Fordele: Det er et fantastisk hotel, beliggenhed er i top, let at gå alle steder hen. Baren hyggelig og værelserne indeholder det man har brug for. Rigtig dejligt st der bliver nattet af, hyggeligt at komme hjem til.
Ulemper: Lidt sen rengøring kl 14.30, hvor vi kom tilbage og ville slappe af et øjeblik. Måtte spørge husjomfruen om der blev gjort rent idag, og hun var forbløffet over st det ike var sket endnu.

Ulemper: Dette er absolut mit foretrukne hotel i de mange byer, jeg har besøgt. Det er charmerende og elegant med værelser store og komfortable af enhver standard, og personalet er ekstraordinært, Der er næppe en tid i de sidste 20 år, at Landemærket ikke har været min "gå til" beliggenhed under de årlige ture jeg forsøger at gøre til London.

Ulemper: Tried to check in at 3:00 PM, was given the room at 5:00 PM. The room smelled like food & had an extra bed when I came in (which I didn’t ask for) The room smelled like a kitchen for 4 nights. Will not be staying there again.

Ulemper: The delay response on our orders, they take more than 30 min. to do what we ask for. Also, we have booked a room with a garden view (which cost a way more than a city view). HOWEVER when we came over to the hotel, the receptionist informed us that all rooms with garden view is occupied. This is a lack of credibility!

Ulemper: I had problems with: 1) having to switch room because of plumbing technical problems ... 2) not having the room view-location requested and paid for ... despite having to switch to another room without the view requested. 3) having noticed (unfavorable odor) in the drinking glasses during having the dinner. I do suggest that these above remarks are brought to the attention of the administration of the GH-Hotel, Berlin. Thank you, Dr. Saeid A. Alghandi

I forgot to take one luggage from the room and until I ask them after few hours then they checked and telling yes they are keeping. I saw the bag is unlock and when I ask they said no lock. So upset. Actually I locked my bag. The lock is missing

Ulemper: I didn't expect a shared room to feel that uncomfortable. It smelt really bad and a couple of guys were snoring all night long. Having a shared bathroom for multiple rooms was a bit tricky cause then you have to wait in queue for your turn. I left the property more exhausted than I entered it.

Ulemper: We stayed in an Executive room with access to the Lounge where breakfast was free. And as the old adage goes.... you get what you pay for ! The eggs were inedible and other food seemed stale. No bottles of water / diet soda in the lounge. Over an 8 night stay, we ate there ONCE. There was LOUD renovation noise all day long. The room requires more lighting and the decor seems very dated. Housekeeping needs help - some days they replaced the hand towels, some days they didnt. Some days the room wasnt turned down till past 6 pm. We had an important package delivered to the hotel - left with the Concierge. On checking, they said they had not received it. We followed up the next day and they "found it". Apologized for not delivering it earlier. Overall, the Concierge service is condescending at best.

Vi fik et forfærdeligt værelse med meget støjende ventilation. Morgenmaden var af lav kvalitet alt i alt en dårlig oplevelse i forhold til prisen.

Ulemper: NOT good value. NOT anybody's fault. It's very difficult for even big name hotels to compete anymore in the historical, traditional locations. Mayfair is Georgian period, latest Victorian. Rooms are small. Noisy. Lifts cramped and shaking. Corridors dark. Thin line between ye olde quaint and 'old dump. Modern hotels win EVERY TIME. Regret breakfast very poor - Gordon Ramsay would be embaressed with his own restaurant in the mornings.

Ulemper: Renoveringer er stadig i gang. Bygningen fandt sted på værelset ved siden af os i løbet af dagen på en ugedag. Ingen bygning i weekenden og det startede på en rimelig time på hverdage. Få faciliteter på hotellet, men vi var ikke på udkig efter at bruge dem. Min kone sov ikke så godt, hun har brug for en konturpude, og en var ikke til rådighed.

Ulemper: When we arrived, our room was not ready. We reserved a deluxe room but at the beginning they give us a room with no view, they then change it to a street view one. Room service and reception are not do not answer phone calls in late evening or at night. Food in the breakfast is not variable and is the same everyday.

Bathroom was very tight, but I understand that this is sometimes the case when you travel abroad. We traveled for 3 weeks in British Isles and stayed at wonderful places, some of which had a incredible value for what we got.

Ulemper: 1. I absolutely hated the sink plugs and the bath plugs. They kept getting blocked and had to be manually unplugged. This is very unhygienic, disgusting and outdated! Please replace! 2. At busy times there was a long wait for the lifts 3. I did not like the cleanliness. The cleaners were using very dirty mops.

Ulemper: The vent was always on, which I presume is to ventilate the room considering it was on the basement floor. So although it did no bother me, a light sleeper might find it slightly noisy. You can hear the tube from outside when it passes by, and the room shakes a little when it happens, but again it did not bother me.

Ingen måde for at placere 2 udpakket kufferter, idet værelset alene havde seng og et natbord og badeværelse, og så var pladsen brugt. Der er lydt på hotellet, så smæk med døre og sene ankomster af folk kan klart høres..

Ulemper: There was nowhere to put our suitcases and the space between the bed and the drop-down table was a bit tight. The Notting Hill Carnival was on that weekend and some hotel guests decided to continue partying in their hotel rooms and the corridor until 5 in the morning both the Saturday & Sunday night without any consideration of the noise level of their music. On the Sunday night we were exhausted from the hot and long day we had had, so were phoned Reception to complain. Staff immediately responded and thankfully so did the hotel guest

Ulemper: The first room we were given (919) was in a terrible state. Musty smell, stains and hairs on bedlinen, broken but patched bath panel. Far from what you'd expect from paying £330 for the night. We then complained and were ungraded (not sure you could call it that) to an executive room (550). The tv kept on turning on and off, and when on wouldnt show channels. The bedlinen had holes. The bathroom decor was crumbling (paint) and old. We were then interrupted by Housekeeping at 8.45am who wanted to service the room. Would not stay again.

The hostel does provide breakfast, and a 10% off discount for anything you order at the bar (burger and a beer is normally 15 pounds, so you get that for 13.50). The staff was friendly, and the bedding was clean in the hostel. The showers had warm water and seemed to be cleaned on a somewhat regular basis. The bar area is open to you 24 hours a day, though the kitchen closes at 10 and the bar closes to the public at midnight.
Beyond that, you can't beat the location in terms of it being a launching point for getting around the city. You are on several bus lines and three different tube lines. You are also only a mile's walk from Hyde park on a main road that is well lit, even at night.

Ulemper: There is no lift & the stairs were narrowed....especially when you have big bags & more than 1 luggage. My rromate actually booked from 11-15 Sept but she checked out on the 12 Sept due to the room is too small. Not as per in the picture shown. My room is a Female Room for 3 pax but during the last night.....middle of the night, me & another lady from Brazil were awaken when the hostel staff came in to our room & asked whether we mind having a guy to stay in our room....since it was after midnight & both of us are checking out the next morning...we have agreed but if we were to check out later....we will not allow as this room is stated for FEMALE ONLY.

Ulemper: First off, if you are a light sleeper, don't choose this hostel. It is on a highly-used road and the windows will be open in the room. If you wake up at every horn or siren, you will not have a good time sleeping here. In addition to that, the larger rooms have 24 people, so you can expect them to be coming and going at all hours, some quietly, some not (which also means your experience is not 100% on the hostel staff). Bar noise was non-existent, so don't worry about that.
The breakfast was a bit of a zoo, and a bit of a disappointment. They had loaves of bread with a toaster (butter and jam), some cereal and milk. There was also tea and coffee. It was pretty well picked over by 8:15, and the staff was too busy cleaning the bar to replace anything. To that end, the staff in the hostel always seemed to be stretched too thin. People are working the hostel front desk and the bar at the same time. They are not mean about it, but if you catch it wrong, you can end up waiting a bit to be helped. There were also a few people who were sleeping in the hallway at times, though I was not sure if they were just too drunk to remember their passcodes or had snuck in. Also, I never saw any semblance of a manager for either the bar or the hostel (not that I ever needed one).
The cleanliness of the rooms and the bathrooms left something to be desired, the rooms especially. Though I didn't spend much time in them, there was usually some crumbs / scraps of wrappers on the floor, which did not feel clean even when those larger pieces of rubbish were not there. This comes back to you experience being tied to the people you are in the room with however. In particular, there was one person who's luggage smelled like a college student's laundry bin that had been left to sit during the winter break, in-short, really bad.
My final warning would be that there are not a lot of power outlets in the rooms, and there are only two bathrooms to accommodate 50+ people, as opposed to 4 showers.

Ulemper: I really don’t want to be bad, but when I left yesterday, I took my shower and I realized so many bed bugs on my body. I am not angry but I think a refound will be fair.

The place it self wasn't really clean looking and smelt really disgusting but you get used to it after a while in the room

Ulemper: Uncleanliness is an issue. The rooms are slightly tiny for that many beds and yeah don't sleep in the middle bunk. There isn't much space above your head. You just sit up to adjust the bedsheet, get down the bed to go outside or do anything really, you'll just hit your head on the top bunk above you. You just crawl to make small movements whenever you're relaxing in the middle bunk.

Fordele: Great location if you are attending any event in Hyde Park. Complimentary breakfast: just pastries, fruit and coffee in the lounge. There is no other dining on site, but loads near by. Great staff, all very helpful and welcoming. We had a fantastic room, spacious and we'll equipped. Room was quiet even though we were at the heart of London.

Ulemper: The room wasn’t ready when we arrived at after 4pm. Then the receptionist told us he didn’t know When the room would be ready, not long hopefully, so we used a friends room to get ready and to leave our luggage as we had dinner plans. When we arrived back at the hotel after 9pm, we were told our room was ready. We went to our room which was clearly under renovation, dirty, unmade bed empty drink cartons and rubbish all over the bathroom floor. We went back to reception and the receptionist was unaware of the filthy room or that it was getting renovated. Room2 on another floor, no air conditioning, broken and when the maintenance guy came he said the hotel was aware but told him to show his face to keep the customer happy. What a diabolical way to treat paying customers. I WON’T BE RECOMMENDING YOUR HOTEL, YOUR ONLY INTERESTED IN MY MONEY NOT GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE- SHAME ON YOU.

Ulemper: No water bottle refill available on the ground floor (although there was an ice machine). We were given free water in plastic bottles though. I tried to phone the hotel several times the day before our arrival, but was unable to get through.

Værelset var lidt varmt, det var november, så jeg troede, at jeg ville åbne vinduet. Den er skruet fast. Lysene foran på hotellet vil skinne ind på værelset om aftenen. Ulemper: De havde ingen idé om min aflysning med Kajak for de sidste tre nætter og fortalte mig bare, at jeg forudbetalte hele opholdet. Jeg ringede til Kayak og bekræftede annulleringen og fik at vide, at personalet i receptionen bare ikke ved en smule stressende.

Took an age to check in we paid £13 each for breakfast no orange juice no water ran out off coffee toaster broke no eggs we were never offed a refund for breakfast just to fill in a complaint form it must have been the same experience for everyone who stayed as a gentleman refused to pay for his room and walked off with out paying would NOT STAY AGAIN we have stayed for the last two years for the Hyde Park radio 2 concert but not next year

Ulemper: We booked two rooms,Rooms very small ,one of the rooms window wasn’t possible to open ,the other rooms window had a gap ,so it’s open all the time .Too much furniture,very old as well ,carpet awful .After complaining we got upgrade to different rooms ,which were much more better .Overall very bad first impression.Never stayed in 4 star hotel which rooms are in such a bad condition.
