (not the rainfall one above; the hand-held attachment) was slightly broken at the base spraying water out at an odd angle.

Ulemper: There was a smell in the hallway on the 9th floor, nothing bad and I think the carpet was being cleaned in the morning to sort. Could of done with Coffee machine in room and dressing table as a lot of unused space could have been used.

There was a kitchenette in our suite, which meant that we could self-cater on some days - a significant saving in high season. There is also a guest laundry. Ulemper: The bed was squeaking with every little move, which was extremely annoying. The bed sofa's mattress was of poor quality and uncomfortable to sleep in. There was little natural light available.

Fordele: It’s all about location! Just a few steps from Trafalgar Square and so central to everything. There was a kitchenette in our suite, which meant that we could self-cater on some days - a significant saving in high season. There is also a guest laundry. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was spotless. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly.
Ulemper: There was no window in our bedroom and although there was a small opening window in the adjacent study nook, it felt quite claustrophobic. (The staff did their best by providing a small fan for air circulation.) The air conditioning unit was very noisy, but nothing that ear plugs didn’t fix.

We expected it to be quite loud but found the hotel to be extremely quiet and comfortable during our stay there. The hotel has a very funky vibe and is suited to travellers who don't mind being in the heart of the action and looking for a modern hotel. The room was comfortable and had all the modern conveniences one would expect from a hotel of W's size. Overall, a pretty good stay!

Ulemper: I received the worst treatment possible from the managerial staff. Firstly, even though they had my reservation, which was made and confirmed a month and a half in advance, they decided that they didn't have any room available for me to stay in when I arrived to check in. I found this to be very unprofessional since they could have called me or emailed me prior to my arrival at the hotel to give me a forewarning so that I could plan ahead as well. The situation was worsened by the staff then relaying this information to me in a very condescending manner in which they had the very unapologetic tone of "take it or leave it".
Secondly, they decided that a fair way to "compensate" me would be by reserving a room in another hotel on my behalf, without any input from me regarding choice, and then giving me a ride to this new hotel. I specifically chose the W for my stay and did not choose the other hotel when making my initial plans. So, the manager felt he could take the payment for the room at the W, decide that they no longer have a room at the W, then deny me the choice of an alternative hotel, and all without the option of a refund. They said they were compensating me, but I feel that they cheated me greatly. It was terrible customer service. Eventually, I had no choice but to take their offer of staying at the other property, which I didn't want to stay in, since they were not going to make any room available for me at the W for the night.
Truthfully, I feel there were a bunch of racial undertones and biases based on the unprofessional, condescending, unempathetic, and unapologetic tone of the manager and staff. I have stayed at many hotels around the world. This has been, by far, my worst experience with any hotel staff regarding a reservation.

Ulemper: W hotel always have party during the weekend! The room is quiet still! But you can feel the hotel is “busy” during the party time. Also, no bath in the room, which is a bit weird for this price’. Shower room very small.

Ulemper: For the price of £356 per room per night, breakfast should have been included! We cancelled our breakfast order as it took far too long to arrive and we to be elsewhere. Bar and waiting staff didn’t seem to be interested in helping or very knowledgable.

Ulemper: On two separate occasions I came to find my room door open (the housekeeping forgot to close the door when they finished cleaning my room and kept the door open with all my belongings inside) Totally made me feel unsafe! The first room (spectacular room) is very small bcoz of the counter they have in the middle, takes up soo much space in the room so no place to move around. Cleanliness wasn’t good either although i did point it out a few times. And above all that my room was just on top of the bar so the noise was too much to handle and my room was actually shaking from the loud sound.

Ulemper: Furniture bit old fashioned, dark woods makes the room dark. Mini bar was a bit poor for £285 room. 2 alcoholic drinks and the rest was soft drinks. The toiletries were poor tried washing my hair with literally zero suds. Better quality products needed for a high standard hotel. I was charged for 2 phone calls- again I don’t think you should be charged for using the phone- it should be free as a facility!

Ulemper: Well it is what it is. Very small pod rooms. Think large sleeper train compartment size. I don’t think a heavy tall bloke would even fit into the room I had. Shower was very good and actually plenty of room unlike the rest of the pod. Sep loo and sink very cramped. Like thousands of others I will book again. But if you are 6.2 Rugby build or above beware of room size.

Fordele: Had the absolute pleasure of staying at SoHostel. Well cared for, clean and well equipped with some of the most caring and dedicated staff I’ve come across. A special mention to Amanda, Jake and Valerio who all made incredibly sincere efforts to make sure I was comfortable and accommodated during my stay, I have never met such kind and caring staff. Fordele: Had the absolute pleasure of staying at SoHostel. Well cared for, clean and well equipped with some of the most caring and dedicated staff I’ve come across. A special mention to Amanda, Jake and Valerio who all made incredibly sincere efforts to make sure I was comfortable and accommodated during my stay, I have never met such kind and caring staff. A huge recommendation from me.

Fordele: Breakfast was good, staff exceeded expectations for friendliness and helpfulness.
Ulemper: Bedding could be better, pillows very flat and made sleep difficult. Rooms get very warm as window barely opens. Lights in the corridors could be dimmer after 11pm as they shone under the door and kept the room lighter than is good for sleeping.

Ulemper: the breakfast pancakes and waffles, the room scent too strong in lobby, horrible elevator music playing all over the hotel, worn down interior, lamps that didn't work, the door had been painted so many times it was hard to open and close without using a lot of force. The hotel just doesn't feel luxurious at all.

Ulemper: Værelset var så lille (bogstaveligt talt væg til væg-seng), at der ikke var nogen steder at lægge noget. Jeg rejste med min datter, så at dele en seng var ikke ideelt. Vi blev sat i et kælderværelse uden vindue, så det var mørkt, hvilket var fint til at sove, men syntes farligt, hvis der var en brand, og ville have været lidt deprimerende, hvis vi havde ønsket at være på værelset mere.

Fordele: I have stayed in Mimis many times. I like the location very much, close to nice restaurants which are still open when I finish work.
Ulemper: The size of the rooms is fine. I find them cosy and generally sleep very well, which is one of the reasons I choose to stay there. In fact this room was a little large than normal. However on this occasion there were several issues which caused me a big problem - I essentially got no sleep at all: (i) the thermostat seemed broken causing fluctuations in temperature; (ii) the walls were very thin and I could hear the neighbour performing all of his/her bathroom functions, including regular vomiting; (iii) the light switches were broken and there was no way to turn off all the lights. The lights were on all night.

Ulemper: 3rd stay here and can't believe how it has deteriorated. Majority of staff came across very unhappy and unfriendly. Service at breakfast was non existent, no offer of coffee , had to ask for food to be restocked at the hot buffet. Dining area was dirty especially on tables and chairs . Paid for a bigger room which was lovely but were not told bathroom was set up for disabled use ,which is great to see but takes the edge of a bit of luxury when spending that bit more. Burnt my head as shower kept fluctuating in temperature to the extreme,which is very concerning if it is being used by anyone with a disability. Couldn't get signal on the TV.

Ulemper: When I arrived at 10 am I asked for early check-in as I had requested by mail and phone already, invoking business meetings at noon for which I had to shower and dress and the fact that I was going to leave at 6 am the next day and would thus occupy the room less than 24h. The answer was a stereotype "we have no availability now, have to put you on waiting list, cannot guarantee you will get a room before 14h". Only when I insisted, mentioning that someone had just checked out in front of me and that it would certainly not take more than an hour to make up that room and that otherwise I would have to look further and cancel my reservation did the staff take the "trouble" of calling housekeeping. And - surprise - there were actually two nice rooms free and ready on the top floor ! Afterwards the staff became very friendly and accomodating though, allowing me to have my breakfast (which was included) on the day of arrival rather than of the departure which would have been too early. I cannot say whether the initial formality and lack of flexibility and disposition is company policy or was due to the attitude of the two people at the reception.

Fordele: The hotel was in the best location , rooms very spacious , and staff very helpful , we were originally next to rooftop bar but they changed us when we expressed concern about noise , this was my second stay here and would come back
Ulemper: If I had to mention anything , it would be the water pressure in the shower, water hot but pressure extremely low.

Ulemper: This hotel is more 3 star. Needed to move room as first room was not fit to stay in. Wires out of the wall with extension leads to TV and fridge. Fridge empty no telephone, door rubbing against carpet and told the floor had been refurbished. Clearly was not finished.

Fordele: This hotel's location is the best thing about it: right in the middle of things. The bed was fantastically comfy.
Ulemper: The bathroom was poorly designed (water went everywhere), the keycard expired, and everything was fairly drab in the room. The people at the front desk were not that friendly, but fine.

Ulemper: Everything was great, with the exception of coffee at breakfast. Please invest in a coffee machine.

Ulemper: I didn’t think our room was worth the price I paid. I’d booked a superior queen room but the room didn’t match the photos online and was pretty basic for a 5* superior room. No lamps in the room and a hole in the wall with wire and plug socket just left hanging from there, the mini-bar fridge was empty and not switch on. Only a single screen on the shower so when you had a shower it practically flooded the bathroom. Just a bit disappointed really, this was meant as a birthday treat for my daughter and was hoping for a more luxurious looking room for the price.

Fordele: Excellent location in the soho neighborhood and a short walk to the metro to easily get around London.
Ulemper: The AC would not get as comfortably cool as we would have liked, plus we were stuck with two small beds instead of one queen, and the beds were a bit too firm.
